DH not happy that I change clothes in the evening

Not brave enough to put this in AIBU.

I'm sick of DH telling me off for changing into "lounge wear" typically a hoodie and trackie bottoms in the evening. He says I look nice during the day when I am at work ( casual dress code) but in the evening as the kids are going to bed 8-9pm I change out of day clothes. Isn't this normal? He wants me to stay "dressed" till I go to bed (which is what he does). I want to tell him to f off.
He's just stormed out of the house because I'd dare to put a pair of joggers and a hoodie on. I've had enough of his 1950s attitude. It really upsets me.

Dp and I put joggers on as soon as when we’re home. Then I go one better and put my nightwear and dressing gown on by about 8pm.

I’d be tempted to wear wedding dress/ball gown in the evenings - which of course means no cooking or housework as you might crack your nail polish or break out into an unladylike swear.

I change into pyjamas or lounge wear as soon as I walk in the door! What a strange reaction. Is it because he finds you really attractive in your day clothes? Or he finds it lazy?

How bloody weird! Tbh I often just put my PJs on around 9pm if I want to feel more comfy - you’re a grown woman he doesn’t get to tell you how to dress!

Anytime after tea I have a shower and put my pjs on , so does my bf .
I like my comfort and I'm not going to sit in my work stuff etc

I have to admit, it feels like DH can't be bothered for me when he's scruffy at home but makes an effort for the time he spends with everyone else. I'm sure I'd be unreasonable to complain, but it would be nice if he didn't take me quite so much for granted.

This is...just fucking weird! Everyone I know puts comfy stuff on as soon as they get home. Fuck him!

I’ve got really comfy velour type top and bottoms that are nice to change into once I’ve had a shower after work. My dh calls them my ‘Karen outfit’ and he will call me Karen when I’m wearing them. I just ignore him at this point which drives him nuts.

Same here. Get in from the school run, if I'm not going out, bra off pjs on. DH has never said a word. I suffer cramps and stomach aches, so comfy is best for me.
