@BeJadeMoose thank you he is understandable upset but everything happens for a reason he can re apply for post 16 🤞

I just received an email from Admissions about a letter with important dates attached but the attachment was missing…I wrote them about it. Did you receive the attachment?

Anyone else struggling with the KS4 options form it’s because the form wants each subject selected as a 1st/2nd/3rd preference.. even the one they can’t actually do!! For example my DD is doing VAD but the form wants a pretence for GCSE art and design which of course she can’t do. I’ve emailed the school to let them know.

Hope those still waiting for Dance find out very soon!

Have you solved that? We still haven’t done the form and I wanted to know before starting. Thanks

They sent out another email with the attachment! 😊

we did it the other day - we jus put a first choice and a second choice and put everything else as third, then sent an email to say what the actual third preference would be. Wasn’t sure what else to do!

Yes I was having trouble with the options form but realised that every subject has to be rated 1st, 2nd or 3rd before you can submit.

Is that for KS4 only?

I did submit it in the end but had to email because like others have said you have to choose a ranking for each subject (even art for VAD which is not possible). They needed a N/A choice too!

Hi! Just wonder about the chrome books in the Brits. I know year 10 has to order them from school. What about post 16?

And about pathways. My DD applied for a pathway with additional A-level and on the form it said that after the interview with the subject leader a conditional place could be offered, but if the GCSE grade will be lower than needed, the place will be revoked. Am I right to assume the place on that particular pathway will be revoked, not the place in the school?

We submitted the form Friday and all went smoothly with first, second and third choice only.
The only thing was that the answers to the questions appeared cut on the answer’s box.

Hi, my assumption is that should the desired pass grade of 6-7 and above not be a achieved then the conditional offer for the pathway subject would be rescinded not their actual place at the Brit School

Do the kids have to have the school crome book? Is it a laptop or tablet? Can they use their own laptop.

JTro · 04/05/2026 09:41

As I understood, everyone in Year 10 is buying it through school with monthly payment (not too much) for 2 years. But not sure about post 16.

Did they send an email about Chromebooks? I'm confused?

No, I saw it in the acceptance email.

Yes I had an email last week and another today

This is one for anyone on here whose DC didn’t get a place for September and either appealed or asked for feedback. We got feedback in the form of a score out of 100 and just wondered if anyone else received theirs.

Yes we got ours this week as well . My daughter got 78.
I did message out of interest to see what the threshold was but they said they do not give it out.

Thanks. Same - my dd got 75 and 25/26 for one of her performances but 20/26 for the other. Couldn’t work out why the second was that much lower as we thought they were pretty much on a par and showed a broader spectrum of her ability. I emailed to ask a couple of specific questions plus the threshold, but got the same response as you. It’s a shame we couldn’t find out as they put so much effort into it. The aural was a definite write off - we knew that - but we came out of the interview thinking it went really well.
