Hi all,

as the title suggests, I am
5 weeks and do not have any symptoms. Not even sore boobs. Is this normal? x

I didn't have any symptoms at that point either. Morning sickness came at about 7 weeks, and I never got sore boobs. Currently 33 weeks

X

Thank you so much for your reply, feels good having some reassurance! x

Could barely move with sore boobs with first pregnancy, no sore boobs in second pregnancy at all.

Pregnancy symptoms often change day to day as well, I would have a day or so with no nausea and panic.

As hard as it is, you need to try and not obsess over it. If you feel you’re becoming anxious, please speak to your midwife once you’ve had booking or speak to your GP if you’re not yet under midwifery.

Totally totally normal

Hopeful588 · 16/07/2025 12:16

Thank you @yogpot @Everythingisokay xx

the only symptom I experienced was a growing bump and feeling a baby kick. Oh and stretch marks. Boobs never grew or got sore and didn get sick. You might never feel anything so please try not to worry although know it's hard. You could book in for a private scan at 7-8 weeks if it helps?

Hopeful588 · 16/07/2025 12:29

@Nearlyamumoftwo, thank you so much for replying. It’s reassuring to read these. I think I will book in for an early scan, I’m such an overthinker! And googling/reading forums sometimes does more harm! Thank you xxx

Cotswoldmama · 16/07/2025 20:41

Hopeful588 · 16/07/2025 20:43

Same - boobs so painful with baby number one, but not at all for babies two and three. Vomiting kicked in at around the six week mark for me with all three pregnancies though, and it was prolific, so I’d enjoy all the nice food you usually like this week just in case!

Nearlyamumoftwo · 16/07/2025 21:06

@Ivf4203yes I was very lucky and also very surprised! @Hopeful588not all women have symptoms or feel sick and whilst it's nice not to feel ill(!) I know from experience it's worrying. Do consider booking in for a scan, but I would do this nearer to 8 weeks to make sure a heartbeat can definitely be picked up (some people will do this 6-7 week and a HB can't always be picked up as too early which is worrying)

GiraffesAtThePark · 17/07/2025 03:47

I had no sore breasts or other symptoms. Just about a week at 7 weeks or so where I felt sick.

Be careful with an early reassurance scan, you don’t want to go too early as then you could end up panicked as they couldn’t confirm it and ask you to come in a few weeks later.

Everlore · 17/07/2025 04:23

Aside from chronic constipation I had pretty much no pregnancy symptoms at any stage of pregnancy. I had had scans so I knew baby was developping well but I honestly couldn't really believe I was actually pregnant until I began to feel movements at about 22 weeks. I had an anterior placenta so felt movement later though once she started wriggling she never stopped! I also didn't have a visible bump until I was about 32 weeks along and, even then, it was very modest. Right up until the end of pregnancy it would have been hard to see my bump unless you looked closely, which I found odd since I am quite slim so I assumed it would be more obvious. I must admit the lack of symptoms worried me too but I had a very straightforward uncomplicated pregnancy and delivery and our perfect baby girl was born at a healthy weight and is now a delightful, active and inquisitive six-month old. Wishing you all the best.

I am in a similar boat - 5w 5days and basically no symptoms. I had some a few days ago but nothing since and it’s really worrying me. I only had an mc in May and got pregnant after one cycle, so the worry is real. I’ve got a scan at my local EPU on Tuesday, praying a baby actually grows this time x

teaandtoastwithmarmite · 19/07/2025 11:30

I didn’t have any either which was weird as I was trying for years and always symptom spotting then once I got pregnant I didn’t believe it! All I had was nausea and sensitive sense of smell

BabyBorn · 19/07/2025 14:35

Hey @Hopeful588i am also 5 weeks 6 days and no real symptoms either. I am bloated and that’s about it! How are you feeling today?

Hopeful588 · 19/07/2025 23:03

Hi @BabyBorn ah we are similar. I’m feeling okay! A little bloated and a little more tired than usual but that’s it! How about yourself?

OP posts:
Temporaryname158 · 19/07/2025 23:05

Nope nothing like that here until maybe 20 weeks, where they become painful in a sports bra but not in an ordinary one.

i never had any morning sickness at all either. Some people just don’t have many symptoms

BabyBorn · 20/07/2025 06:26

@Hopeful588exactly the same actually. More tired and bloated! That’s it! How are you today? I’ve just slept for 9 hours!

Hopeful588 · 21/07/2025 17:48

Hey @BabyBorn I’m okay thanks, how are you feeling?

wecandothis2025 · 21/07/2025 18:02

Sorry, wrong post!

BabyBorn · 21/07/2025 19:58

Hey@Hopeful588I am good thanks. I felt sick earlier today but not sure if that was because my trousers were too tight!! lol. I fall asleep early most night and have had a few afternoon naps here and there! Some days I feel very fatigued. That’s all. I am around 6 weeks yesterday/today. Have you any other symptoms at all?
