Hi Nicole, I'm hoping I'm going to be able to join in too, but not sure if I am getting line eye.
Congratulations what a lovely Christmas present 😊

I've had 2 previous miscarriages one in April and another in October.. and this is my first full cycle since my recent one, so not sure if I'm clinging onto a positive with my line eyes haha. 🙏

Hello welcome 🩷🥰 That's definitely positive to me, mine are still very faint but I've had a few so I'm assuming it's happening!

Hello ladies. I had my positive today at 10dpo. It is the strongest 10dpo I've ever had so I'm really optimistic. I've had 7 previous losses, but after finally finding out what may have been causing them, I'll get the prescriptions I need on Friday this week so hopefully this one sticks! I keep trying to tell myself not to get too excited too soon, but I'm finding following that advice really difficult.

Hi, So sorry for your losses its heartbreaking isn't it.. Can I ask what you will be taking? The early pregnancy unit said they would give me Progesterone once I get to 6 weeks to try and help, as the last 2 I lost at 7 and the 8 weeks 😪

Baby dust for you 🤞

I've got a digital for tomorrow, so will no 100% if the test above were a false positive.

nicolenorris · 24/12/2024 21:23

I did a digital around 3pm and another strip test. Strip test is more positive than this mornings but the CB digital was negative? Even though they both say 10mlu on the packet. I'm so confused 😭☹️

Was trying to not let it bother me but it has 😭 if both tests are the same sensitivity then surely they'd both be positive? The strip tests I've been doing the lines are defo getting darker so not sure what's going on 😖

OP posts:
nicolenorris · 24/12/2024 21:26

There's defo line progression

Certainly. I will be getting a prescription for progesterone and clexane injections. The NHS will not typically prescribe progesterone until your first scan as the NICE guidelines state a scan needs to confirm the baby is developing in the correct place. But this means you will not get your prescription until your 6-7 weeks at least.

I am exhausted by the lack of support from my recurrent miscarriage clinic so I have taken my care into my own hands and had blood testing and pelvic scan consultation done privately after my last miscarriage. My private tests revealed I had a clotting issue that could have contributed to my other losses. I also have a thyroid issue, though not surprising as I had half my thyroid removed last year as well (not pregnancy related, but now a real pregnancy concern). I took these results to my GP who was happy to treat the thyroid issue, but effectively said I would need to work with the miscarriage clinic for my clexane injections to treat my clotting issue when I fell pregnant again. I contacted them then and forwarded my test results and have heard nothing but silence from them since.

So when I tested positive yesterday, I reached out to the private doctor and she is more than happy to prescribe me what my body needs based on those test results. At my last consultation I spoke about my frustration with not being prescribed progesterone when I felt my body needed it most and she agreed and offered to write me a prescription for it as soon as I had my next positive test. I will most likely have to pay for this second appointment with her and for the prescriptions, but I cannot continue on waiting for the NHS for help. Either the NHS is too constrained or unwilling to help me.

Total out of pocket costs so far is £1,025 for private full thrombophilia panel, thyroid panel, and pelvic anatomy scan. It took me a while to save that amount, but in my case, I think it was very much a necessary investment.

While the box will indicate they have the same sensitivity, the digital tests are notoriously unreliable this early in pregnancy. You can do a quick search of this forum to see dozens of other posts where they also received not pregnant and misaligned week results.

My recommendation is to hold off the digital tasting for a few days and to only test with first morning urine when your HCG will be most concentrated. And if you are doing the digital weeks test, please give this post a read as it can more articulately explain why your test results may not be showing the results you are expecting.

Save your pennies and test with your cheapy strips (though I recommend still only with first morning urine) and once you see more substantial line progression, give the digital another try. I don't even bother with the digitals anymore. Not worth the heartache and stress just to see the words when I can visually see my cheap sticks darkening every day.

If you’re not getting 3+ on clear blue, this could be why… | Mumsnet

I wanted to share my experience of clear blue 3+ because the amount of anxiety this bought me was insane, and I couldn’t find anything anywhere about...

Well fuck. I tested this morning and it's a negative. But not like a faint negative, like a negative negative. Not even a shadow of a line. How can that be? Such a strong positive one day and then nothing the next? If it was biochemical miscarriage, the HCG would still be detectable today, just fainter, right? I genuinely am at a loss. And it's not like I use a different test today as all the shops are shut for Christmas. I'll test again later today but I've no idea what to expect. I am so confused.

Yes thats what the NHS said to me, they wouldn't give me it until 6 weeks and could see that the sack were the correct shape etc.
I hope this baby sticks for you lovely, after everything you have been through.

I think I'm out this month, just done an early boots test and it's negative and af is due in 2 days so would of thought it would show by now on an early detection test, strange I have the same symptoms as last time, lower back ache, pulling / cramps etc but must be my mind playing tricks 😪

😪 just like mine, now I'm thinking my easy at home were a false positive unfortunately. I've just done another early detection and it is negative, and af is due in 2 days so I think I'm out this month.

Me and my husband are trying for baby number 2. This morning at 11 dpo, I got my BFP. According to the Internet, my due date is the 9th of September. I had a chemical last cycle so I'm a little bit on edge but praying this baby sticks 🙏 xx
