Why are some members of this site allowed to get away with persistently being vile, pushing an agenda, defending the indefensible, upsetting other members, twisting versions of events and generally being nasty, and they do not get banned?

Not about any one particular poster, but I have noticed that some stronger "personalities" on here seem to be Teflon coated.

Why is this?

Why do the owners of this site want that kind of vile poster and do not seem to care about the number of truly decent kind posters who are being upset and driven off the site?

You're a cunt but not actually evil and malicious. It's one thing to be out & out evilly weaselly on a thread and open so people can see, and another to be sneaky sinister squirrelry.

hathor - unfortunately, unless you're more specific (not naming names, obviously) it's a very difficult question for anyone, never mind MNHQ to answer.

Define 'vile' for instance, or pushing an agenda - we're probably all guilty of the latter sometimes not mentioning low carb any more and certainly not on this thread

It's a tough line for MNHQ to tread - they adopt a 'light touch' when it comes to moderation. And look at the uproar that was caused when they started to get heavier with the delete button!

I would far rather that some posts were too 'forceful' - for want of a better word - than everything is deleted and censored left, right and centre.
