So it looks like Jeffrey has hacked into someone's Twitter account and has taken it over. His mum's going to be raging when she finds out.

Mostly useless Info I've learned from the MN hacking:

1. kek means lol (thank you google)

1. 1337 means hacker 'elite'. Big yourselves up, boys. I mean, if you don't, who will?

1. The Jeffrey's of this world really do hate women having opinions and talking to each other.

Schoolboys are unlikely to hate Mumsnet. That takes "men" who want to continue abusing women, to abandon DC without maintenance, to prevent women ever having a voice or a safe place to ask for advice

Also, I doubt if schoolkids can manage attacks of this magnitude, let alone a series of them.

To overwhelm a site as big as Mumsnet with DDoS would have taken a botnet with maybe a million infected computers.

Pathetic Jeff and his wankbadger mates may not have done this personally, whatever they claim: for the price of a sleazy week in Thailand they could purchase an APDoS (Advanced Persistent Denial-of-Service) from one of the black hat market sites.

Under- gg means good game. I had to google. When am I ever going to use that in normal conversation?!

Is that the civil service account? He did that over a week ago. I don't know why it hasn't been taken down, unless Twitter and the police are leaving it on a 'give him enough rope. ...' basis.

People actually pay others to do this sort of crap? That's a bit desperate isn't it???

MNHQ I received an email from [email protected] despite not being signed up for newsletters? I deleted it but wanted to Confirm it was legit? I checked my setting and am definitely not signed up to receive any mailings from Mumsnet.

See I really don't believe this idea that they hate MN. I'd have expected a lot more rhetoric coming out of their various platforms.

I think they saw.people speculating on threads on here and decided it would get more publicity if they had a 'cause'. I think they are just sad individuals doing it for shots and giggles. The big social networks , banks etc were beyond their abilities.

I don't genuinely think it's a teenager. I do think it's someone pretty young who has spent far too long online. I mean Kek and gg ? Who the fuck actually says that except young lads?

On another note, did people.see in the news about the AM suicides?

On the Twitter - I assume so. I mean, whatever he may think, when he called out swat teams the police were also victims. The police don't take kindly to that. Especially the big ones with guns who risk their lives and the horrors of a police firearms license to do so (there are very interesting articles out there on that last topic).

Well yes - armed police call outs have led to deaths of innocents (including chikdren) haven't they? Which is why most people over the age of 13 realise swatting is fucking stupid.

Every time I read Sadsack, I think "sack of testicles". Is that just my smutty mind or because theirs (their Ss I mean) is so deficient, maybe?

There is also a fuck load of pressure on armed police in this country (because most aren't ) and think of things like - Oh god I've forgotten his name -the barrister who got killed by armed police and the subsequent enquiry. If anyone has the Times there was a really sad article in the magazine a year or two back on the mental health price armed police often pay for their job.

So , you know, call them out to bully an au pair. Cool.
