I inherited one a tortoise from a batty but lovely old great great aunt who had at least 9 (including the huge tortoise variety) when I was 8.

Mine was called fizzy,he could run at a very slow but scary speed,often bit your fingers when fed lettuce and was a bit of a bastard-my rabbit regularly tried humping him and he bit it and drew blood.

I think I've got a bit of Palma Violet stuck in my eye now and it won't stop watering.

I put a baby degu in my bra once when it got chucked out of it's box and I found it freezing cold. It was the quickest way I could of think of warming it up quickly. I've never heard the end of it from my family. The bastards!

I agree with others who have said that simply being a highly charged type who appears to need a lot of attention and drama around her is not a sackable offence.

So pets with eating disorders are common then. Its not just my anorexic tortoise.

I bloody beg that tortoise to eat. I get down on my knees and do my best to tempt him with out of season strawberries, but no. Every year, back to the vet to be tube fed to kick start him again.

Then....Then the little bastard eats all of the nice plants in the garden.

Whats wrong with taking a cat to McDs? I once went through the drive through behind a horse drawn carriage pulled by 2 spectacular black horses!
And no, my torties arent hibernating, they are too tiny still, but when they do, the latest guidelines are to put them in a fridge!
DSDad once suggested popping them in the freezer and then thawing them out in the microwave on low, but im not sure that would work!
