Has anyone else applied for Brit ks4 for 2026?

It looks very quiet in here this year:) My DD applied for year 12 for Digital Art (formerly IDD). Now she is waiting for the link to send her portfolio. She applied on Monday, but have not got the link yet (hope it will come). What you are applying for?

My son put in an application for fmp - sent it off Friday last week, next step is the link for the portfolio. My daughter is also waiting on results for sixth form application, but she's an internal applicant as she is already there so had her audition before Christmas, now it's just a really long wait!

Do you know how long to wait for the link for the portfolio? What's your DD's strand in the Brits?

Hi my daughter applied for year 10 FMP. We are waiting to hear about the portfolio.

I seem to remember it was a couple of weeks from the application for my daughter, but that was a couple of years ago. She's VAD at the moment but wants to change strand for sixth form to music .

As in a couple of weeks after applications closed or a couple of weeks after you put the application in. We did application in October and nothing yet.

honestly not sure as I think she got the application in a couple of days before the applications closed!

Just got the link for her portfolio, phew...

Just went trough the Brit's FAQ and under "What documents will I need when I apply?" I saw that not only passport copy would be needed but also a copy of a utility bill which should show the address of the applicant. My DD is 16yo, but she doesn't have any Utility bills(she is not paying them). Even my utility bills are all online, not on the paper. Is anyone whose kids are already in the Brits, what did you do regarding to the utility bill? Would provisional driving licence do the job?

I don't remember having to provide proof of address at the application stage - I think that was just once an offer had been sent. Not sure what we used, but my daughter wouldn't have had a utility bill in her name either so we may have just sent a screenshot of one in our name?

Just got an appointment for a meeting for KS4 music strand . Don’t know when yet as need my daughter to log on. Already feel nervous for her . Good luck all with your applications !

My DS auditioned for music strand on the 7th jan. We're out of catchment. He made reserve list for yr 10 but unfortunately did not get a place.

No indication was given as to when we'll hear!

If there's any news I'll let people know on here.

I do feel it's pretty impossible to know exactly what they're looking for.....

DD applied for MT. Waiting anxiously for a date for the auditions!

Hope this time your DS will be the lucky one! My DD finally uploaded her portfolio for DA and fingers crossed we soon hear from the school, hopefully with the date for an interview:)

Internal music strand applicants just found out so if you haven't already had an email you may get a decision soon. xx

My daughter applied for y12 and now on the app it’s showing details of how to appeal - I’m guessing it’s a no for us though haven’t had the official notification yet.
