boodle sorry youre struggling hon.. maybe you need some tlc or a day spa (lee's solution to life problems) - re the eating, i hear you! i seriously need to sort it out. but i reckon its getting to the time in the pregnancy (not as sick or tired) and the time of the year (longer nights) where i could get out walking which might offset some of it!

sarah / emmie re telling dc, our dd announced to us, even though we hadnt told her anything that she was getting a baby sister. im not sure if she overheard anything though I think she's too young or whether someone in the nursery got a baby sister but she talks about it constantly.. where the baby will sleep, what we'll do when it cries etc. really quite cute. she seems to take it all unquestioningly. That said she's not even three so I guess if she was older I would have wanted to wait longer to tell her! whats everyone else doing?

We are off to Dublin this weekend as we are interring my Nanna's ashes. Seems so sad to go there when she won't be sitting in the kitchen with the tea on the boil :-( and considering my emotional state of hormones at the minute I might be a bit of a mess.. BUT onwards and upwards, have a lovely weekend everyone xxx

morning all

feeling abit crap again this morning but then can't wear badns as three quarter sleeves at work and its abit of a giveaway, still not as nauseous as tuesday (thank god) and nibbling my way through snacks most of the time as eating kind of helps although has to be quite mild flavour. Hate brushing my teeth though!!

boo hang in there hon, am dreading for when the heartburn starts - was chronic with DS and I get it even when not pregnant so have to be really careful with diet to manage - thats the best way I have found not to be crippled by it - certain things are like pouring gasoline on a fire (raw onions, white bread, apples in the evening, fried food) so try and see what sets it off and avoid. Crap about your colleague at work being off.

lee hope the weekend goes ok, looking at your FB pics she seemed like a 'game old bird' who was full of life so I can imagine it must be hard. But I bet she had a good life and a long one and would want you to remember her with smiles

sarah our DS is only 2.8 but he told me the other day he has a baby in his tummy like mummy! I suggested that I thought this was improbable but he is quite insistant. He tells me that the baby in mummys tummy is his brother so he has obviously heard us talking

Hope you are feeling better today freezing tfls where you at lady?

Popped into old thread, its unrecognisable! But Viv, Jolls and Mrs G and Barren still seem to be hanging in there - not see anything from Zayja for a while though.

xxxxx

amyboo · 19/03/2010 09:54

lee - I already checked with the gynae and he said I wouldn't be able to hold the baby myself, as I would have a drip in etc... I'm going to check about the shaving thing on Tuesday at my next appointment with the gynae. I've heard that they prefer to do it themselves here, but I'm hoping not, as I'd rather DH did it with his Mach 3 than a nurse doing it with a cheapy bic!

Hope everyone else is doing well. I was hoping to hear news of hoops by now. Hope she's OK...

LeeWT · 19/03/2010 10:14

cheepz she really was just that a game old bird and such good company and craic I'm glad that's how other people see her too even from photos as I'd hate anyone thinking of her as a frail old dear.. Thanks for your kind words..

Wouldn't it be interestig if Ted and Ella have psychically predicted the sex of the babies or I wonder do they just imagine the baby to be the same sex as themselves?

boodle I'm on the prescription gaviscon too bt as cheepz says there's definate things (that I love) that set it off like real butter, fried food, crisps etc. It's def worse already on this one than with Ella .. Hope u ok..

Amy a tesco razor was the thing they weilded at me if I were you I'd just have it done so there is clearly no need!! Also on the day don't ve afraid to push whoever your surgeon or nurse is to hold him.. The drip really doesn't affect it and they close u up v quick so either way you'll be holding that gorgous boy in no time!

Hello all
Managed to find the new thread after a bit of searching
thanks to all your kind messages (sorry have now lost the old thread so can't quite remember who), sickness seems to have come back today so feeling happier about it all. I'm trying those bands but not sure how effective they really are.
My scan is on April 8th so got a few more weeks to wait.

Lee hope the weekend goes okay and is not too upsetting

boodleboot · 20/03/2010 19:41

well i think i am cheering up a little bit now.....got into a bit of a slump after losing my moomin six weeks ago. DH took pity on me and gave in to the fact that we really are a three cat family and we went to see a little kitten tonight to put a deposit on her. Collect next week....she is adorable bundle of black and white fluff and we are calling her Humbug.

Physically i have noticed that when i eat a healthy day of food i have NO sickness but as soon as i have something sugary or fatty i immediately am set off for the rest of the day feeling sick where more and more food do not take the taste away. Going to try and eat a bit more consistently healthy next week....but tonight i just HAVE to have chocolate angel delight....

15wks monday and i am telling you i felt what was quite unequivocably a kick in the abdomen at lunchtime....

hope you are all doing ok....well done for starting the new thread Lee

randomimposter · 20/03/2010 20:19

Just popping in to say hi - have been lurking when I've had the chance, and am so pleased all seems well on the thread. (Of course there is paranoia and worries and niggles etc etc, but in real terms all is good!).

Special wave to tfls who if I've remembered correctly has a scan on Monday? Will be thinking of you x.

boodle great news on the feline addition.... drive me mad though my 5 do, I wouldn't be without them... well maybe one or 2. Actually 3 is a great number... wish we'd stopped there .

Off to drink vino and munch on G&B xx

Sarahlou8 · 20/03/2010 20:55

Evening all,

Sickness back tonight with a vengeance despite getting on really well with the sea bands for the last couple of days - and yet another spotting episode yesterday. When it first happened I had such a rush of adrenaline my heart would race but now I just think 'oh, here we go again..'
Midwife is coming in the morning so hopefully I'll feel better after a chat with her.

boodle may you continue to get jabbed in the tummy! That's wonderful! I felt both of mine around the 14 week mark despite everyone saying it was too early. By 15 weeks I felt them all the time, it's lovely - and very reassuring.
I have two bundles of fun, brother and sister (cats, that is) they are 3, and incredibly naughty. They were RSPCA rescue cats and the day we went to see them when they were 5 months old, was wonderful - so cute!

Hi to everyone else, sorry I haven't namechecked you all even though I'm managing to pop in daily now.

No news from Hoops yet? I haven't checked the old thread.

We got the house, by the way!

louisesh · 21/03/2010 11:02

Congrats SARAHLOU on your new house.I m too a cat lover we ve got 2 , i girl , 1 boy both coming up to 10 years old ant they re my "babies"....i love them to bits.

I m ok just tired.tired,tired.....

Hi to all.Good luck tomorrow TFLS

randomimposter · 22/03/2010 08:53

just popped in to say tfls (who's been unusually quiet) good luck for today x

quick wave to everyone else... off to play on the beach (with several layers on obviously )

thefatladyscreams · 22/03/2010 09:43

Thanks for all the good luck wishes. Feeling as sick as a dog with nerves. Scan isn't til 1.20pm so time is standing still today......

Have fun on that beach Jollster - nice image to take into the hospital with me.

Congrats on the house Sarahlou and the kitten sounds fantastic boodle.

Hope Hoops is doing OK.

Will post properly later.

Freezingmyarseoff · 22/03/2010 10:14

Good luck TFLS for this afternoon.

Congrats, Sarahlou, on the house, sounds really exciting. Hope the sale goes smoothly.

The kitten sounds so cute, boodle. We want to get a pet soon but DH & I are still arguing discussing whether it will be a cat or a dog. Think we might wait a bit until things are settled down on the DC front.
And the healthy eating thing makes complete sense. My sickness was really bad last week, coinciding with me raiding the crisps aisle of sainsbury's.

Cheepz · 22/03/2010 12:09

thinking of you tfls xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

boodleboot · 22/03/2010 15:10

just popped in for some news on TFLS....will check again later.

lots of love and prayers to her { and you all too...}

thefatladyscreams · 22/03/2010 15:36

All fine - phewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww. Saw the heartbeat, got a wave and everything seemed great. I couldn't look at the screen at first as was so convinced that I would get the sympathetic but its bad news voice from the sonographer. Nuchal measurement was 1.4 (you're allowed up to 3.5) so that was really good news as apparently the lower the better. She dated me as 6 days further along at 13 4.

Had lunch with DH afterwards - was lovely.

Thanks everyone for all the support. Going to sink into a pile of nervous relief now!

Meita · 22/03/2010 16:19

TFLS Wooohooo! So happy for you!

Excellent news... big smile on my face!

Freezingmyarseoff · 22/03/2010 16:29

Brilliant TFLS, really happy to hear your news. Enjoy the relief!

emmielou81 · 22/03/2010 16:40

Congratulations TFLS!! So very pleased for you Put your feet up, relax and enjoy the feeling of all that weight coming off your shoulders

Hope everyone else is doing well

boodleboot · 22/03/2010 17:16

that is fantabulous news....very very very very happy to hear that.

becky78 · 22/03/2010 17:33

Just popping in to say hi.

TFLS - great news on your scan, it is such a relief isn't it?

Hoops what news? checking in everyday so make sure our next thread baby is all ok.

Hope everyone else is doing well, if decidedly sickly

I am doing well but totally knackered and can't wait to give up work - my brain has officially turned to mush and I keep forgetting stuff and doing really random things - slightly concerning as the baby hasn't even arrived yet so presumably it is only going to get worse!! )

Is it normal that I am totally paranoid about packing a hospital bag or buying much in the way of baby stuff? Midwife at antenatal class today was surprised we didn't all have our bags packed already but with 7 weeks to go it still feels like tempting fate by assuming everything will be fine.

Depsite mushy brain I have attempted to update the list to put some more of my details on. I've just added three days to everyone's stats based on amy's list from Friday. Also updated TFLS's due date based on scan result. Apologies if I've screwed up anyone's details, seemed to be struggling to work out adding three days when there is only 7 in a week
