How often do men wash!?!

It’s really starting to bother me how often my partner has a shower! I have mentioned this to him a few times now but we are now on day 4 of him having no wash at all! I shower everyday however I realise a daily shower isn’t needed for everyone. But am I being unreasonable to think he should be washing at least every other day? All I can think about is that his body hasn’t been washed in 4 days and as much as I love him it’s really off putting. I haven’t even wanted to sit near him tonight. He seems to see it as a bit of a joke, or says “that’s boys for you!” He’s in his 40s by the way so he’s not a teenager! I would be interested to hear from men too as to how often they hit the shower! Thanks in advance.

Daily or I'd have dumped. Gross.

Shower every morning, bath every night

I thought you were going to say he was showering 8 times a day. My late DH used to get up in the morning, shower, cycle to work, shower, work all day, cycle home, shower. I always thought why shower before he rides to work but he couldn't not do it. He loved a shower. 4 days is gross. 😂

@ChocOrange1 I think I gradually started to notice he kept missing showers and now I can’t help but notice how long it’s been and all I can think of is him being 4 days unwashed! We live together and I don’t expect him to look like a groomed model everyday, just basic hygiene would be nice!

I shower every day (although only wash my hair every third day, so generally it's just a quick hose down and wash)
DH isn't the most "groomed" of men, but showers most days, usually when he gets home after work, but if he's busy he might skip it until the following morning. Never any longer than that, though, and he's very particular about looking after his teeth.

Does he want to have sex when he's unshowered?

We shower every other day. Kids have a bath or shower every other day. I can go 4 days without washing my hair but not without a shower.

Shower every morning. Then a sink wash before bed. Don't want to get into bed all gross.

I shower every day. On a good week husband showers once a week on a bad week he'll leave it so it'll be two weeks. Gross, no intimacy at the moment

Every other day should be minimum. I can't believe grown ass men have to be reminded to brush their teeth! That's gross.

There would be zero chance I'd have sex with a man who hadn't washed in four days.

My husband showered every day, and when we were first dating twice a day. He also flossed his teeth every day too.
During lockdown I showered every other day, but now I'm going out snd about it's every day again.
My teenage son showers every day, my less active daughter has a bath every three days.

My DH showers every morning without fail. And he has a desk job.

Yes you can dump him for failing the most basic tasks of being a pleasant partner. I'm just imagining his unwashed scabby arse scraping across your sheets, uuuuurrrggghhh vom vom vom. 🤢🤮

Actually thinking OP I've never dated a man who hasn't showered every day. And would shower again if gym/cycle/exercise. I just couldn't be with someone who had to be told to shower like a ten year old. It just seems so ... immature?

We are in our 60s and had minimal access to water each day.
We shower each day and twice in very hot weather. Our kids from teens showered each day.Our grandchildren shower each day. I could never go back to the way we were brought up . Lucky to be bathed once a week.

wow. If my DH hasn't had a shower that day (or did have one in the morning but has since been very hot and sweaty due to weather or sport or something) and I want to have sex he will shower first. There's no way he'd turn down the sex just to save 3 mins in the shower

My husband washes his hair every morning and his face and has a bath or shower every night. If he's not at work, he'll shower in the morning too.
I shower or bathe everyday, hairwash every 2 to 3 days. Face and teeth cleaned twice a day for each of us!
Hands washed every 10 mins it feels like now

Yes I tell him it's gross. He says I'm jealous because he doesn't smell, and I'd smell if I skipped just one shower!

@MeadowHay I thought most people showered daily or every other day too. Some weeks he’s ok but then I’ve lost count now of the amount of times he’s gone 3 or 4 days. @Cushionsnotpillows I find it a bit immature too, he just seems to find having showers a chore. I’ve come to sleep in the spare bedroom tonight as I’m not sleeping next to him!

Could he be depressed OP?

DH has 2 baths a day, or sometimes 3 now he is wfh. He just really likes baths.
