Continuation from thread 7 over here; https://www.mumsnet.com/talk/pregnancy/5070517-september-2024-thread-7?page=40

Can't believe we filled the last thread up already feels like it wasn't even made that long ago, gosh time is absolutely flying by!!

@WinsandSam - I'll have to ask about CBT for sure, thanks so much for the recommendation - maybe I'll actually get some help seeing as I'm pregnant!

I've been trying to get mental health support for... Well to be honest since teen-hood and realising my daily crying was not in fact "just my period/puberty" as every doctor told me it was (all males ofc, typical 🙄) so I don't hold out much hope if I'm being honest.
I originally wanted to wait until my MH was sorted before ttc, but after over a decade I was running out of fertile time frankly, so here I am still with crazy anxiety and emotional dysregulation, but what can ya do?! 😅

As requested a new thread for us all! 🥰 can't believe its thread 7 already! Then hopefully by thread 14 we'll all have our babies in our arms talkin...

@SpicyMoth for making a new! Place marking 🤍

Emmaev · 11/06/2024 22:11

With every new thread it feels like our babies are just around the corner!

we had our 28 week growth scan today, and although baby girl looked good and the sonographer said cord and fluid looked as they should. Due to the whole system crashing we didn’t get a weight or to see percentile or if baby girl is growing as she should. So anxiety is still very much there. We did see baby girls face though and she is very very active.

However my partner did say well I guess we’ll go for a 3d scan now. Yay!

mrsbgb · 11/06/2024 22:14

Thanks for the new thread @SpicyMoth!

We had a follow up scan for baby’s kidney yesterday - he was incredibly active during, quite weird seeing and feeling him kick at the same time. They’re now not quite sure what his diagnosis is so we’re back again in 5 weeks, but he’s still on the bigger side - I’m 26+4 and he’s measuring about 2 weeks ahead for weight and length. Luckily head and tummy circumference are a bit more reasonable, his extra weight is all coming from being very long apparently!

Place marking!

Fik88 · 11/06/2024 23:56

Thanks for the new thread @SpicyMoth
Just marking my place

Honeyandsunshine1 · 12/06/2024 05:46

Wondered where you all went 😂

I’ve got fun-filled day planned at the hospital tomorrow. Gestational test at 9, midwife at 10:30 and then a growth scan at 5 🥴 I live in London but the hospital is still an hour away so undecided about whether to go home in between or just spend the day wandering about 🤔

Lillers · 12/06/2024 06:08

@Honeyandsunshine1 I’d probably go home and have a nap 😂

Honeyandsunshine1 · 12/06/2024 06:53

I think you’ve got the right idea @Lillers 😂 I just envisage myself being sad, having woken up to an alarm to do the hour journey back in 😩

Xur · 12/06/2024 07:41

Thank you

cd24x · 12/06/2024 08:21

Thanks @SpicyMoth!

Not much of an update from me. Day 3 of being stuck indoors with DS due to chicken pox and don't think I can take watching any more Paw Patrol 😩 Have decided to go up in the loft while DH is at work and get baby clothes out ready for washing.

Cat2022 · 12/06/2024 08:23

I’m waiting on results back to find out if I have immunity to slapped cheek as we think my toddler had it last week. Hopefully I am immune as might need additional monitoring otherwise which I already feel like Iv got lots of appointments coming up due to growth scans so not sure how il fit more in.

On another note I only have 9.5 working weeks left excluding holiday I’m taking and I can’t wait as it’s been very stressful lately and I’m feeling burnt out.

Cinai · 12/06/2024 08:25

Just marking my place in the new thread 😃

Decaffe · 12/06/2024 08:28

Checking in 😊

Caroline2023 · 12/06/2024 09:14

Just marking my place on the new thread!

I have my gestational diabetes test this morning. I’m already absolutely starving and feeling very grumpy 😂

rupertbear91 · 12/06/2024 09:37

Checking in too

HRP1990 · 12/06/2024 09:57

Morning girls 🫶🏼 thanks for the new thread!
Absolutely no updates from me! I’m low risk so I’m only seeing the midwife at the usual appointments. I’m 27 weeks today and it occurred to me he could be here from 37 as they consider you full term then don’t they? 10 weeks is a scary thought!!

Lillers · 12/06/2024 10:32

Got my order of baby clothes arriving today! DH didn’t want to know what I ordered because he wants to see them in real life, so I can’t wait to do a little show and tell for him later! He just texted saying he’s excited 🥹

Emmaev · 12/06/2024 10:41

Just had the results of the growth scan from yesterday and baby girl is measuring 2lbs 15oz at 28+2. I’m so happy she’s growing away nicely. Her legs are on the 90th percentile too

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 12/06/2024 10:41

Checking in on the thread! I'd lost the thread and didn't notice this one as I'm that used to just seeing the emojis on the other one 😂 must pay attention to detail more

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 12/06/2024 10:54

Anyone else's movements getting STRONGGGG?

I'm only 25+4 and I swear they weren't this strong at this stage with my first - some movements actually make me stop in my tracks. As I'm typing this she's thudding about in there, I can feel all the wriggly movements and stuff now too not just kicks. I'm thinking how on earth are they going to feel in another 10-15 weeks time! My placenta is anterior too

Lillers · 12/06/2024 11:06

@BeautyAndTheBump1 I can feel little one constantly! Sometimes it actually makes me feel a bit sick 😂. I’ve got a posterior placenta and am 25 weeks today, and have felt like this for a couple of weeks now. Genuinely don’t know what she’s up to in there - I thought they were meant to be asleep most of the time 😂

WinsandSam · 12/06/2024 11:17

Hi all!

@SpicyMoth good luck, you should be fast tracked as pregnant so for me it took 2 weeks. I feel very grateful having a lovely lady to speak to weekly about my worries ☺️ I think I've stored a lot over the years and it's all spilling out now I'm pregnant. So I hope you can get support asap

@BeautyAndTheBump1 I'm also 25 weeks but with my first. The movements are crazy, especially at night. She's trying to escape 😂

Had my 25 week midwife appointment yesterday. Communication between midwife and consultant is crap. Was told I need the diabetes test so been waiting for a date. At midwife appointment I was told I had no risk factors so don't need it 😬 make your mind up.

I only have 5 working weeks left at work which is CRAZY!!

cd24x · 12/06/2024 11:31

@Lillers that is too cute from your DH! I was in tesco yesterday and picked up some fairy non bio, and was getting all excited about doing the baby washing. My DH looked at me and came out with "why are you buying washing powder? Baby isn't due for another 3 months?!" Excitement and getting organised doesn't seem to be registering for him this time around 😒 let us know what you've bought when it arrives later!

@BeautyAndTheBump1 movements have really picked up for me this week too. Last Friday baby was non stop, then had a few quiet days, then picked up again yesterday afternoon. If I remember from last time, the kicks start turning into full on rolls the further along you get as baby starts running out of room. I loved that bit and still have the videos from being pregnant with DS at that stage.

I got up into the loft and have pulled out the bags of newborn and 0-3. Good news is there's lots we can reuse. What are peoples thoughts on short sleeve vests? We have TONS of them as DS was summer baby, but thinking we can still use under long sleeve sleepsuits, cardigans and pram suits for a winter baby right?

MrsM89 · 12/06/2024 11:39

@Cat2022 my little boy has had slapped cheek last week too. Unfortunately I'm not immune. But no one seems to know what extra monitoring I need. I'm really losing faith in my midwife and local hospital in general atm. X

tryingfortwo2 · 12/06/2024 11:46

Thanks for the new thread!

@mrsmoggy im not sure if I can tag you in this one yet? But just wanted to say my first baby measured small too, we had fortnightly growth scans, but the actual size was less of a concern, it was more about if she was growing steadily on her own trajectory. So if baby is 6th (I think you said) centile now, I’m sure they usually just keep monitoring to check they stay on that and if they do (we were 8th I think) I don’t think they do anything.

The growth scans were to make sure she didn’t drop further, indicating a potential placenta issue. Had she shown any slowed growth, they would’ve induced me, but as long as they keep plodding on along their own wee track then all is hopefully totally fine - just dinky ♥️
