Hi all, I found out I am expecting my second baby on Wednesday, and I'm 5 weeks today. Early days, but wanted to start a thread for those with similar due dates so we can go through the motions together. ☺️
I'm due 10th September. My little boy will be 2 and 3 quarters by then, so a good little age gap.
Any anxieties? For me, less so about the pregnancy this time around, far more chill. My anxiety is surrounding timing. Baby 2 wasn't planned for just now, but a happy surprise and very much wanted. However, the most instrumental career opportunity for me is coming up in the next 2-4 months or so, and I was hoping to get this role. It may or may not have come off anyway, but I don't want my pregnancy to be the determining factor (I don't think my company would outwardly discriminate, but they might find a 'business reason' I wasn't successful), so I ideally need to keep my pregnancy hidden from work for as long as possible. If I get the role, I will have no worries in taking Mat leave around August and return next year, as I know I'll do a damn good job for them once I'm back, and for the foreseeable future. Anyway... that's my one thing at the mo! ☺️
Looking forward to hearing from you all.

Thank you @Daisy0909
Unfortunately we had a scan this morning which showed baby has stopped growing around a week ago, no heartbeat so now just waiting for the rest to happen naturally and then see how we feel
I'm ok, I think I knew over the weekend something wasn't right so I'm sad but I'm happy that we know and that there doesn't seem to be any issues just one of those things

How is everyone feeling today? I've got my official scan tomorrow, which I'm both excited and nervous for. I feel like my nausea etc has improved a lot, though I'm still having to eat throughout the day to keep it at bay. But I feel slightly more human. I'm hoping scan tomorrow will reassure me that is everything progressing at it should rather than the pregnancy itself in problems.
I'm also having to remind myself that tomorrow's scan won't be the end of all my concerns, and to think you then don't have another until 20weeks is crazy. But at least you should start to get a belly as proof...
I'm trying to focus on my diet at the moment. I wouldn't say I'm a bad eater, but it has made me conscious of a lack of greenery at times! So making a concerted effort to eat extra veg. I made a nice boiled egg, new potato, green bean and lettuce salad yesterday with a mustard dressing which went down a treat.
