KS4 brit school 2026

Has anyone else applied for Brit ks4 for 2026?

We all find out different times ks4 musical theatre was 3 weeks ago so within the next week some will no

So I called the school today and they said that we should hear either today or next week. This refers to KS4 MT.
At this point I feel we just want to know so we can all move on 😬

I wonder if we could hear any minute now. Does anyone know what time of the day they usually send emails?

My Daughter has just got a place on the VAD post 16 I couldnt be any happier, she has been in hospital all week and this is the best news ever. Congratulations to all 😆

ks4 fmp results are in - just had an email - the boy child has been offered a place so he is now bouncing off the walls and the girl child is coming to terms with the fact that her brother is going to be at the same school as her again

Hello @Templeria I just wondered how your daughter has found the BRIT school? My daughter has been offered a place and we're just weighing it up as she's at a good school already. She loved Brit but I'm wondering if they stream etc? She's very capable and it's a little bit of a shame she can't do languages there, though the arts is what she loves.

My Daughter got in for KS4 FMP!! So excited. We can't find the enrollment form though on her applica, I assume that's because the email came through an hour ago.

She absolutely adores it and she’s grown so much in confidence etc from her old school where in all honesty she didn’t have a good time.

In terms of academics, they stream in the core subjects in year 10, so English, Maths and Science. The teachers she’s had have all been great, though they definitely do leave them to their own devices more, and treat them more like adults so not constantly chasing for homework etc - the kids have to be much more motivated and disciplined to do the work. It’s more like a college atmosphere I think.

Academics wise I’d say the standard is reasonably high - my daughter was one of the top of her year in her old school, but while she’s top sets for Brit, she’s very much middle of the class there - there are a lot of insanely bright kids there. I guess that prob would depend on how good your daughters current school is though as to where you’d judge the level to be.

It is definitely a different school experience, maybe not for everyone, but I’ve nothing but positives to say about it. Good luck making a decision and well done to your daughter for the offer :)

My DC was offered a place for VAD ks4! We are very happy.

My daughter got a place for VAD KS4. Has anyone had a look at accepting their place yet? I couldn't see the enrolment bit that the email mentioned. Still just showing the interview/workshop date.

It’s a no-brainer for us, DD has been dreaming of this since she started year 7 and realised her school wasn't the right school for her! I can’t believe it’s happened but she’s worked so hard and wanted it so, so much. So much so she cried in the interview and thought she’d messed it up. 😅

I also still don’t see the enrolment bit in the application yet. Maybe they will add it on Monday?

I just wanted to ask a quick question about the (VAD) pathway for Year 10. What kinds of things did you include in your portfolio it’s all new to me!

Also, is there anything that can be prepared in Year 8 to help get ready for applying in Year 9?

Does she do Brit kids on a Saturday? My daughter found that helpful

I would suggest you to go to their Open Day, have a look around and ask questions. They also show examples of previous portfolios and give advice.
