Shall I inform the school and other parents?
The person spent 4 years in jail and I don’t feel comfortable that my child Is in one classroom as the convict’s son.
I know school probably just cares about their money but isn’t it a bad look for them to have a convict within their community?

Why is it a child's fault? Do you think your sprog will be influenced by the actions of an innocent child's parent?!

lovingsummerdays · 25/01/2026 02:59

I do hope you are not being serious.

ODFOD. Imagine paying to avoid the plebs, only to discover the spawn of Satan in DC's home room!

Scissor · 25/01/2026 03:10

Oh you are funny!

I remember Cynthia Payne who ran her brothel to pay her son's boarding school fees. Great film about her starring Julie Walters.

I think it was fraud she was convicted of, taking luncheon vouchers for services rendered.

The son was completely innocent of any crime, as will this child be.

But the child isn't a criminal

WeirdyBeardyMarrowBabyLady · 25/01/2026 03:13

If you’re serious then you’re naive. Serious criminals adopt the trappings of wealth as soon as they can and that often involves paying for their children to go to private school. You can report and action may be taken depending on the backbone of the head but rest assured there will be others - you just don’t know about them.

You have got to be joking? You are being ridiculous. Maybe you could petition to the other parents and teachers to get the boy sent to the workhouse.

PollyBell · 25/01/2026 03:22

Maybe all the parents can get together and stand at the school gates with pitchforks wearing Traitor masks? Or stick and ad in the local paper in the gossip section

Why not?

My dad was a criminal as a young adult. He turned his life around, became extremely successful and sent us to private schools. Should we have been allowed?

It's great that you're paying for your child to receive the kind of education you clearly never had though.

If you have an issue, you can change your child's school instead to somewhere more snobby and suitable. Problem solved. This way they can be amongst the children of politicians, lawyers and hedge fund stock brokers who are above the law. Problem solved.

Tablesandchairs23 · 25/01/2026 03:40

The child isn't a criminal. Im sure lots of kids in private school have parents on the wrong side of the law. Mind your own business.

wineosaurusrex · 25/01/2026 03:40

No way are you serious, nobody can be this much of an awful person as to try to publicly shame a child and get them kicked out of school for the behaviour of their parent. 😂

batsh1ttery · 25/01/2026 03:43

You are batshit. How dare you judge a child by what their parent has done? Up on your big high horse did you even pause to think about the impact on the kid?
“Criminals shouldn’t be allowed in private schools“
the kids aren’t criminals, regardless of what their parents have done. They attend, not their parents.
This reminds me of a lovely little boy in DD’s primary school. His dad was revealed as a long standing paedophile. A large group of school mums took to FB to denigrate this poor, very young little boy. He was such a lovely boy so I went into reception to report what had been posted and asked them
to full on safeguard him immediately…. You will get nowhere with this until there is a serious concern.
The convict isn’t the one teaching, would you seriously escalate this and let the poor child down? That says a lot more about you than anything else

merrymelody · 25/01/2026 03:56

Not all the white collar criminals sending their offspring to private schools. 😂

TooBigForMyBoots · 25/01/2026 04:00

Not today Satan! Not today - LOL!! It sounds like OP needs private home schooling to keep that glass house from having rocks thrown at it.

That’s sad I’m glad you stuck up for the little chap.
Life will be difficult enough for him without the wrath of school bitches.
