Hi all,

as the title suggests, I am
5 weeks and do not have any symptoms. Not even sore boobs. Is this normal? x

Hi everyone how's it going? Had our gender scan aaaaand! It's a boy! Although my mum says she's not convinced 🤣 says the willy looks "too big and not nubby" like my brother's was. Nutter. What do you guys think? Hope you're all well xx

Aawwww @BlondeAutumnGirl Congratulations! Did you have an inkling you were having a boy or not? Was that scan your 20 week NHS one? I’ve got mine on Friday and quite nervous. We won’t finding out what baby is this time though! Are you feeling much movement yet? My movements are definitely ramping up now. 🥰

@GoldIvy how are you love?

GoldIvy · 11/12/2025 06:57

Awww massive congrats @BlondeAutumnGirl !! Looks like a boy to me! How exciting! Massive congratulations lovely! So happy for you 🙂

All good here thank you @BabyBorn 20.5 weeks now and found out we’re having a girl! Feeling very excited and grateful!

Started to feel more movement around 19 weeks, just little tiny kicks which has been so reassuring. She’s not moving all day, just sporadically at the moment so very much looking forward to it becoming more regular!

Is it your 20 week one this Friday @BabyBorn? Hope everything goes really well lovely! X

BlondeAutumnGirl · 11/12/2025 07:07

@BabyBornno I was convinced it was a girl because that's what everyone was hoping for as my partner has two sons from his previous relationship. He had them very young and they are 14 and 10. But everyone is happy regardless. We paid for a scan at Window To The Womb and I'll be 17 weeks on Monday. I have a Consultant appointment today and I have no idea what it's for.

@GoldIvycongratulations on your little girl, did you suspect?

Hope everyone is feeling well in the lead up to Christmas x

BabyBorn · 11/12/2025 13:43

That’s really lovey news both @BlondeAutumnGirl @GoldIvy I am 20 weeks tomorrow and have my 20 week scan tomorrow yes. Actually excited about it, I wasn’t a week ago, I was so nervous.

Lwt us know how you get on with your consultant appointment @BlondeAutumnGirl I am sure it will be fine.

Can you both believe that we are half way through already! After our early days posting on this thread worrying about symptoms!! Crazy. So happy it all worked out for us! 🙏 xx

BabyBorn · 11/12/2025 13:46

should have added, still lovely though @BlondeAutumnGirl that your partner has 3 Boys. Also means you could try for a girl in a few years!! 😉😜

Weve got 3 girls and my husband has a boy from a previous marriage. I don’t care what we have and am so relaxed this time that’s why I am not finding out! I do secretly want to know but it’s our first and last surprise so I’m sticking with it! lol x

BlondeAutumnGirl · 11/12/2025 13:46

@BabyBornyeah I know seems mad that was so long ago and we were all so worried. Appointment was bloody horrible. They couldn't find the heartbeat and the Consumtant ended up rushing out to gey the scanning machine but then the midwife just caught it. I have never felt panic like it. Then came the explanation of the extra tests and scans I needed due to my "age and size". Definitely prefer being at home in my own little world.

Best of luck tomorrow :) let us know how you get on ❤️

BabyBorn · 11/12/2025 13:54

Oh no @BlondeAutumnGirl sounds horrific! Glad the heartbeat was found and panic over! Are you 40 or over? as I needed a consultant appointment for that reason! I was told I will be having 3 growth scans starting from 32 weeks!

BlondeAutumnGirl · 11/12/2025 14:01

@BabyBornno I'm 36, 5"2 and a size 14. They are very good at making you feel like a decrepid whale though! I'll have to have a diabetes test at 28 weeks and a couple extra scans to check that baby isn't too small. Again, according to him "accurately measuring bump growth is difficult due to your size" 😡

BabyBorn · 11/12/2025 14:39

Really!! Wowwwwww!! That’s terrible but the positive part of it is at least you get extra scans and they are keeping an eye on you! I’m 40, 5ft 6 and a size 8-10 but I have had two babies that were 8lb 3 and one that was 9lb 1. Because of this I have to have a GD test too 😩 had one with my third and it was clear. I am thankful they are keeping an eye on things though! Sorry they made you feel like that. You and baby are the priority and if they want to do extra checks let them… and enjoy the free scans seeing your little boy!! X

GoldIvy · 02/04/2026 15:57

@BabyBorn @BlondeAutumnGirl how are you both doing? Been thinking about you both! ☺️

BabyBorn · 02/04/2026 16:00

Hey @GoldIvyreally well thanks! How are you? Have you had your baby yet or are you close? I’ve got 4 weeks left! 😬😬 x

BlondeAutumnGirl · 02/04/2026 16:00

GoldIvy · 02/04/2026 15:57

@BabyBorn @BlondeAutumnGirl how are you both doing? Been thinking about you both! ☺️

Hello! I am good thanks how are you?? Am now 32 weeks, baby is head down and estimated to be around the 4lb mark. Any updates on your little one?

CurlewKate · 02/04/2026 17:31

It’s not a very long time since you were unlikely to know you were pregnant at all at 5 weeks. Or even later.

GoldIvy · 02/04/2026 17:45

@BabyBorn ahh amazing, so glad to hear all is well! I’m similar to you, 37 weeks on Saturday! So really close too! On maternity leave now and loving it! So glad all is good with you! Are you on maternity now?

@BlondeAutumnGirl aww so happy for you! We had our 36 week scan on Monday and they’ve estimated she’s around 7.7lbs already! Eek! Although I hear they can be off in their measurements…so hoping they might have overestimated hehe!

xxx

BabyBorn · 02/04/2026 18:06

Hey @GoldIvyi am 36 weeks this Saturday. We run our own business but I’ve slowed right down with things. I had a growth scan yesterday and have been told baby is on the larger side at 7lb 3! X

BlondeAutumnGirl · 02/04/2026 18:27

@BabyBorn @GoldIvy they often are inaccurate but maybe your bubbas will slow down with the weight gain now. My best friend got induced on her due date 3 weeks ago as baby was measuring 9lbs 14oz! She was 9lbs 2oz when she came out 3 days later.

I am getting more nervous and excited as the days go by but feel I am ready now.

BabyBorn · 02/04/2026 20:22

Excited for us all! I’ve not long got back from pregnancy yoga, had a shower and now on my birthing ball for half an hour!

How have your pregnancies been? Have they both been ok? I’m feeling mine now! My bump is massive!! My hips hurt and I can’t stop peeing. The head was 3/5 engaged at my appointment last week. I have had a 9lb 1 baby so I would expect this one to be ridiculously big. Not long now at all ladies! I am so nervous. Hoping to have a water birth at home! X

BabyBorn · 02/04/2026 20:23

I was supposed to say so I wouldn’t expect this one to be ridiculously big! X

BlondeAutumnGirl · 02/04/2026 21:27

@BabyBorn sounds like you're smashing it! I can't really complain - just also peeing a lot, bad hearburn and pelvic pain if I sit down too long. How big do you think yours will be?

toomanysausages · 02/04/2026 22:01

I didn’t have symptoms until I was about 7/8 weeks… then it all hit me at once 🤢

BabyBorn · 03/04/2026 21:06

@BlondeAutumnGirl Thanks! Yes heartburn is hideous isn’t it! Not eating close to bed time relieved mine! My hip pain has started this week! Almost wadding sometimes! 😮‍💨 I think this one might be close to 9lb not 10lb 6 which the hospital has predicted 🙄 How about you? Do you feel like one might be little or large?! 😂 x

BlondeAutumnGirl · 03/04/2026 21:09

@BabyBorn oof that would be an ordeal! Yeah, I try that but there doesn't seem to be much rhyme or reason to the heartburn! I'm not sure - I was 6lbs 7oz, my partner was very prem so only 2lbs but both his boys from previous relationship were 9lbs! I am definitely waddling!!

BabyBorn · 03/04/2026 21:11

I think a baby 7lb something would be a lovely size! Hopefully yours won’t be too big! Did you find out if you are having a boy or girl? Can’t remember now! X

BlondeAutumnGirl · 04/04/2026 07:54

@BabyBorn it's a little boy :) was gutted at first not to have a girl as this is likely my only baby and we have the two boys but I'm very excited now. I can be the undisputed Princess of the household 🤣 I'm feeling increasingly ready but also nervous about everything.
