Hi all,

as the title suggests, I am
5 weeks and do not have any symptoms. Not even sore boobs. Is this normal? x

Hiya @GoldIvy ! Hope you are feeling well. It went very well thank you! I also had the NIPT done too. Are you having the NIPT done? Can’t remember if you said you were! Baby was measuring 11 weeks 5 days. I’ve got my 12 week scan next Wednesday!

Have you felt any more flutters? The sonographer told me my placenta was at the front this time, so if I don’t feel as early then that’s why! Did they tell you if yours was front or back? Xx

GoldIvy · 14/10/2025 18:25

Aww so happy for you @BabyBorn !

Yes got my NIPT done too. They didn’t mention anything about my placenta, I have felt a couple of flutters but not much, think I had some ligament pulling the other day.

As my next scan isn’t for 8 weeks, I’m now telling myself that I need to trust my body until that point 🙂 feeling good, still a bit tired and had masses of cravings for cheddar cheese last week and had cheese on toast three days in a row haha!

how have you been feeling lovely? Bet you feel great after seeing your little baby 😍

BlondeAutumnGirl · 15/10/2025 20:39

Hi all. Finally had my early scan today and everything is fine! I can't tell you how relieved I am! Measuring 7 weeks, 6 days which is a day less than I thought but still due 27th May. Amazing to clap eyes on the little bugger that's been causing me so much worry!

So happy for you @BlondeAutumnGirl you must feel so relieved! 🩷 so lovely to see them on the scan isn’t it!

BlondeAutumnGirl · 16/10/2025 07:37

Amazing :) thanks so much. 32 weeks to go!

GoldIvy · 27/10/2025 10:00

@BabyBorn How are you? How did your 12 week scan go lovely? Hope you're doing well!

@BlondeAutumnGirl How are you doing too? Hope you're feeling good!

I am now 14 weeks, but have started to worry I can't feel flutters (gosh the worry never ends haha!) - I've read so many people that say they didn't feel anything until 16 weeks or after, but I still don't feel re-assured as sure I felt them around 10 weeks but haven't felt them since.

I am also not getting lots of ligament pain or anything, maybe a tiny bit here and there, but overall apart from very sore boobs still (and very veiny boobs ha!), I feel pretty normal! I have a a bit of a chubby tummy, so also hard to tell if I have a bump yet. It does feel quite hard just above my pubic bone but still worrying...some days I feel worry free, and just since yesterday I've gone back into worry mode...haha, it is certainly a rollercoaster.

Would love to hear how you are both getting on, and hope you're both really well xx

Hello! I'm mostly fine - I think! My sore boobs have gone, night sweats have subsided a little (although my partner says I feel like a furnace at night) and I still have no sickness. I have my 12 week scan on 17th November and until then I have no idea if all is well. I suffer from awful bloat a lot of the time and because I am quite a chubby girl it makes me look very pregnant even though I'm not quite 10 weeks. It's terrible worry all the bloody time.

I have a week off work now which I'm very happy about! Thanks for checking in 😍

BabyBorn · 28/10/2025 19:20

Hello ladies,

hey @GoldIvy i am sure all is good. Were you told where your placenta is? The most recent private scan I had the sonographer said I had an anterior placenta so it’s at the front and baby movements may be cushioned for a while!!! Saying that, I’m almost certain I felt some movement on Sunday twice! Nothing since. My last baby I felt flutters at 13 weeks but can’t remember where my placenta was at the time! Your placenta might be anterior too! If they haven’t told you yet then ask at your 20 week scan.

My 12 week scan went well thanks. The sonographer was a man and he was so lovely and patient and took his time and I didn’t feel rushed. It took ages which was nice to see baby a little longer. My NIPT came back good too.

How are you feeling today?

We came out to Tenerife on Sunday and the weather is lovely. Xx

VAmum · 29/10/2025 02:51

I didn't have any symptoms at all in my first pregnancy, and no morning sickness. But on my second and third, I struggled with acid reflux which started at the early stage. Every pregnancy is different though, so don't worry too much if you don't have symptoms this early on 😊

GoldIvy · 06/11/2025 07:32

@BabyBorn hope Tenerife was a lovely holiday!!!

I’m feeling better some days and still a worry others, I felt very pregnant the other day as by the end of the day my stomach looked huge! Then occasionally I wake up and tummy is normal looking. Been having round ligament pain and a few very mild cramps so feels like everything is moving/growing. Can’t wait for the next scan!

I’m 16 weeks on Saturday! Next midwife appt is next Friday. How have you been lovely?

@BlondeAutumnGirl I totally get it! The lead up to the 12 week scan can feel so frustrating! You could always get an early scan privately if that’s a possibility for you? I did and it was so reassuring. I didn’t feel any sickness really at all, just very bloated and tired in my first trimester! And now at almost 16 weeks there are some days where I just feel like a very normal human haha! It’s a wild ride isn’t it?

Hope you’re both doing great! Big hugs!!

GoldIvy · 15/11/2025 07:22

Just thought I’d send a little update, had a private scan on Monday and all was well, baby doing backflips and everything (although couldn’t feel it! Ha), and had midwife appointment yesterday and heard the heartbeat which was wonderful 😊

hope you’re all doing well! X

BabyBorn · 15/11/2025 09:20

Morning! So sorry I didn’t reply to your last message! I thought I had 🥴🥴😂😂

Glad all is going well and your scan was great! I’ve decided not to get a 16 week scan like I have done before! I remembered about the Doppler I bought when I was pregnant with my 3 year old and got that out last week and found the heartbeat pretty easily!! So that’s reassured me massively! I’m going to have my 20 week NHS scan and have a 4d scan around 27 weeks!

How are your symptoms? I can’t stop eating! Apart from that I feel completely normal!! Xx

BlondeAutumnGirl · 16/11/2025 15:44

Hello! Don't know how I've missed all the new posts. I have been ok except the fatigue really ramped up the last couple of weeks which was so hard! Plus some headaches which hasn't been fun.

I have my 12 week scan tomorrow and feeling anxious - no idea why though!

How is everyone doing?

BabyBorn · 16/11/2025 16:24

Hi @BlondeAutumnGirl good luck for your scan tomorrow! Is it your first scan? It’s such an anxious time but sure everything will be just fine.

I have been having horrendous headaches too. I’ve had acupuncture last week and they seem to be much better but god what a pain they are. X

It will be my 2nd after having had a viability scan at 8 weeks :) I've also booked a private gender scan for 15 weeks, I can't wait. Plus I love seeing baby on the screen!
If all goes well tomorrow, I've told my boyfriend that we are going to the shops to actually buy something for baby!

BabyBorn · 17/11/2025 12:35

Aawwww, let us know how it goes! I am waiting for my 16 week app now and the midwife is 25 minutes late so far! 🙄
I am not finding out this time although I think we will be team pink again! 😍 I don’t buy anything until past 30 weeks!! X

BlondeAutumnGirl · 17/11/2025 13:06

The Hospital cancelled my appointment 3 hours before. Apparently the Sonographer had to go home sick. How can they only have one available Sonographer for a whole Hospital! Fuming and devastated, haven't stopped crying since they called.

BabyBorn · 17/11/2025 14:25

@BlondeAutumnGirloh no! What a nightmare! I suppose the plus is that you didn’t have any contact with the sick sonographer! 😩 can’t you ring the antenatal appointments are re book?

BlondeAutumnGirl · 17/11/2025 14:42

They have rescheduled for Thursday morning. Right before my Nana's funeral. I'm just 100 times more stressed now. I was already really anxious about today - I have no idea if all is well - and now I have to wait again.

BabyBorn · 17/11/2025 14:58

Sorry to hear that @BlondeAutumnGirl and so sorry you have lost your nan. I lost mine in June and I’m still massively grieving and emotional. Try and take care of yourself if you can. She wouldn’t want you all upset and anxious. Xx

BlondeAutumnGirl · 22/11/2025 08:55

Scan on Thursday morning went well and was measuring a little further than originally thought at 13 Weeks 3 days. Clearly saw the baby opening their little mouth "drinking water" as the Sonographer put it 🤣 so relieved!

5 weeks and no symptoms - not even sore boobs
BlondeAutumnGirl · 22/11/2025 08:58

@babybornIt was a nightmare! The stress gave me a migraine I couldn't shift and I spent all of Tuesday being badly sick. At 5pm I still couldn't even keep water down and 111 sent me to Urgent Care. I was horribly dehydrated and got prescribed anti-sickness medication. Took a day or so to fully recover but I'm ok now xx

GoldIvy · 22/11/2025 12:25

@BlondeAutumnGirl aww this is wonderful news!! So happy for you! So sorry to hear about your other scan being cancelled and about your Nan, can totally imagine the stress! Really happy to know your scan went well xxx

GoldIvy · 22/11/2025 12:26

@BabyBorn I feel the same too! 18 weeks today and apart from sore boobs and a little bump feeling very normal and no movements yet! How are you doing? Xx

BabyBorn · 23/11/2025 08:16

@BlondeAutumnGirl so sorry you went through all of that stress! Must have been awful. Glad you are out of the other side of it.
Lovely scan picture! Glad it all went well for you! Such a relief isn’t it!

@GoldIvy I am good thanks! 17 weeks and 1 day. The only issue I have at the moment is terrible heartburn waking me up in the middle of the night! Had to go downstairs to get a glass of milk and don’t felt it really worked! Still had the heartburn for over an hour after drinking it! I do have Gaviscon but need to look at the instructions to see how much to take and couldn’t be bother to do it at silly o’clock! Lol!! Have you had any heartburn? I’m feeling slight movements with an anterior placenta. Time is going sooooo fast!! Xx
