I wonder how many VAD workshops they are so far looks like today is 4th day or more for VAD post 16!

My DD's friend has an interview for post 16 VAD at the end of the March.

They told my DD they would hear back either way by 3rd week March for post 16 VAD

Just wonder if anyone's DC doing DA? On the open day they said it would be an interview and a workshop. But my DD got a task to do as part of her application and scheduled 20 minutes interview. Just want to confirm it's the same for other DA applicants

I don't know about anyone else, but my brain hurts after today and I'm so glad its over!

My child had the workshop/interview today and it went very well. I just logged in the application and next to the invite for today it now says ‘incomplete’. Before it showed ‘accepted’. Why is that?

Thats interesting..I think the 'accepted' would have been phase 1, now you'll need in phase 2 so its not been decided yet

I called and they said not to worry. At first they said it was a glitch in the system and when I told them that a friend has the ‘complete’ writing, they said that not all staff press on that button but not to worry because it has no relevance. Hopefully I can trust that all is good.

I’m literally sat here thinking the same thing! DreamBigSol. The singing part went fine for my daughter and the ear training but the interview could have gone better . I would be surprised if she got a place . Where are you based ? We are based in Greenwich borough . What is your dc’s specialism?

@valentina2026 its hard not to go over every bit of the audition & interview! We are OOC in Surrey so our chances are extremely small. My DC sings, plays piano & guitar and has written her own music but the standard is always extremely high! Is your DC a singer?

Yes she sings . She spoke so fast during the interview as she was nervous but she is only 13! It is daunting for them ! I think what’s meant to be will be and if not she will get more experience and apply for 6th form .I am more worried about her getting in than not getting in as will be an upheaval for travel , friends etc but I want her to follow her passion/ talent .

Do you think they are seeing 120 again this year for 25 spaces ? Do you think we will find out early next week ? I think that was roughly the timeline for last year .

Yes its so daunting, did she make notes? They take nerves into account.
So are you in catchment? I feel apprehensive over the travel but Im sure they'll get used to it quickly.
I'm unsure when they get told but assumed it would be at the end of March and there's definitely 25 spaces but unsure of no.s of auditions 😀

My daughter did ask and was told there were 90-96 auditioned over 3 days for MT. There were i think ~30 on each day but of course that could be wrong. We were friday afternoon.

Brit School are on holidays now until 16th March so unfortunately I suspect we won't hear anything until after then - I'm not sure who the waiting is worse for, the kids or the parents!

Waiting to hear the outcome for Yr 10 theatre strand workshop (was on the 27/02), is anyone else, good luck everyone!
