Who gives a crap

Has anyone bought Who gives a Crap toilet rolls?
I wondered if they are worth it.
The Facebook page has great reviews, Ocado quite the opposite!
Let me know your thoughts please :-)

I don't know why people bother with these fancy toilet rolls when you can get these- made in the UK from recycled paper, wrapped in paper, available on the high street

Porterpoets · 19/05/2026 21:31

100% worth it. We won’t go back now, but do make sure you have the space to store them. The box is large!

TakeMeToKernow · 19/05/2026 21:32

Good lord, no. I don’t know how they get away with their outrageous marketing claims.

And because we’re a family that do caravan holidays (ahem) we’re accustomed to “two ply” toilet roll.

From a product quality POV, all marketing, no substance. If they have some eco credentials you’re interested in, I can’t help. But using less was NOT part of what we observed.

WhitegreeNcandle · 19/05/2026 21:33

I’ve always Pooh pooed them and bought the Sainsbury’s linked above. But I got reeled in on social media and saw an ad where they blame the bathroom dust on cheap loo roll. Anyone know if this is true?!

TakeMeToKernow · 19/05/2026 21:34

I suspect Facebook reviews (no purchase necessary) are easier to generate than Ocado (actual customers).

scrivette · 19/05/2026 21:34

I really like them, at first they felt really flimsy but you have to learn to trust that they are strong!

jay55 · 19/05/2026 21:35

I bought a box once, start of lockdown when there was none in the supermarkets. It shed so much dust, I have black tiles on the bathroom floor and they were white.
i don’t need loo roll to create extra cleaning.

TakeMeToKernow · 19/05/2026 21:35

During my weekly wipe down with Purdy and Fig (another one I fell for) I noticed no change to bathroom dust during my Who Gives A Crap phase.

Ilikeanicecupofteainthemorning · 19/05/2026 21:35

bathroom dust???
they really are scraping the barrel there
ite the very definition of virtue signalling
plenty of water/sanitation charities you can donate directly to if you are concerned about that

SoapCollector · 19/05/2026 21:37

I didn't find it to be any different to standard supermarket toilet roll in length or quality. I then also found out it travels all the way from China. The packaging looks pretty and distinctive but it seems a bit excessive to wrap every roll individually.

I recommend the Sainsbury's rolls as mentioned by @Ilikeanicecupofteainthemorning above.

DoctorMartin · 19/05/2026 21:37

The rolls last twice as long as the cheap ones I was buying before. I will continue to order them.

Myfridgeiscool · 19/05/2026 21:40

Another fan of Sainsbury’s paper wrapped ones here. The big rolls last ages.
The crap ones seem so expensive in comparison and awkward for storage.

Virtue signalling loo roll! Sorry that made me laugh! 😂

Bazoo

OnlyOneAdda · 19/05/2026 21:47

We’ve been WGAC for several years now - I really rate them - BUT only the bamboo not the recycled. Read the reviews when we first ordered that suggested this was the way to
go. But been very happy with the bamboo.

I like subscription options for this sort of thing - we also have SMOL dishwasher tabs / washing capsules.

Bringbackbuffy · 19/05/2026 21:51

I applied for a job with them, got an automated rejection and a 20% off discount voucher. Thought it was pretty abysmal that they would use recruitment to try and boost their lead generation. Would never buy from them based on that alone.

Thought candidates applying deserve a bit more respect than an automatic rejection but please buy our product. Poorly judged

FlapperFlamingo · 19/05/2026 21:55

I tried a box of who gives a crap. Never again. The paper goes crumby and rolls into little balls. We all agreed it was useless and we didn’t like it and went back to Andrex

IfWhippetsRuledTheWorld · 19/05/2026 22:04

We had a roll provided at a holiday let and were excited to try it as I've seen it advertised so much. It was absolutely dire, we binned half the roll. It was thin and cheap feeling. Wouldn't ever buy it.

But I see above they do two types, a bamboo and a recycled. Not sure which we tried but I'd never risk it buying again to be able to find out

Lunchtimehelp · 19/05/2026 22:07

I think I will try the Sainsbury's ones. Thanks for the link.

I'm shocked they used job applications for marketing.

Bathroom dust - that sounds crazy! I haven't heard that one before.

Terrible. I've tried them a couple of times thinking I must have mis-remembered, but no, they are still terrible & leave toilet roll crumbs all over your bum.

Lunchtimehelp · 19/05/2026 22:12

On the subject of loo roll.. Does anyone remember that horrible brown paper in sheets. It was like grease proof/ baking paper.
My Grampa had it, used to cut up your bum. Hated it.

What's Purdy and Fig like? That keeps popping up to.

Yes!, I don’t get dusty bathrooms now. I’d always wondered how my loo was dusty. Now, they are beautifully dust free. For this reason, I’m in and have used for 18 months now.

CaffeinatedMum · 19/05/2026 22:14

We use it, can’t comment on quality really, it does the job though. Weirdly our downstairs loo used to get blocked fairly regularly and hasn’t at all since we started using it… could be a coincidence. Anyway we just like it because of the convenience of having such a big delivery and then not having to worry about it. We bulk buy quite a bit to reduce then the weekly shop so I guess it just firsts our way of shopping.

CaffeinatedMum · 19/05/2026 22:14

My bathrooms also don’t get dusty
