Walks into the club - realises I've arrived too early (just 'cos it's open, doesn't mean the cool kids have arrived...), slowly backs out again... :o

Bytheloch · 16/11/2020 19:01

🤣 welcome, welcome.
(has boiling hot face after worrying nobody is coming...)

Thanks for the new thread!

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/11/2020 19:03

Chuck some sausage rolls in the oven and another bottle of vodka in the punch and they'll all come rolling in...

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/11/2020 19:04

Right, whose taking the bets on tomorrow and who is getting tier 4 whapped on?

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/11/2020 19:06

Obviously less positive pcr results announced today but then they did about half the number of tests Hmm.

Bytheloch · 16/11/2020 19:08

(Off topic, but I genuinely was THAT person when younger. Anything with ‘networking’ in the title made me overheat very easily)

Interesting that there was no mention of Stirling today!! Think it may be spared. Lanarkshire and Glasgow City will (IMO) be 4.

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/11/2020 19:10

I was a very shy bairn and young person but I had to pretend to be a more outgoing one for work. Now I am happy to retreat back into my antisocial self. I can still pretend as and when required Smile

@WaxOnFeckOff

Right, whose taking the bets on tomorrow and who is getting tier 4 whapped on?
Isn’t that the awful, anxiety-filled bit of this that we all have to wait until tomorrow. I hope we don’t have this every Tuesday- dropped in tease and media noise across the week - until the following Tuesday😒

Nah, they often don't bother to mention Stirling and numbers here had a dramatic rise due to a care home break out, obviously that will be repeated in other areas but given the relatively small population, it really affects our numbers. Plus they've had extra mobile units out testing anyone who feels like from the locale in that area so more testing generally = bigger numbers.

I hope you are right but it really depends on how hospitals are coping in Lanarkshire and not really about whether Jamie in dunblane popped in to see his pal Callum.

ParkheadParadise · 16/11/2020 19:16

I've got my priorities right.
Tomorrow morning I'm getting my hair, nails and eyebrows done.
I'm then heading to Silverburn to look for a Designafriend Sisi Doll for dd's birthday. All before Nicola hits us with tier 4.

WaxOnFeckOff · 16/11/2020 19:16

DH just wants to know if he can get his birthday treat of a trip to the gym on Saturday since it re-opened today. I'd like to tell DS whether it's worth him coming home for DHs birthday and to collect the car so it's easier for him to come home at Christmas.

titsbumfannythelot · 16/11/2020 19:21

Silverburn was busy at the weekend @ParkheadParadise, I need to procure some design a friend things myself,

titsbumfannythelot · 16/11/2020 19:22

Also who mentioned sausage rolls?

RJnomore1 · 16/11/2020 19:24

Anyone want to guess what’s happening with Ayrshire?

They’ve stopped mentioning us...

rookiemere · 16/11/2020 19:29

I was trying to be sanguine about what happens tomorrow, but then realised in Level 4 my outdoor exercise class would be cancelled. It's bizarre how much fun it is exercising in the dark in a muddy field, just because other people who are not my family are there. So fingers crossed for tomorrow.

Surely it would make more sense to reduce broadcasts now as Tuesday is the main day of substance and the others are just about telling us how naughty we are.

In some ways - clearly not all - a country wide lockdown would be preferable rather than the sword of Damocles being waved at us constantly.

Matilda2013 · 16/11/2020 19:32

Ayrshire was included in tier 4 on the "leaked document".

PapsofJura · 16/11/2020 19:35

On the figures for our council we should remain tier 3 but as we also come under greater Glasgow health board I suspect it will be tier 4.

icanboogieboogiewoogie · 16/11/2020 19:40

Was it all of GG&C except inverclye, maybe. I'm so peed off. I froze my ass off having lunch in my sister's garden today but we're getting Tier 4'd anyway. It's so frustrating when you've kept to all the bloody arbitrary, contradictory rules all along.

ParkheadParadise · 16/11/2020 19:42

@titsbumfannythelot
Hopefully, it's not too busy tomorrow.

Mrsjayy · 16/11/2020 19:46

Hiya just joining in cos in up to here with it ! Stirling was "leaked" my sister's friend of friend told her she procedded to tell our parents who had a flakey about getting to Morrisons on Friday Hmm

Bytheloch · 16/11/2020 19:48

rookie as outdoor non contact sport is still allowed in 4, would your group count as that?

I’m just wondering if restaurants have to close in T4, those who’ve been operating as a ‘cafe’ recently should in theory be allowed to stay open for takeaway? Hospitality rules are particularly confusing.

In other news, I've just checked my amount of steps on my phone tracker. To be fair I don't carry my phone everywhere in the house but will generally take it if I'm going upstairs and vice versa.

My steps for the month so far are 9,083, average is 568, however that does include a day where i did 2,423m my lowest day was 113.

That's not good is it? I'd gotten into the habit of going for a quick walk in my half hour lunch but I can't be bothered anymore and haven't done it in months. I don't even wander round the supermarket anymore as I do click and collect.

anon444877 · 16/11/2020 19:52

Hmm I was doing about 500 steps a day in lockdown, aren't we supposed to do 10,000 per day? Usually these days if I hit 5000-8000 range I feel I've done some exercise.

It is a worry going into winter, I'm healthier than I was at the end of lockdown but not as healthy as I was before lockdown happened!
