DP said a very strange thing tonight ?!

DP has called by tonight to hang out for the evening with me and the kids .
When he came through the door the first thing he said was ‘ok so where are these sausage rolls to reheat ?’
Earlier today my mum who was caring for the kids whilst I worked, cooked some sausage rolls and left the remaining ones we didn’t eat in oven for me to reheat for DP and kids tonight.
There’s no way he’d have known of this as both myself , nor my mum have mentioned this to him today and he knew they were in there without being told or even looking . They hadn’t recently been cooked and place didn’t smell of them.
When I questioned him on how he knew, he just said ‘ oh, instinct I guess’ no further explanation Shock
Is it strange he said that? I can’t quite work this out !!

Wouldn’t he say “Mmmm something smells good” if he smelt them?

He knew they were there. Either your mum or your kids told him or he’s got a listening device and/or camera spying.

Is this the guy you thought might be gay because of the WhatsApp chat where they were sharing picture of sausages laid out like penises?
Is it the guy who installed OneDrive on your computer for some reason and linked it to two of his e-mails?

If it is, it's all very strange and I'd be concerned he was spying on you somehow.
Did you mention the sausage rolls in any text messages or WhatsApp conversations to your Mum?
Could a child have mentioned them to him?
Could he have a webcam installed somewhere?

Definitely sounds odd! Have u asked your mum whether she had text him? If she hadn't it sounds like he is somehow spying on you!

He's either smelled them, bugged the house or he's shagging your mum.

I can smell a sausage roll at 20 paces so hopefully its the first option.

If what pp said about your previous threads is true it sounds like he has been spying on you and is now feeling powerful by gaslighting you in this way. It’s sick really. Is he normally nice or creepy?

From previous posts about him, you’ve had your suspicions about him accessing your phone/his phone secrecy. At a guess, he’s put an app on your phone so he can ready your messages. Did your mum text you about them?
Creepy if this is the case.

I'm so suspicious..... I would send him home and then spend the rest of the evening trying to work out how he is monitoring your conversations. Hidden camera? Phone surveillance?

OP, did your mum send you a text about the sausage rolls after she left? Or did you text anyone else to tell them your mum had made you some?

A camera I’m not sure because even if he saw your mum baking sausage rolls he wouldn’t necessarily know there were some to reheat.

I personally think he must be accessing text messages or have some sort of listening device. Do you have an Alexa?

There are youtube videos on how to check for hidden cameras. But it sounds more like he listened, rather than saw.

Very strange.. I'm guessing one of the kids told him and he's just being suspicious to joke with you. Or if its not this then he is definitely spying on you. Hopefully the first one.

I like to play have I ever in these scenarios. I've never walked in to a house, accurately guessed there was food to be reheated, food that was spoken about when I wasn't there. So chances are neither did he. Plus if I could do that on instinct then I would play the lottery. Not snort sausage rolls.

You need to-do a test, talk about or do something really random in your kitchen and see if it comes up in conversation.

im sorry but that was a weird thing to say intinct that theyre sausage rolls in the oven-you would say something like yum whats that smell or what you been cooking smells good

There’s only a few possibilities here. Either someone text him, he has spyware on your phone (although that would rely on you having text someone about sausages rolls, or else how would he know?), or he has a spycam in you house. Do you have a ring doorbell because it’s quite easy to hack into those?

So weird but now I'm desperate to no. 🤣mainly the reason I got so drawn to this is because it's about sausage rolls. But I'd have to make up a scenario in the kitchen with DM somthing along the lines of "Ive been having an affair and don't no how to tell dp" then just leave it and see if he brings it up.
