@BeautyAndTheBump1 My goodness, what a great midwife you have! I hope you’re feeling better now - as much as it can be a worry having anything “wrong”, hopefully it also feels better knowing that it’s a real thing and you’re not just going mad!

@MrsM89 I'm also James Paget :) what's your due date? X

MrsM89 · 10/04/2024 09:21

@hol92 due 12th Sept. What's yours? X

rupertbear91 · 10/04/2024 09:24

@BeautyAndTheBump1 oh gosh totally feel your pain! Injected ondasatron is the best it's gives me a good 3/4 days of being able to eat something after having it.

GentleCat · 10/04/2024 09:39

@Lillers my sickness also came back around week 16, was gone a week or so later. Week 18-19 now and haven't puked in ages. The insomnia has come back - trying magnesium for that.

hol92 · 10/04/2024 09:41

@MrsM89 not until 25th sept :) but have been told because of how close I am to having my other baby ill likely have to have a c section 1-2 weeks before my due date x

BeautyAndTheBump1 · 10/04/2024 10:45

@Lillers she is great! And thankyou - managed to keep my breakfast down so far so thats a positive. Nothing ever helps with the nausea though. How are you feeling this morning have you been sick?

@rupertbear91 Oh really that's good! I've managed to keep my breakfast down this morning so thats a plus. I still feel dreadful though! Ive only ever had the ondansetron through cannula before so was surprised when she gave it me via injection.

rupertbear91 · 10/04/2024 12:04

@BeautyAndTheBump1 well breakfast staying down is always a bonus. I usually find I'm still dead the day after fluids then feel a little better the day after. I'm sure it's the length of time you have to spend in hospital having the fluids that drains you even more 😫

I have my first consultant appointment this afternoon I'm actually quite nervous as there are a lot of health issues to navigate for me over the next few months.

Does anyone else have their belly pierced? I'm in 2 minds if to take it out but then sure it will stretch the hole or get a plastic bar don't know if anyone else is in the same position?

Emmaev · 10/04/2024 13:08

Is anyone else suffering with round ligament pain, I went to work and was in so much agony I had to come home. Paracetamol isn’t even touching it. Don’t know what else to do? I’m only 19+2 is it gonna get worse?

YellowZ · 10/04/2024 13:11

@rupertbear91 I don't have a piercing, but I had surgery for an ectopic pregnancy and they put a camera in through your belly button 😵 ANYWAY my belly button completely popped out with my son and it seems to be slowly popping out again this time, revealing the scar there (and various bits of old scab, sorry everyone) so I'd say definitely expect things to move and stretch. It might get uncomfy? ...I've also got small incision scars on my belly that seem to have got thicker, maybe from stretching.

SC126 · 10/04/2024 13:39

@rupertbear91i think its just whatever you prefer to do with the belly piercing. It's probably going to look unsightly for a couple months later in pregnancy either way. I have a nipple piercing that I will probably have to remove soon which makes me a little sad.

LSW82 · 10/04/2024 13:45

@rupertbear91 I had a belly piercing with my first, think I took it out about 20 weeks when bump started to grow. Luckily I have a little dot above my belly button from where it was but that's it!

longingtobe23 · 10/04/2024 14:32

I’m 17 on the dot! 43% of the way according to one website I was thrilled with that 😂

and haven’t been sick today! But the toilet trauma I had in week 4-8 is back 🤦🏼‍♀️ not sure which I’d rather but at least I can control the toilet better! It’s my first full day back teaching and I have a class until 4:30pm all I went to do is nap and not see smelly teenagers 🤢

TTCSoManyQuestions88 · 10/04/2024 14:34

I'm almost 20 weeks now. Still haven't had that rush of energy. I am EXHAUSTED and totally unmotivated. I have quite a stressful job, lots of responsibilities, shit is such piling up and I cannot be arsed to do anything! I'm one of the highest performers in the team and I have somehow turned into the total opposite this pregnancy. Very un-feminist of me.

MrsM89 · 10/04/2024 14:38

@Emmaev i was in alot of pain the other day with it. For a few days the Only comfortable position was to be laying down. I'm pleased to say it did eventually ease and fingers crossed I'm okay again atm.
Is it both sides? Mine was my right it's such a distinctive pain isn't it. X

Emmaev · 10/04/2024 16:26

@MrsM89 it definitely is. Today has been the worst, when I move too fast I feel like someone is stabbing me in the belly with a knife. Starting to feel pokes just below my belly button so I think baby has grown and my belly is doing some major stretching.

I never had this with DD but I heard it’s worse on the second baby

MrsM89 · 10/04/2024 17:17

@Emmaev im on my third and definitely had it last time, I've started feeling baby the last few days too so agree it's linked to baby growing and things having to stretch a bit more.
All I can say is rest seemed to help more than anything. Xx

Lillers · 10/04/2024 18:04

@BeautyAndTheBump1 Not been sick today, but I’ve also been asleep for most of it 🥴. I’ve got my 16 week midwife appointment tomorrow so maybe she’ll have some words of wisdom for me.

I did some simple pregnancy yoga this evening - I’ve had quite bad hip pain for the last week or so and as much as I love my pregnancy pillow, it’s not fixed it completely, so I will also ask her if there’s any physio I can be referred to.

Caroline2023 · 10/04/2024 18:57

Just marking my place!

I am also feeling absolutely exhausted this week so definitely relate to those of you feeling that way! I’ve also started a new job which probably isn’t helping.

I’ve got a little bump now and had to order some maternity clothes!

I’m 16 and a bit weeks and have my midwife appointment on Friday.

Honeyandsunshine1 · 10/04/2024 19:00

Oh mate @BeautyAndTheBump1 what a day for you. How are you feeling now? 🩷

RosiePH · 10/04/2024 19:15

Hi again!

Majorly humbled by my physio today. She asked if I had a bump yet and I was about to say yes when she looked at my tummy and said no I don’t… so the little bump I’ve been stroking is in fact a big bit of bloating 😂

She said I could broadly call my pelvic pain a form of PGP as there’s no alternative name, but it’s actually caused by some prior pelvic floor issues and is sortable with some exercises! And absolutely no pelvic floor exercises for me…

It was worth paying to see a private physio for sure. So, so comprehensive with my medical history and symptoms. And no big waiting list either!

WinsandSam · 10/04/2024 20:32

@Honeyandsunshine1 thank you, that's very kind 💕 will look into hypnobirthing podcast too

@MrsM89 again, such a small world!! did you choose not to go to the nnuh? So far my appointments have been fine there

WinsandSam · 10/04/2024 20:35

@hol92 I'm the 28th Sept and also opting for c-section so we will likely be a similar time. Although you'll be JPH and I'll be NNUH. Did you pick JPH for a reason?

Ahhh I think this is what I currently have and have had since this afternoon!

@MrsM89 It's mainly in my right side!! It's a constant pain that feels like stretching and comes in waves of sharpness! It's round the front all round my right side and round the back right side of my back a bit! As I am sat here typing this though I can feel it slightly in my left side too but the right side is agony I can't get comfortable 😪😪😪

Martibum · 10/04/2024 22:19

4 weeks of flu/bronchitis or whatever is going on :/ can't remember if I mentioned already but my oxygen levels dropped and and I was marched to hospital to check for blood clot. Blood test was saying yes but pregnancy can give a false positive so cue xray and ct scans. None found and I left with no help for my on going horrible flu like symptoms :(
I had my fortnightly scan and the girls were rolling around like mad! They couldn't tell which leg belong to which twin.

On the clothes front, I done 2 orders from serphaine and everything is going back 😂 any other petite sized mums to be finding it hard to get things to fit right?
I ordered two non maternity dresses from h&m and 1 fits perfectly but it won't see me to the end for sure. I hate wasteful shopping and we don't have vinted here but I've been keeping an on depop but it's hit and miss.

I'm loving seeing the bumps! You all look fab! I look ridiculous, ya know Danny di viteo when he plays the penguin in batman? Literally the same 🐧
I'm 19weeks and I'm back to my pre pregnancy weight. I'd say it's from barely being able to eat but I'm trying my best now.

On the pram front (sorry if I repeating myself) I got a 2nd hand egg2 from a shop in England (I'm in ireland) and I was really impressed! It's called bambinos and beyond. No idea where it was based because I got it shipped over to me.
