I have just found out I am expecting baby number 2 and my due date is 1st May.

Has anyone else found out they are expecting and looking for some company?

❤️❤️

Found out a few days ago but line was very faint. Re-tested this morning and it’s slightly darker. As with some PP I’m being cautious as this will be my seventh pregnancy and have had a lot of losses but do have two little ones. I’m also 40 so being realistic about prospects but due date would be 1st May I think.

SweatyMama22 · 27/08/2024 19:58

@BrodieKD ah that's good news! Glad the test was a bit darker today. I'm okay thanks, starting to get some nausea occasionally, not looking forward to that really kicking in, and feeling a bit tired. Apart from that I'm all good, just taking one day at a time!

@Herewegoagain8 welcome! Sorry about your previous losses, I really hope this one goes well, got my fingers crossed for you 🤞🏻 x

rebecca199 · 28/08/2024 07:28

I had such a flap yesterday as I took a test (stupidly) after a whole bottle of water and only a 2 hour hold - you can imagine how light it was!!!!

Usually my SMU is darker but I can only do FMU today as I'm in the office and it's so much darker today!!!!

I can't believe how heavy my implantation bleed was, it was honestly like a period!! If I hadn't tested early I wouldn't even know I'm pregnant now it's crazy

Now I'm nervous it's eptopic 🙃

Seasidegirll · 28/08/2024 13:30

Hey, tentatively joining! Found out I was pregnant yesterday, period was meant to be due today but no sign of it 🤞🏻. We were completely and utterly shocked when the test came back positive yesterday, we’ve been trying for a baby for 2.5 years, have had an unexplained infertility diagnosis and we’ve just had a failed round of ivf!! We were just waiting for our nhs founding to be reapproved before we started another round of ivf but I’m pregnant!! Complete shock, feeling very very anxious but hopeful that this is it for us 🤞🏻

Joining with caution, I am pregnant with my 2nd current due date is 4th May (my first will be 2 on 10th May 😂)

I did have what we think was a heavy implantation bleed, stopped now thankfully and lines are slightly darker but it's still very early days.

Hoping this one sticks around!

Oh hello twin!

I have an early May toddler and have just found out I'm pregnant and also due in early May. LO is not even 17 months 🙈

I'm not due on until Friday but I have been feeling ill for a couple of days and yesterday woke up and the entire house stank to me!

I did a test late last night with very pale pee and got a faint positive. I'm guessing I'm 11 DPO at this point.

I showed my DP then proceeded to have a bit of a panic attack/wheezing frenzy.

It took us almost 4 years to get pregnant with our first and this was literally one time. We were supposed to start TTC in January after we got the house sorted this year/had a few more nights out as a couple 🫠

I am honestly in shock.

BrodieKD · 28/08/2024 14:11

@rebecca199 I hate when that happens...it does give you a panic! I am glad your line is lighter today. I am going to stop testing at the end of the week. Did your implantation bleed last as long as a period? Ectopic pregnancies are rare so I am sure it isn't. I know it's hard not to worry. One day at a time x

@Seasidegirll congratulations!! That's so exciting and no wonder you are in shock! What a wonderful surprise! I am so happy for you 🥰

Hi Ladies,

I've just found out and from the dates will be due 09/05/24. Very anxious after 1 chemical and 1 MMC this year. Fingers crossed this one will be okay.

rebecca199 · 28/08/2024 15:25

@TheBeesKnee we are proper twins!! Such similar ages!

It also took us a long time to conceive our daughter, and this was also first try!! We were expecting it to take ages again but couldn't believe it when it happened first try! Insane!

Congratulations!! Xx

Yes I defo learnt my lesson to not take too many tests haha!

I'm going to test until the weekend. As I'm speaking to my doctors again Friday to update them if I am still pregnant after the bleed! So will just look to get early scan booked and go from there

The bleed was 3 days, was like a period but maybe very slightly lighter, but still red heavy blood. My period is usually 5 days so I defo noticed a difference!

That's what I keep telling myself, and I have no other symptoms of it!

rebecca199 · 28/08/2024 15:28

@Seasidegirll @Kcitsorf congratulations ladies and welcome! X

Zeeha · 28/08/2024 16:00

I've had a very faint line this morning following a fresh transfer (IVF). Hoping for stronger lines to come as it's obviously very early days! My official test day is Sunday, so if all is well then I will let the clinic know on Monday and I think my due date would be the 8th May if isn't altered at a scan. I've had a missed miscarriage before, but I also have a one year old, so I know there is hope, I'm just very nervous and it all feels quite surreal.

Dullblue1234 · 28/08/2024 17:25

Hey!
Joining with EDD 8th May 🤞
Going to try a digital tomorrow and then walk away from the tests!

BrodieKD · 28/08/2024 18:43

Congratulations @Kcitsorf @Zeeha @Dullblue1234 how exciting! Welcome to the group!

@Dullblue1234 good plan! I need to too!

What vitamins is everyone taking?
The ones I'm using make me feel SO sick, for about an hour after I take it I feel like I'm going to throw up so need to try some different ones!
Currently just using boots own brand pregnancy ones

I'm using the Zita West ones... So far, so good!

Dullblue1234 · 28/08/2024 20:41

@BrodieKD ahh thank you.
I feel like I need my solid solid line, and I'll chill out a bit! My period is due tomorrow/Friday so I'm hoping they'll get darker soon 🤞🤞

BrodieKD · 28/08/2024 20:59

@rebecca199 I am not taking any. Should I? I've only been taking folic acid x

It's a good idea. You get omega and iron and stuff in them which is important.

I'm still breastfeeding so have been taking my bf pregnacare tablets and will continue until they run out then get prenatal vitamins again.

Zeeha · 28/08/2024 21:15

Thank you!!

The midwives I've seen often suggest Pregnacare. Amazon usually have a decent price and sometimes the supermarkets do 3 for 2. Vitamin d is recommended too (which is likely in most all round pregnancy supplements) . I became severely deficienct in vitamin D even with taking supplements through my last pregnancy and I had to have loading doses from the doctors and now I take a high strength dose every day to maintain sufficient levels.

Zeeha · 28/08/2024 21:16

Also if you take the supplements with a meal that can help! I believe they absorb better too.

BrodieKD · 28/08/2024 22:17

Oh I'm holiday at the moment but will start once I am home. Oops! I didn't even think 🙈
