Hi all,

as the title suggests, I am
5 weeks and do not have any symptoms. Not even sore boobs. Is this normal? x

Hi@Hopeful588Im waiting now. I should go in in 10 minutes. When I was booking in at reception I started bleeding quite a bit of blood! Had to go to the loo to sort it out. This is not good at all. Hope you are ok!

Hopeful588 · 25/07/2025 09:15

Fingers crossed for you, let us know how you get on xxx

Will do x

Hopeful588 · 25/07/2025 10:12

Hey @BabyBorn how did it go? X

BabyBorn · 25/07/2025 11:18

Hey! Didn’t go well. Sac was seen and looked she said either my dates are out and it’s too early or the pregnancy has stopped progressing. 😩 I’ve had my HCG levels taken this morning and going again on Sunday. Nurse will ring me with my levels later. My bleeding has really ramped up now and is clotty. Not the best news but at least my body seems to be doing it myself now and I don’t have to go in for surgical management for the moment. I always trust my gut. I just knew something was amiss. Hope you are ok and this doesn’t mean there is anything wrong with your pregnancy! X

Hopeful588 · 25/07/2025 11:20

@BabyBorn im so sorry. How do they know it’s stopped progressing? What were your dates? An what should you be?
I hope you are okay xxx

OP posts:
BabyBorn · 25/07/2025 11:26

By my dates I was supposed to be 6 weeks and 4 days today. Usually you can’t see a fetus on a scan before 6 weeks, that’s why they don’t scan you unless you are 6 weeks plus. They didn’t really say. It was all quick and vague. They want to check my HCG in case of an ectopic but they said it’s only to rule it out but there doesn’t seem to be evidence of an ectopic. I’ve had one in the past so they are always cautious about it happening again. I think it all just stopped growing and progressing a week or more ago. My symptoms just stopped. X

BabyBorn · 25/07/2025 11:27

My tests from yesterday are still pretty dark! Going to do one now and see!

Hopeful588 · 25/07/2025 12:06

@BabyBorn hopefully all is not lost? I really hope a positive outcome for you xx

OP posts:
BabyBorn · 25/07/2025 12:16

I don’t think there is a positive outcome here! I will keep trying though! Xx

LilacHearts · 26/07/2025 09:23

@BabyBorn I am so very sorry to hear that you’re going through this. The losses never get any easier. Sending you the biggest hug and hoping that the whole process is over as quickly as possible for you. Your body is capable of getting pregnant and carrying a baby to term, remember that and don’t lose hope for the future xx

CocoPlum · 26/07/2025 09:28

Be careful what you wish for as I had no symptoms at 5 weeks and wanted something, only for it to kick in within a week and continue being sick regularly until 5 months (with the occasional throwing up until about 8 months).

BabyBorn · 26/07/2025 11:53

Thanks so much @LilacHeartsits been a total nightmare the last 12 months. I am going to work on my egg quality given my age and have started taking 400mg of Ubiquinol a day since yesterday. If it’s meant to be it will be. Hope everyone else is ok and pregnancy symptoms have started ramping up a little for you! X

Yes this is a great idea and something that I did too. I’ve seen a prenatal supplement floating around called Naitre - it’s expensive but it has rave reviews, I never got around to ordering any.

I also recommend taking folate (metafolin) instead of folic acid. Folate is purer and easily absorbed by the body, folic acid has to be turned into folate during a process in the body. I use the Solgar one and I swear it’s one of the reasons I got pregnant so soon.

I also recommend taking a magnesium supplement at night to help with sleep and stress levels.

Wishing you all the best and I hope you’re able to conceive again soon! Xx

BabyBorn · 26/07/2025 17:16

Hi @LilacHeartsi take Solgar Ubiquinol, 800mcg (double dose) of Methylfolate which is the purer version of folic acid that you’ve mentioned. Vitamin D3 and vitamin E to help with stress and an antioxidant oh and Omega 3, only just added these in yesterday. I was only taking the omega 3, vitamin d3 and 400mcg of Methylfolate before. Hopefully we will both have some luck. Magnesium is definitely a good one but think I will rattle if I take anymore 😂😂 I hope you get lucky this month too and keep us updated with your journey! Xx

@LilacHearts & @Hopeful588 Sorry to hijack this thread and bring it back up, but would love to know how things are progressing for you both?

I am 39 years old, and had a missed miscarriage in beginning of June, I found out at the 12 week scan which was pretty tough, however I just found out I am pregnant again (I should be 5 weeks on Sunday), I am currently feeling very grateful! I found this thread as I too barely have any symptoms currently, no sore boobs etc, whereas my last pregnancy I had very sore boobs at this point. Reading everyone's comments here have been very reassuring, thank you all!

@BabyBorn I am so so sorry to read your experience, sending so much love, I know how hard it is to hear those words. Wishing you all the best for your next pregnancy whenever you are feeling ready to try again!

Considering what I went through earlier this year, I am doing my best not to overthink...or look up anything too much (this is the first time i've googled since finding out I'm pregnant last Friday, which I am pretty proud of as it was daily last time haha, trying not to let it consume me this time!) and currently feeling quite relaxed about it, but would love to hear how you're getting on.

Any updates would be wonderful, however, totally respect if people would prefer not to! xxx

BabyBorn · 29/08/2025 13:09

Hi @GoldIvyCongratulations!! I bet you are over the moon but understandably worried.

After my MC last month I am pregnant again! I am 5 weeks tomorrow!! I have also been worrying about lack of symptoms but I do have a few! My tests are darker than last month too. I really hope these stick for both of us! I was 40 in March so this was our last go! Would be nice to keep in touch! x

GoldIvy · 29/08/2025 14:00

@BabyBorn that is wonderful news!!! Congratulations to you too!

Yes would be great to stay in touch! So happy for you :)

Great to hear you have some symptoms as I know how reassuring that can be, my boobs have started to hurt the tiniest amount and getting low level cramps like last time, plus I'm running pretty hot haha soh hoping they're all good signs at the moment. I took one test last Friday and one yesterday (last time I took 7 tests haha!) which was nice and dark. I'm trying to stay as chill as possible, because last time I did everything 'right' and it still happened, so just trying to trust the process this time and stay positive.

Lovely to connect on here!

BabyBorn · 29/08/2025 14:30

Hi @GoldIvyi have the slightest boob tingles too and I mean slight. I am needing to wee a lot and I am so bloated. Started with slight crampy pains this morning but they have disappeared now. I am continuing with my clean eating and supplements and seeing what happens. Trying not to think about it but it just consumes you doesn’t it! Do you have any other children? You are doing well with testing! I sometimes test twice a day! 🥴 my HCG seems to be higher in the early evening! X

GoldIvy · 29/08/2025 14:51

It totally does! I will definitely be having an early scan this time to rest my mind a bit ha!

I don't have any other children, this is my first time trying this year, as never found the right man until last year! He's a gem though so worth the wait (met a lot of wrong ones before haha!). I saw you have 3 children on a previous post on this thread, is that right? Bet that's a chaotically wonderful!

Yes good plan on the supplements, I have been taking ones from Wild Nutrition for pregnancy which seem good, but you've just reminded me that I haven't taken my Omega 3 today so will do that now! I also did acupuncture for the last 7 weeks or so and think I might continue in my first trimester...who knows if it helps, but if anything it's an hours' worth of relaxing :)

BabyBorn · 29/08/2025 20:16

Will you. If it reduces your anxiety then why not! I’ve had a previous ectopic so I can self refer for a scan at 6 weeks. I am always so so nervous with all the bad luck I’ve been having. Hopefully it will be different this time.

That’s lovely that you have finally met the one! Exciting! Yes I have 3. 20, 13 and 3! Crazy. I don’t even feel old enough to have my 20 year old. She’s at Uni so away from home at the moment. My middle daughter is quite easy too. My 3 year old is a little rascal! Like me when I was a little girl!! 🤣

That is actually crazy as I’ve started on the Wild Nutrition pregnancy tablets a few days ago!! I also had my second session of acupuncture on Wednesday too! X

BabyBorn · 30/08/2025 08:00

Morning @GoldIvyi got my 3+ weeks on a clear blue this morning which is so encouraging! I was getting 2-3 on Thursday! I was shaking with the test when telling my husband! My symptoms are so mild it’s been strange. I’m wondering if it’s my clean eating balancing out my hormones?! I do reflexology every two weeks, yoga weekly and acupuncture as I’ve mentioned. Maybe a combination of these things are making me feel so good. Usually I’m doubled up feeling nauseous. Maybe I’ve still got time yet! 🥴😂😂

Hope you are feeling good this morning! x

GoldIvy · 30/08/2025 08:27

@BabyBorn that’s so funny about Wild Nutrition and acupuncture! Ooo love the sound of reflexology too!

Aww lots of lovely children, sounds beautiful! Uni, wow, bet that felt strange seeing her go off there! Hope it’s going well 😊

That sounds really promising on the test, I didn’t even know those tests existed. Yes it could well be the healthy lifestyle and also that every pregnancy is so different (I hear!). I completely understand your worries too though, especially after what you’ve been through. I feel them too, but I keep telling myself that no amount of worrying will change anything (I worried a lot in those last few weeks of my last pregnancy), which i know is easier said than done. I think all we can do is stay healthy, with some deep self care and get on with life until we know for sure. I’m usually the biggest over thinker so using this as a time to try and combat that a bit, and accept that we almost have no control. (Don’t get me wrong, I’m desperate to know everything is ok haha!)

After my MMC weirdly in the following two cycles I had no sore boobs (usually that’s my first symptom of PMS) so I was seeing it that my body was still trying to catch up with hormones, and had read other people had the same thing (as in, no sore boobs) after miscarriage, which I also found reassuring. My boobs are starting to hurt a smidge more, and definitely more tired but nothing other than that.

Let’s hope we both get enough symptoms that we feel much more pregnant, but no so much we can’t do anything haha! Xx

@BabyBorn @GoldIvy
Sorry for the late reply ladies - yesterday was a bit of a crazy day!

I am now 11+3 and I’ve had 3 scans in my local EPU and I had a private one last Sunday after having what I’m sure was Covid the week before. Everything looked perfect and saw baby having a good wiggle in there. I had my booking appt on Thursday and nuchal scan is on 10th Sept when I’ll be 13+1. My anxiety has been pretty horrific, so I’ve been referred to the Mental Health midwives - I highly recommend doing this if you’re struggling with anxiety. Pregnancy after loss is so damn hard and you question every single little niggle or none niggle.

My symptoms have really varied, I’ve had days where I’ve not felt pregnant at all and then I’ve had days where I’ve thought I’d throw up on someone 😂 my boobs stopped hurting at around 10 weeks and I was convinced it was an MMC but everything was fine. I remember at 5-6 weeks I felt hardly any symptoms at all, just a bit tired but from 6-7 weeks the symptoms really started to ramp up!

Congratulations to both of you! What incredible news - @BabyBorn you must be completely over the moon! I’ve read a lot of research and apparently conceiving within the first 3 months after a miscarriage can reduce the risk of another loss quite significantly.

Sending lots of love, light and positivity for happy, healthy pregnancies for you both 🙏
