Hi, sorry I didn't post this last night when it was happening but DS decided to be a PITA and make me go back to RL!

I had a thread open and it kept refreshing independently and then I'd lose the adds at the side and then they'd come back. Also taking an age to load.

My first thought was something was a amiss and I vaguely remember last time it did that, thinking it was weird, but I'm sure it was around the time of the DDOS attacks?

When I try and post in the new app, it tells me I appear to be offline, but otherwise it's working fine? Is this beta weirdness or something else?

I think I'd probably try to cease using the new App if I were you. The final version is coming down on us in a week or two so the test version's days are numbered anyway and at the moment.....Well. Who can trust a word it says?

(I can appreciate your position if the alternative is to use Safari though - they'd have to tie me in a chair and whip me to make me use that.)

I keep getting logged out so that I have to log in again every time I come back to the site after a day or so. This is on my phone and iPad. I don't use the app just the mobile site.
I do check there is a little padlock in the address bar. Is everything okay.?

I haven't yet read the whole of this thread, but was wondering if there is any connected (?) reason that the app now appears not to be working on iPad / iPhone? I can login on laptop fine, but both iPad and iPhone refuse to connect........

They have discontinued the app because they found it a security risk. They are working on a new one.

The only way I can get into mumsnet is through the

have checked all possible ways and mumsnet in all threads comes up under http rather than https. I already seem to be logged on but I was on early this morning so am assuming this is the safe version and not hacker jeffreys version. Could someone clarify if the http is the safe one or not??

If not then I need to redo password!!!
