Where do I go? My thread has gone?!!

Bit upset by the soap opera comments, but understand it probably came out wrong. I like a quiet life. I like reading. I like staying in. I like cats. I like gardening and looking at stuff in Dunelm mill. This is NOT me at all.

OP posts:
PennyBlossoms · 06/08/2012 17:07

Hi Lou, you're old thread filled up with 1000 posts. Good to see you back with a new one Smile.

usualsuspect · 06/08/2012 17:09

It's still there.

MadBusLady · 06/08/2012 17:09

Oops, I started a new one too which have now reported for deletion, ignore me/it.

oreocrumbs · 06/08/2012 17:09

Hi Lou, I just got through your last thread. Now you have started this the other posters will follow onto this thread.

I just wanted to say well done for being so pro active and a huge congratulations on your news. Of course your head must be spinning - but out of the ashes comes the pheonix.

Hope all goes well with the doctor.

chipsandmushypeas · 06/08/2012 17:10

You don't have to defend yourself, Lou. I'm sure everyone can tell this is an extreme circumstance and not very normal for you!

The other thread reached 1000 so is full, love the new thread name, short and sweet :)

bertiebassett · 06/08/2012 17:11

Lou what a roller coaster you're on. You're doing great though girl. Your family sound fantastic... The MN team will help you through this too. X

ScarletWomanoftheVillage · 06/08/2012 17:11

Hi Lou, glad you continuing as long as it helps.

sugarice · 06/08/2012 17:15

I've been a lurker until now but just wanted to comment on how brave you've been in dealing with that arse maggot of a husband. Stay strong and calm.

riamay2011 · 06/08/2012 17:16

Hi Lou I'm a lurker here! Just logged in a saw the news! Smile it's great news! I know it's a massive shock for you now but you and your baby is this start of your new life without fuckwit! U will love this baby and be a fantastic mum! You dont need men there rubbish anyway! Believe me, when you get your little bundle of joy you will be filled with this love that you have never experienced. You will forget all about him. Enjoy this precious time Wink xxx

CrikeyOHare · 06/08/2012 17:17

Hi Lou,

I read your entire thread last night with my mouth like this ----> Shock.

Take no notice of the silly soap opera comment. There's always one, right?

I'm truly in awe with the strength & dignity you've shown through all of this. Your cunt of an ex probably feels completely wrong footed by your reaction - so good for you.

I want to congratulate you on the baby, but I don't know if it's insensitive to, given how up in the air things are for you at the moment.

But, for what it's worth - I have always been a single mum to my completely wonderful DS. I was terrified when I first became pregnant, because I knew I'd be doing it all alone - but I haven't regretted him for a second. I can be done, honestly.

Sending you lots of love & luck :)

riamay2011 · 06/08/2012 17:17

P.s you will one day look back at all this and laugh and realise how much better your life is without him . You deserve sooo much better and I can promise you it does get better xxx

rachelfruitloop · 06/08/2012 17:19

Hi Lou, just wanted to say congratulations, and I am still reading and here for some virtual hand-holding. Your previous thread is here.

MrsTomHardy · 06/08/2012 17:20

Keep being strong Smile

Pickles77 · 06/08/2012 17:22

LouP19 congratulations, I'm really admiring your strength and courage.
I'm going through a lone pregnancy (notgeoff mentioned me earlier Grin)
I wish I had half the strength you have, you
Must be amazingly proud of yourself.
Stay on MN, keep us posted, I feel inspired by you Grin

Hey Lou, I just tried to post this on your other thread but it was full, so copy and pasting.

Lou, I've been lurking and I just want to commend you on your bravery. I'm in awe.

And CONGRATULATIONS on your baby!! You're going to be a wonderful mother!!!!

Also with regards to the fiscal advice you received earlier, does the fact you now have a child change anything?

If OW doesn't know he's married, or the typical 'we haven' had sex in years' she's in for a shock. Wink Can't wait for his reaction when you let him know

Again, congratulations!! I know the pain of infertility so I am so, so happy for you.

I know being a single parent is scary, but maybe it's better this way than if you'd had the baby a year ago and then this happened.

Doha · 06/08/2012 17:25

Ohh Congratulations LouP Grin
Go to work for the day and miss all the excitment.

Now go eat a bit of toast or something and get that calorie count off zero....

PissyDust · 06/08/2012 17:25

Just joining in, I have had my fingers crossed for you all the way through the last thread.

You're doing so well.

Ignore the posts that draw from your strength and let others support fill you with love.

Lotkinsgonecurly · 06/08/2012 17:27

Followed your story, really feel for you. But you are an amazing woman, remember that and you'll go far. Its a rocky road but with your great support network and own inner strength you'll get there.

AgathaFusty · 06/08/2012 17:27

Hope it all goes well at the Drs for you.

Agree with other re insensitive comment on previous thread - why do people feel the need???

Your strength of character this last week should show you that you would be perfectly capable of bringing a child up on your own.

Lotkinsgonecurly · 06/08/2012 17:28

Have to say love the thread name ! A dry sense of humour will go a long way!

CheeseandPickledOnion · 06/08/2012 17:31

I guess this would be your new thread. :)

Babylon1 · 06/08/2012 17:33

Well done for the new thread Lou, I reported the catty comment about soap operas so hopefully it will disappear.

Come back and update us when you can x

LurkingAndLearningLovesCats · 06/08/2012 17:41

Catty isn't the word I'd use! Wink Grin
