I have just found out I am expecting baby number 2 and my due date is 1st May.

Has anyone else found out they are expecting and looking for some company?

❤️❤️

Conratulations to you!
I tested this morning with a clear blue digital and came up 1-2 weeks!
Still very early days though and period not even due yet

Cheeseballer · 25/08/2024 12:46

Just worked it out and I would be due 7th May!

BrodieKD · 25/08/2024 13:25

@Cheeseballer congratulations to you too! My periods only due today haha so very early days! How are you feeling? x

Hello and congratulations♥️!!

I found out I was pregnant 3 days ago, due 1st May. We miscarried our first baby and I am so terrified and anxious 😫

Also looking for some company from people in the same boat. Does anyone have an instagram account? Looking to follow other Mumma’s journies ♥️

@Cheeseballer congratulations to you too! My periods only due today haha so very early days! How are you feeling? x

I'm feeling OK thanks, been a bit nauseous in the late afternoons but actually feeling very pre-periody which is why I'm a bit wary in case it's a chemical pregnancy. How are you feeling?

And congratulations KP2404 xx

BrodieKD · 25/08/2024 16:03

@Cheeseballer I feel exactly the same. No strong symptoms yet but it's at the 6/7 week mark it hit me last time. I suffered from insomnia so I hope it doesn't happen again.

Congratulations @KP2404 so exciting!

I've booked a viability scan for 17th September x

Hi, I'd love to join for some company! I have recently found out I'm pregnant with my second, due around 3rd May. I'm cautiously excited with it being early days, I get so anxious during first trimester. I've booked an early scan for 14th September. Currently feeling fine, had a couple of days with bad nausea but that seems to have settled down, which is making me even more nervous! No other symptoms at the moment.

BrodieKD · 25/08/2024 18:23

@SweatyMama22 congratulations! oh I feel you! How old is your first? I don't think it's quite hit me yet that I am going to have another baby x

SweatyMama22 · 25/08/2024 18:53

@BrodieKD thank you! Congratulations to you too!! My first is 2.5 yo, what about yours? I know what you mean, it's not hit me yet either!

BrodieKD · 25/08/2024 19:21

@SweatyMama22 mine is just over 2.5years old and will be 3 in November. I think once I've had a scan it will start to feel a bit more real. Do you plan on finding out what you are having? And do you plan on telling anyone soon? X

I have to tell my work immediately for h&s reasons which is a bit of a nightmare but it's not worth the risk! I'll be telling them Tuesday. I'm tempted to get an early scan, is it normally from 8 weeks?

I have 2 children already (8 and 6) so a bit of an age gap!

notaurewhatusername · 25/08/2024 21:43

Due 17th April but not holding my breath as this is my seventh miscarriage and I've never carried to term 😕

SweatyMama22 · 25/08/2024 22:23

@BrodieKD I think it will be the same for me, though the scan feels ages away! We found out last time and I think I will do the same this time, I like to plan and feel prepared so I'm already wanting to find out so I can sort through all the clothes we kept from the first! There will be a couple of close friends I will tell as I see them in the next couple of weeks and I will tell my parents when I see them in a few weeks too. They are all people who I would talk to about a loss anyway if it goes that way so I am happy to tell them at this early stage.

@Cheeseballer I think you can often get private scans from 6/7 weeks but you risk being too early to see the heartbeat if your dates are off slightly, which then might cause more worry, so 8 weeks might be better. I did 8 weeks with my first, this time I will be 7 weeks but I'm going away the following week and I don't want to wait a couple of weeks until I come back! I bet your other 2 children will be so excited!

@notaurewhatusername sorry to hear that, I have my fingers crossed for you! Have you had any investigations and are the doctors doing anything to try and help?

rebecca199 · 26/08/2024 08:26

Joining with caution, I am pregnant with my 2nd current due date is 4th May (my first will be 2 on 10th May 😂)

I did have what we think was a heavy implantation bleed, stopped now thankfully and lines are slightly darker but it's still very early days.

Hoping this one sticks around!

BrodieKD · 26/08/2024 08:53

@rebecca199 aw fingers crossed for you! I'm having a panic this morning as my lines haven't got darker in 3 days 😳 x

Yeah mine have taken ages to darken!! Hopefully all okay for us both, have to think positive ❤️

BrodieKD · 26/08/2024 17:34

@SweatyMama22 yeah that's good thinking re the clothes! I was so precious about my dd's baby clothes that I kept most of it. I chucked a lot of it away when we moved as the newborn stuff was milk stained around the neck haha...why I felt the need to keep them I don't know!

Oh that's sooo exciting! Do you think they'll be surprised?
We are not finding out if it's a boy or girl. I didn't with my dd either...I've always loved surprises! I don't think I'll tell anyone for a few weeks yet x

@BrodieKD yes currently on steroids and have had intrilipids - first one I've had where I've been given this so hopefully makes a difference.

Have come across lots of doctors and conflicting information. NHS are not so helpful when it comes to recurrent miscarriages. I've gone private

BrodieKD · 26/08/2024 17:36

@rebecca199 sorry for such a brief message this morning. I was in a bit of a flap! You are absolutely correct, one day at a time. It's so hard not to get excited but I suppose anything could happen at this stage 🤞❤️❤️

@notaurewhatusername I have everything crossed for you 🤞what's the next step? Do they have a date in mind that they scan you?

OP posts:
notaurewhatusername · 26/08/2024 17:40

@BrodieKD yes I have to travel three hours so it's a pain but this clinic are apparently the best for the issues I'm having.

Every fortnight I am getting scans - sadly the bill works out to £500/£1000 a time on rotation.

Congrats on yours X

That's okay!!
Yeah I always say to myself, it's okay to be excited! I'm getting excited now! Xx

Cheeseballer · 26/08/2024 19:48

Ahhhh. My period is due tomorrow and I'm so anxious it will end up a chemical. Just got to wait which is frustrating! I can't bring myself to test again since getting a positive on digital.

SweatyMama22 · 27/08/2024 09:49

@BrodieKD how are you doing today? Have you tested again? My tests didn't get darker for 2 days so I've stepped away from the tests as it causes more anxiety, the same happened last time to me. It's lovely that you are going to have a surprise, I really like the idea I'm just way too impatient lol

BrodieKD · 27/08/2024 09:59

@SweatyMama22 I am feeling much happier today thanks. Got a nice big dark line and it's made me feel better. I only have 3 tests left so I'll use them and then that's the testing done. Haha I think most people are. I think there's something lovely about knowing and bonding before they come out too. How are you feeling? X
