5 weeks and no symptoms - not even sore boobs

Hi all,

as the title suggests, I am
5 weeks and do not have any symptoms. Not even sore boobs. Is this normal? x

@BabyBorn and @LilacHearts i have a private scan today, and I’m feeling so anxious. My boobs are still very sore and been fatigued but don’t feel sick at all. I know all I have to do is wait, it’s at 7.15pm this evening but just having a mini freak out. Just need to get through it! I’m between 9 and 10 weeks, and partly feeling so positive but also just so scared!

I had no symptoms whatsoever in either of my pregnancies. Not one. I didn’t even get a bump until I was over half way through!

I can’t believe I’m 16 weeks today and feeling so much more movement too ☺️ I really want to book another private scan but it’s only 4ish weeks until my 20 week scan.

@BabyBorn yes further along again! Can’t believe it! I thought I’d be 10 weeks 1 day (after my last scan said I was 1 week ahead), but she said I’m more like 10 weeks 5 days! Can’t believe it! Maybe I need to cut down on the cakes? Hahaha! Thank you for your support lovely! 🩷 how are you feeling?

Aawwww I am so pleased for you! @GoldIvyThat’s brilliant news! I had a good feeling it would all go well. So glad it did. There’s nothing like anxiety after a loss. I find the scans so so triggering. Have your symptoms stayed steady then? Mine and up and down but it’s mainly fatigue and nausea that are the most frequent symptoms. I don’t feel half as bad as I did with my other pregnancies though so hoping it stays that way!!

Wanted to wait until I had my last minute scan today to message back as wanted to make sure everything was ok before I did! We could see the baby moving around like mad and I’m measuring 9weeks 4 days as expected!! My husband came with me as I didn’t invite him to the EPU one and private one two weeks ago as I was so anxious I just needed to deal with it on my own!! 🥴🥴I’ve booked a private NIPT test and scan for two weeks time so hopefully that will be good news too! Have you booked any more or are you waiting for your 12 week scan? I haven’t been given a date for mine yet. Hoping it will arrive before Saturday.

I find this reassuring. I will be 6 weeks tomorrow. At first I had terrible acid reflux and night sweats which is what made me test in the first place.

All my symptoms then disappeared and I panicked - I am especially paranoid as I had a very early loss a few years ago and this is my first pregnancy since.

I've had mild cramps/twinges on an off the whole time and as of today I also have lower back ache. I still have 2 weeks until the early viability scan I have booked. Has anyone else experienced this?

@BlondeAutumnGirl hello lovely! I remember my symptoms being very minimal and a bit crampy too. This waiting period is so hard, especially when you’ve been through loss, but I think it sounds normal what you’re feeling at the moment. I think it’s normal to feel very minimal symptoms so early on and they fluctuate quite a bit too I found.

Before you know it, the scan will be here, and in the meantime I found distraction quite good…watching trashy tv, playing games on my phone, keeping active, and before you know it 2 weeks will have flown by!

@BabyBorn awww so happy to hear this for you too! Totally hear you on the scans being triggering, my anxiety was through the roof before the scan yesterday! so happy for you lovely!!

My symptoms are not too bad, just very sore boobs and fatigue although the tiredness is getting better now.

I’m going to wait to 12 week scan now, although can’t come around quick enough! Haha. That’s great you have another scan booked in, I think putting your mind at ease is the best thing we can do for ourselves! hope you get your next scan date in soon!

Hey @GoldIvyim only actually having another scan in two weeks because im having the NIPT done. 🥴 I’m so nervous for it too. I didn’t have it in my other pregnant over 3 years ago. Not sure if I knew about it then! Now I am 40, I feel more cautious.

Glad your symptoms aren’t too bad for you! I had terrible nausea from morning until night yesterday. It’s horrible. I barely fever feel any boob pain! My sense have smell has heightened too and I can’t bare the smell of my dogs at the minute! 🤮 😂😂

Wont be long until your 12 week scan will it!! Time seems to go slow some weeks and fly others! I’m going to keep a check on my maternity App for my 12 week scan as apparently it will appear on my App before i receive the letter!! Have you got a date for your yet?

@BabyBorn How are you doing? I have my 12 week scan tomorrow morning and can't wait, as although last week's scan was reassuring, I have started to worry again! I was having these little flutters where I imagine my uterus is, and although they say it's too early to feel baby moving I did feel like it was them, but haven't felt them now in days. I'm sure everything is fine, but I honestly think having the mmc earlier this year has just made me worry more this pregnancy!

Hi @GoldIvy how are you? I'm ok thanks. I have my first Midwife appointment this afternoon which I'n a little nervous about. Have reached the stage where I feel bloated and ugly, gross and weepy and I'm only 7 weeks!

In the old days before early testing most women didn’t even realise they were pregnant at 5 weeks. So try not to worry!

Oh my gosh! That time went quickly, how exciting!

I lost all my symptoms for 6 days last week and I was so so nervous and worried something was wrong, sooooo I went for another scan to check!! 🙈🙈😀😂 All was good and I was measuring 10weeks and 5 days. The scan was on Monday. We saw the baby bouncing up and down and kicking its legs around. I cried 🥲

Oh really! That’s amazing if you can feel movement! I’m sure I felt movement with my last daughter at around 13 weeks so it is very possible! You won’t feel movement every day until many weeks to come yet. Think it’s around 20 weeks plus but can’t remember exactly now. It’s so understandable that we’ve been feeling very nervous and worried but hopefully soon we can relax and be more confident. When we start to feel them regularly kicking around I am sure we will start to enjoy our pregnancies much more. Will you be finding out the sex of your baby? I think we are going to keep this as our first and last surprise!! I have another scan and NIPT test next week, I could find out via the NIPT test but we are not going to! Xx

I am good thanks. Got my NIPT on Monday. Nervous! Have a scan too on the same day.
