I have just found out I am expecting baby number 2 and my due date is 1st May.

Has anyone else found out they are expecting and looking for some company?

I'm not sure if we'll find out this time. Our first was supposed to be a surprise but I caught a flash at a scan and knew it was a boy - DP missed it so he was genuinely surprised at the birth! It was lovely.

However we really struggled with names last time and I'm wondering if it would help knowing the sex of the baby this time round to help with the shortlist.

I’d like to join if possible? I’ve had positive results on early response, period due in a couple of days but really hoping this is a sticky baby 🤞
my son will be 3 in March and this little one will be due mid May!
I’ve no symptoms except being super tired.

Tbh, it did help us (knowing the sex) when it came to names. I had so much mental clarity when I knew I no longer had to think about and research boy names.

I have just filled out my self-referral form for the maternity unit! Very excited to get my letters and appointments!

@Beckatha I've paid for a private scan at 8 week. I'll have my nhs one at 12 weeks x

Ahh jealous! Can't do mine til 6 weeks 🙈 4+5 today

Ah I see! How come? Are private scans expensive?

@Beckatha it just feels like a long wait until 12 weeks and I just want to make sure there's actually a baby in there and all is ok. We are going to Window to the Womb and it's costing £70 x

@BrodieKD Ahh fair enough, I get that! :) Have you had your first mid wife meeting? Got mine in a couple of weeks

I'm 4+6 according to my calculations!

My hospital doesn't seem to have a limit on when you can do the form but I seem to remember that they took blimmin' ages last time so I just decided to put it through, no harm.

@Beckatha my booking in apt isn't until 9th October and then my 12 week scan is 16th. Feels like ages away but I am sure it'll be here before I know it x

I just submitted mine 😂🤭 for exactly the same reasons

I did my self referral today as I know where I am it can take ages for it to get through to midwives
And booked myself a private scan for 9 weeks 2nd October feels like ages away for the scan! Hoping once I’ve had a scan at 9 weeks I’ll be able to relax a little bit and know babies fine!

Ahh okay, quite late first appointment then, I was booked in for next week but then they said they have to move it to the following week as they see you from 7 weeks, but I guess you'll be at 10 when you have your first? I'll be 12 weeks. I'll be 12 weeks the week after you, week commencing 20th :) Not booked in for a 12 week scan yet tho, presuming they'll do that at the first appointment...

Was just looking into the 8 week scan thing at some places near me, good to know it's an option! Even if they do look more bean like than baby like at that point hehe

Hi everyone! I've just found out I'm pregnant - very early days with a due date of 19th May going by the NHS calculator.

This was our 3rd cycle TTC #1. Something kept pulling me back to this thread over the past week - maybe women's intuition haha!

Thank you! Very excited, nervous..is it possible to feel all the feelings at once haha!

I thought I may have been out this cycle as I don't feel any different but looking back now, my symptoms were there:

• Very spotty - this has only happened once or twice pre-period so not a common period symptom for me
• Thrush!! I have never had thrush before in my life, now I've read its common in pregnancy, even early with the hormones starting to change
• My funniest 'symptom' - I saw a tik tok of the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders performing their Thunderstruck routine and I was overcome with emotion for absolutely no reason😂

Really hope everyone in this thread feels well - congratulations to us all.

@ksbgTTC hahaha yes! It's the most wild experience when you first found out.

Aww the pregnancy emotions are real. I've cried so much over the last few weeks over nothing.

Is anyone else having crazy pregnancy dreams? Mine are nuts!

I actually am under the EPU for this pregnancy, I have a scan booked towards the end of the month where I should be roughly 7 weeks. They've also said that if everything is ok I will be prescribed progesterone.

I don't know if I'm overthinking things but I am in complete panic this evening. I tested positive Friday with a clear blue early test, positive again Saturday and then a digital on Sunday saying 1-2. I tested this morning on one of the cheap strip tests (literally cost £1.50 for 3 tests) and it was so faint it basically looked negative. I went out and bought Tesco tests, took one this evening and it's very faint again, it looks like my tests are getting fainter and fainter and it's causing me so much panic. I've got another 3 Tesco tests here so will try again in the morning🤞🏼

@1441x oh it's such a worry at this stage isn't it? I'd test in the morning and then leave it another 2 days and test again. You should see progress if you skip a day. Let us know how your test is in the morning - fingers crossed 🤞 x

The weird dreams have kicked off 😀 I dreamt that a stranger told me I should start dying my hair as I have too many white hair!
I'm also so so hot at the moment! No temperature but feeling like im going to overheat.
I'm in Cambridgeshire area.
