Had my gender scan yesterday and also got told I've got an anterior placenta which is also low lying and over the birth canal, she said hopefully it will move up as I get further along. Anyone else had this in previous pregnancies?

I had such a positive vaginal birth experience with my first, I was hoping for the same again! The thought of a c-section scares me!

@BeautyAndTheBump1 i wouldn't worry too much. They very often move up. You will probably get a bonus scan closer to due date to just make sure if has moved.

I love all the bump pics! I’m still feeling massive, 19 weeks tomorrow. Not long until the 20 week scan feels like it’s massively dragging. But almost half way 😍

Though I've just looked at my notes from my scan yesterday and she's ticked "left lateral" on the placenta location 🤔 but she verbally told me it was anterior and low!

I've been laid on the sofa most of today with sciatic nerve pain. I used to get the odd twinge pre pregnancy, but it's been really bad the last few days. Hope it doesn't continue. Although silver lining, I wouldn't have to commute to the office this week!

Booked a gender scan for the 27th this month when I'll be 18 weeks. I think it will help me feel more connected and excited. Although I did feel a bit of excitement earlier talking with my mam about Christmas time with baby etc

I was feeling a bit jealous of everyone's lovely bumps as I'm still feeling more pudgy than pregnant but then reflected on the fact I've been living in joggy bottoms and baggy tops lately so decided to try on something more 'bump flattering' and was pleasantly surprised when a totally respectable starter bump suddenly appeared 😅🥳

Also for weeks every time I read the phrase 'baby bump' I thought it referred to a small bump, before it grows properly big. Only dawned on me this week that it's a baby bump because there's a baby in there 🤦‍♀️

I've reached a new unhealthy low this morning - I have SOOO many food aversions from vomiting everything up from the HG and after spending 3 hours looking for something to eat for breakfast this morning...I've settled on a jam sandwich 🤦‍♀️
