Hi all,

as the title suggests, I am
5 weeks and do not have any symptoms. Not even sore boobs. Is this normal? x

Thanks so much @LilacHeartsJust need to stay positive and hope that the pregnancy is in the correct place! I’ve been having niggling/pinching feeling around what feels like my right ovary since last night, it’s on and off. Always a worry after a previous ectopic and MCs. Not painful or constant, just aware of it and maybe overthinking it?!

So glad for you that everything has worked out really well for you. I think once you actually feel your baby moving it will put a lot of your anxiety at ease! x

GoldIvy · 30/08/2025 18:53

@LilacHearts so happy to hear this!! So lovely! Thanks for the update! Totally understand your anxieties around it, and great to know there’s a mental health midwife, glad you’re getting some support. Pregnancy was not the straight forward journey I thought it was going to be! Wishing you all the best with the rest of the pregnancy!

@BabyBorn I’ve been having that on left ovary weirdly, but had the same thing last time too and wasn’t ectopic, think it can also be ligament pulling? So frustrating though as when you’ve gone through those things it makes us hyper aware of every sensation doesn’t it! Sending positive vibes to you!!

Much love to all xxx

Hey@GoldIvyYes, it’s very spooky isn’t it! I’m only on my second session of acupuncture but I’ve been going to reflexology for around 11 years.

Yes is it worrying. My ovary pain only started last night and was niggling a little, nothing through the night and started again this morning at some point. I’ve had it on and off all day. Thing is I had a few things yesterday that aggravate me, food wise, so I’m hoping it’s linked to that. Sometimes I feel pain when I’ve had foods I shouldn’t and it feels like it’s around my ovary! I had too much flaxseed yesterday and I had spices in a curry I made which I react to sometimes with slight IBS. Will obviously monitor it and go to an and e if I think I need to. If not, will ring EPU on Monday and see what they say. Hoping it’s normal pulling and stretching but I know I ovulated from that right side which is making me read in to it a whole lot more! I’m super tired too. Just on way back from a huge shopping centre with two children and my husband looking for a school bag for our daughter who has decided at last minute she wants a new one for school when she goes back on Wednesday! 🥴🙄

Hope you are all feeling good this evening! x

GoldIvy · 31/08/2025 14:52

@BabyBorn hope you’re feeling ok today! I’ve still been having ovary pain on my left side today but I’ve read that ovary pain is very normal at this point (sounds like it’s either, hormones, cyst on an ovary, or ligament pulling), so fingers crossed! Hope you’re doing well today and able to enjoy the weekend 😊

hope the shopping trip was a success! I feel like I’m nesting already, I’ve spent the weekend taking things to the dump and cleaning out my car haha! X

BabyBorn · 31/08/2025 15:31

Hi @GoldIvy Sounds like you’ve had a productive day clearing and sorting! I love that! Feels so satisfyingly doesn’t it!

Hope the ovary pain isn’t too bad! Mine has virtually stopped! I’m having the odd twinges but nothing like what I was worrying about yesterday! So much more positive and calm today! I bet there’s all sorts of reasons ovary pain can occur, what you’ve said makes sense.

I haven’t done an awful lot today! This doesn’t happen often! We have stayed home and played with our little one, tried to watch a box set. It’s been so lovely. Cooked in between and kept it healthy! x

GoldIvy · 06/09/2025 08:58

Good morning @BabyBorn ☺️ how are you this weekend? My boobs have started to be very sore now so feeling relieved, although did have lots of crampy feelings in my left again yesterday which got me slightly on the worry train again but feeling better today with it there but not as bad!

hope you’ve been doing ok this week lovely! Xx

BabyBorn · 06/09/2025 09:29

Morning @GoldIvynice to hear from you! I am good thanks! Glad things are ramping up for you slightly. I have been having more boob tingles this week too. I’ve also been waking up feeling slightly off but soon perk up again after I’ve eaten! 😂😂 I’ve got a scan next week at the EPU and I am so nervous. It’s really triggering because of the two last losses I had and I went there to be scanned. 🥴 Will you be having an early scan? X

GoldIvy · 06/09/2025 10:57

Oh @BabyBorn I can totally understand that, it’s such a traumatic thing to go through so I hear you! I think I’ll feel the same, I’ve booked an 8 week scan privately towards the end of Sept so really hoping that will put my mind at ease too! Keeping everything crossed for you, keep me posted on how you get on lovely (only if you like!) xx

BabyBorn · 06/09/2025 14:12

Just so deflating hearing that something is wrong. Then not only do you have to go through finding that out you have to deal with whatever comes next. Last miscarriage was a natural one luckily but the one before I had to have a D and C. I’m just holding on to the fact that this time I have symptoms and the other times I had lost my symptoms, so it’s the only thing keeping me positive! That’s great you’ve booked a scan for peace of mind! I’m sure everything will be absolutely fine for you! I will definitely let you know how things go next week! x

GoldIvy · 06/09/2025 19:09

Aww I totally get it @BabyBorn , I had to have a D&C after the 12 week scan and it all felt very traumatic and horrible. I went under General anaesthetic for mine, and was so glad I did, plus the hospital were amazing to me which I really felt helped the process but just such a tough thing to go through. It’s totally understandable that we’re both feeling more anxious this time, it’s only natural (especially when you had two previously, I can imagine that makes it much harder to relax, sending hugs!). I have had a slightly more anxious day today, and done a bit of googling on left ovary pain, and now today I’ve hardly had any pain at all which probably should be reassuring but actually now I’m like ‘where has the pain gone??!’…it’s like I can’t win haha! I’m trying to completely trust the process, but of course having a loss previously it does make it harder! Sending us both loads of positive vibes and baby vibes!! 💗💗💗

BabyBorn · 07/09/2025 07:56

Morning @GoldIvyyes you are completely right. No matter how much I try to put the pregnancy to the back of my mind and relax it doesn’t work 😆😆 I am so sorry you have had to go through surgery and loss too. We can only hope these are sticky ones for us!
Have you had the ovary pain for long? I thought I could feel ovary pain too but I’ve had an IBS flare up for over a week! Triggered by onions and chillies I think 🥴 because everything is so close down there, I thought the pain was coming from my right ovary but then realised it’s probably near my bowel area. It’s improved so much now so trying to chill about it. I know the Corpus Luteum can perhaps feel a bit niggly when it’s collapsing and shrinking, so could be that if you ovulated from your left side! Which is all completely normal. If the pain is really sharp and you get pressure or shooting pains when going to the loo then I would get it checked out x

GoldIvy · 09/09/2025 08:44

Good morning @BabyBorn how are you? Is your scan this week? How are you feeling? Hope you’re doing ok lovely!

My ovary pain pretty much completely stopped so now I’m not worried about ectopic anymore but worried about why it’s gone haha, boobs are still very sore, but other than that not feeling fatigued really, (or other things like not really any constipation, not too moody/emotional, not much discharge at all etc) so really thing I only have is sore boobs which I’m sure I should feel grateful for but feel like I’d feel more reassured if the other symptoms were there. Time will tell I suppose and in the meantime I just need to stay as calm as possible. My scan is two weeks today! Praying all is good!

wishing us both some positive news! Sending hugs Xx

BabyBorn · 09/09/2025 09:05

Hi @GoldIvyI'm good thanks love! Glad to hear your symptoms are not too bad at all! Lucky you. I feel lucky too at the moment as only getting small
waves of nausea a few times a day. CM has increased slightly. I was very over emotional last week but I’m ok so far this week . My boobs hurt a tiny bit. I’m starting to go off foods slightly since yesterday so will be interesting to see if that continues.

My scan is tomorrow morning. I am so nervous for it. I even considering ringing up and putting it back a week! 🥴🥴 I am 6weeks 4 days today x

GoldIvy · 09/09/2025 10:36

Aww I hope it goes so well! Will be thinking of you lovely!! Mine is two weeks today and it can’t come quick enough! Totally get why you’re nervous, I feel the same, will be keeping everything crossed for you.

What is CM? I’m so rubbish with the acronyms haha!

I can tell I’m only really keen for bread/plain food, or cakes haha, I’m forcing myself to eat the healthy stuff at the moment 🙂🙂

BabyBorn · 09/09/2025 14:44

Hey @GoldIvyCM is Cervical Mucous! All very glamorous! 😆

Ive spent the past hour lying down as I felt so sick! 🥴 Hope your day has been a good one so far! X

GoldIvy · 10/09/2025 11:09

Thinking of you today @BabyBorn 🩷🩷🩷

BabyBorn · 10/09/2025 11:11

Hey! Thank you! I’ve been and all went well! I’m measuring 6 weeks and 3 days! Not too much longer for your scan now!! How are you feeling? X

GoldIvy · 10/09/2025 14:12

That’s wonderful news @BabyBorn ! I am so happy for you to receive that lovely news 🩷 hope you’re feeling relieved and much better.

I’m feeling ok thank you, my left ovary area has started to feel a bit funny again, so at first I was happy but now I’m worried it’s ectopic…my brain allows no rest for me haha! I called the EPU and they said to call my GP, but it’s not been too bad just a bit burny/crampy. I’m starting to feel more fatigued now too! Cannot wait for my 8 week scan!

Thanks for keeping me posted about your scan, so happy! Xx

BabyBorn · 10/09/2025 14:52

Thanks love! I feel so much better now. I felt close to cancelling the appointment a few times as my anxiety was so high.

Are you going to ring your GP then? I would. Having a scan at EPU will put your mind at ease with the ovary pain you have been having. You could be seen by next week if you make the call today? I’m sure it’s nothing but if it’s bothering you an on your mind then please get it checked out xx

GoldIvy · 10/09/2025 18:50

@BabyBorn so pleased!

yes I probably should, think I feel nervous eek, but will see how I feel tomorrow ☺️ good to put my mind at ease though so will definitely consider it xx

GoldIvy · 12/09/2025 14:09

@BabyBorn I ended up having an early scan today and all is good and saw a lovely little beating heart! So happy! The sonographer thinks I’m more around 7 weeks 5 days pregnant so more than I thought! Feeling very relieved! Hope all is well with you lovely! 🩷

BabyBorn · 12/09/2025 14:22

Aawwwww that’s excellent news @GoldIvy! Did you ring your Dr in the end or did you ring EPU again? So relieved for you! Did you cry? It’s great that you can relax a bit now knowing all is well and baby is the the correct place! Did the sonographer say if the pains were due to you ovulating from the left side?

I am 7 weeks tomorrow! Time is actually going fast now! 😂😂🥴 x

GoldIvy · 23/09/2025 11:09

@BabyBorn sorry for not replying sooner! Yes I called my GP and she referred me to the EPU, she was so lovely! Yes I burst into tears when we saw the little baby (so did my mum! She came as my partner was away for work). She also wasn’t sure why my pains were on the left, as I ovulated from my right apparently!

How are you feeling now? I have a private scan on Monday which I can’t wait for, and first midwife appointment on Thursday, then hopefully will know when my 12 week scan is!

Hope you’re doing really well lovely xx

LilacHearts · 23/09/2025 15:00

@BabyBorn @GoldIvy
I am so thrilled to hear that you two are doing so well - I had a feeling that you’d both be ok this time and I bet those symptoms have ramped up now?

I took the plunge and paid for a private NIPT at 12 weeks and everything came back low risk and I’m having a baby boy 💙 I’m 15+1 and have started to feel some tiny taps and swooshes which is reassuring - genuinely can’t wait for him to be booting me in the ribs.

Cant wait for more updates from you both soon xxx

BabyBorn · 24/09/2025 08:22

Hi @LilacHearts and @GoldIvy lovely to hear from you both! Oh wow, I bet you did! So emotional isn’t it! Glad to hear you have all your upcoming appointments around the corner and your next scan on Monday!! I had a sneaky scan last Wednesday where I was measuring 7 weeks 5 days. All was looking good. I have booked another scan for when I’m 10 weeks so hope everything is just as good then!

@LilacHearts thats so lovely! Congratulations on your baby boy! Also on your NIPT results! I’ve booked mine too for just over a few weeks time! Nervous as I am 40 this time around! That’s amazing you can feel him moving around! I usually feel mine at 12/13 weeks so not too long now! It’s such an amazing and reassuring experience!

Hope you both have a lovely day and look forward to hearing from you again! Xx
