DH not happy that I change clothes in the evening

Not brave enough to put this in AIBU.

I'm sick of DH telling me off for changing into "lounge wear" typically a hoodie and trackie bottoms in the evening. He says I look nice during the day when I am at work ( casual dress code) but in the evening as the kids are going to bed 8-9pm I change out of day clothes. Isn't this normal? He wants me to stay "dressed" till I go to bed (which is what he does). I want to tell him to f off.
He's just stormed out of the house because I'd dare to put a pair of joggers and a hoodie on. I've had enough of his 1950s attitude. It really upsets me.

Just saw another response was added so checked back in to the thread. I just had a look at all your replies OP, and the bit about being together for 21 yrs, it being his only relationship and him claiming other women don't wear their joggers of an evening - really made me think wtf! Yes we do!!! Is he controlling in other ways? You mention tye second shower thing. Does he have a go at you about that too?! Are there other things he's controlling about and has this been going on a long time? I'd be gone if he kept on at me like that..

I work in a law firm, dress up for work and nice and comfy when I get back home. Love that moment when you kick off your shoes and the slippers come on...and who are these other women who stay in work clothes until bedtime? His mom and grandma? He is an idiot.
