Hi! Just got my bfp yesterday, and looks like I’ll be due 1st or 2nd of Jan. my DS was born late august in the middle of that heatwave a few years ago, and so a winter baby will be a bit of a different experience!

whats your due date looking to be at the mo?

@Digby86 currently looking at 3rd Jan for me. But I got pregnant off the pill so I’ve not had a period so it’s a guesstimate really.
ive had one in May before (my first) so only pregnant through winter and spring and that was ideal, back to work in the new year as well, felt ideal for the first.

My due date by LMP is 2/1/2026.
Very excited and anxious at the same time.
Did some recent tests with very weak urine and got a quick positive and 2x digitals

Can I join! I got my bfp on Friday so thinking either very end of December or start of January. I've been starving for the last week but that seems to have calmed down a bit today. Been waking up early in the mornings the last few days but can't decide if that pregnancy related or my brain still processing everything. How's everyone feeling today?

I am starving too! I literally feel hungry like i have never eaten every couple of hours.

Congratulations!! I haven’t felt any different yet. We have been ttc for 4 months and each month previous I felt what I thought were signs, but this month I did not so it was a big shock getting a bfp. I think I still haven’t quite processed that it is real. Are you all continuing to test for a while? If so how long for?

I definitely can't my head around that's its real. My periods have been really messed up since coming of the pill last June so was starting to think it just wasn't going to happen. This my first at 35 (36 in a few months) so it's all feeling very surreal.

I had a two - three weeks on a CB digital on Saturday so debating if I should test in another few weeks to see if I get 3 weeks plus or just to leave it and hope for the best.

I was surprised when it said you didn't need any extra calories the first trimester with how hungry I've been the past week!! But I guess if we're that straving our body must be needing it. Or that's what I'm telling myself

Yes I agree. I'm trying to have extra fruit and veg and keep away from the Easter chocs.

Congratulations! I am the exact same. So hungry all the time, and waking up around 5:30 every morning instead of my usual 7am. I think it’s deffo a pregnancy thing because I’d happily sleep until 8, but I just can’t now

@ForCalmRobin I didn’t have any symptoms for my first pregnancy with my eldest, apart from the bump eventually I never really had any symptoms at all. So strange.

I have been testing most days still, I don’t really know why, I feel crazy hahahaha. I think I’ll stop now unless I have a reason to, like bleeding or something. I guess I just didn’t believe it

I had a faint positive on Saturday at 10dpo, been testing since , watching for the progression, currently on 13dpo.

Ah guys I’m stressing myself out. Did a test Friday and another yesterday. Both very definite positives but line doesn’t seem to have progressed at all. Would you be worrying or am I being insane?

im sure at this point with my son I had a dye stealer!

I only have frers so holding off on testing again as seems a waste to do another one 24 hours later when i know it isn’t going to have changed materially!

@Digby86 sorry to hear you're stressed, everything just seems so unknown and out of our control at this phase. I only did one cheapie strip test and then moved to a digital week indicator so haven't been watching line progression but did read on a few other threads that line progression to a point isn't a reliable indicator of progression. I wouldn't worry to much if it's still positive.

Do you know roughly how many weeks you are? Could you do a CB weeks indicator test to help put your mind at ease, at it might be clearer than trying to look at the lines? Have you had any symptoms?

yes I think you’re right that a digital might put my mind at rest a bit more. I’ll only be 4+5 based on LMP so wonder if getting to a 3 weeks + on digital would help reassure me all is on trac

no symptoms really. Have been quite cramps just on one side and very tired. But otherwise feeling alarmingly normal!

how about you? How have you been feeling?

anyone else contacted the midwife team yet? Wondering about calling them this week as I seem to recall it can take a few weeks to get the booking apppointment in and then you need various bloods done pre 10(?) weeks. But feels weird when it’s so early

@digby86when is your due date? Mine is the 2/1.
I booked the midwives via the online booking form at my hospital. I'm now awaiting the letter with dating scan date.
I'm also having cramping.

@MonsterBookOfTyson what does your cramping feel like I’m getting a bit and I’m getting worried
