DP said a very strange thing tonight ?!

DP has called by tonight to hang out for the evening with me and the kids .
When he came through the door the first thing he said was ‘ok so where are these sausage rolls to reheat ?’
Earlier today my mum who was caring for the kids whilst I worked, cooked some sausage rolls and left the remaining ones we didn’t eat in oven for me to reheat for DP and kids tonight.
There’s no way he’d have known of this as both myself , nor my mum have mentioned this to him today and he knew they were in there without being told or even looking . They hadn’t recently been cooked and place didn’t smell of them.
When I questioned him on how he knew, he just said ‘ oh, instinct I guess’ no further explanation
Is it strange he said that? I can’t quite work this out !!

Does your mum regularly make sausage rolls so knowing she'd looked after the kids he knew there was a good chance that sausage rolls were around?
I really fancy a sausage roll now!

I think I'm super naive because I never would have in a billion years thought about the possiblity of him spying on you. My DH is basically a goldfish and forgets everything as soon as he turns around, he would forget we had sausage rolls even if he had made them himself an hour earlier Is it not possible he heard it from someone and just forgot?

I've just seen somebody mention that you've previously had threads on here debating whether he's recording you or not etc? If that's the case, why not tell us that? We're all offering ideas which is pointless if you're already pretty sure he's monitoring you..

That's an awfully specific thing to ask now, isn't it? Sausage rolls. To reheat. So yes, that is a bloody strange thing for him to have said. Almost like he knew.

So yes I'd be suspecting a hidden camera/listening device. They can be very small.

I do this when I'm in a daft, playful mood... I'll walk into a room and say to DH "Ahhh, thanks for getting me my favourite chocolate bar; you're a darling. Is it in the fridge?"

I'm not expecting it, of course. But... there could be a small chance that he had bought me my favourite chocolate bar - and that would be a happy coincidence.

Possible he was doing the same?

Just say ‘no, what sausage rolls ??’, and let him expand.....
