Hi all, I found out I am expecting my second baby on Wednesday, and I'm 5 weeks today. Early days, but wanted to start a thread for those with similar due dates so we can go through the motions together. ☺️
I'm due 10th September. My little boy will be 2 and 3 quarters by then, so a good little age gap.
Any anxieties? For me, less so about the pregnancy this time around, far more chill. My anxiety is surrounding timing. Baby 2 wasn't planned for just now, but a happy surprise and very much wanted. However, the most instrumental career opportunity for me is coming up in the next 2-4 months or so, and I was hoping to get this role. It may or may not have come off anyway, but I don't want my pregnancy to be the determining factor (I don't think my company would outwardly discriminate, but they might find a 'business reason' I wasn't successful), so I ideally need to keep my pregnancy hidden from work for as long as possible. If I get the role, I will have no worries in taking Mat leave around August and return next year, as I know I'll do a damn good job for them once I'm back, and for the foreseeable future. Anyway... that's my one thing at the mo! ☺️

Just found out I am pregnant again, looks like I am 4+1, so super early, due Sept. This is my second baby, got a little girl who's 14 months.
It took us ages to conceive last time but only a few DTD's this time. I'm shocked but very happy!

Morning ladies, congratulations to you all ❤I would love to join this thread please! Turns out Friday 13th isn't so unlucky for me - I got a faint positive at 9DPO today, hoping for a darker line tomorrow. I have a daughter who is 2.5 and my due date would be 25th September! P.s, my boobs are on fire!! 😂

I had my early scan this morning, they said everything looks normal but they couldnt see the yolk sack yet because its too early so they've asked me to come back next week for another scan. They've also done some blood tests to check my hcg.
The wait continues....!

Yea I’ve been in touch with the EPU team this am. I do feel at ease and just awaiting the blood results also!

I got the hcg levels done to clarify whether there’s a pregnancy or not, even though I had 3 positive tests last night and this morning. But the hospitals was negative, so im so so confused 😕

@HattieRosa glad the scan looked normal. Dates are possibly a little out and prob a bit too early for the yolk sac. When would you get the bloods back?

@Tinkerbell098 not til Monday when I go in and have more bloods taken - they need to do a comparison to see what the levels are doing

Ahhh @Hannah93x fingers crossed! I had them done on Wednesday and got the results yesterday of 109 HCG! Fingers crossed it's the same for you!

5weeks today. Doesn't feel real at all still no nausea Im just hoping my Clear Blue gives me my 3+ tomorrow...Im bassicaly bartering with a pregnancy test like its an Internet modem in the 90s

Had an update from the gynae ward, so my hormone level was 56.. which does verify a pregnancy, have to go back on Sunday to check whether the hcg levels are rising. I’m just glad I have some answers now as my mind was in complete overdrive 😕

Thank you lovely! I had my pregnancy confirmed today but the hospital from hcg level. So I’m just so so glad, I have to go back on Sunday to check my levels are rising 🤞🏻❤️ still experiencing some slight spotting at present but I’ll just keep positive and hope it all works out. Thank you xx

Oh @Nypie I am not 5 weeks yet (Monday) and my boobs are so sore and the twinges are gross I do not like them, they haven't really been painful just a gross sensation! Haven't been sick yet but had some feeling sicky moments!

@PPop my boobs feel awful today but that makes me happy as it is a symptom 😂 I'm the same as you just feeling a bit sick but not like I could be sick. The tiredness is badd though. I bet you're excited for Monday! Have you done your referral?

@Nypie yeah the referral is all done! I was in the docs on weds and thurs. they were taking bloods on Wednesday anyway so checked HCG and Thursday told me that it was 109! So I was pleased with that!

Got my 3+ on my clear blue at 5+1 feeling so happy gonna sort out my referral and book my scan :)

Hi all,
just wondering if anyone else is having a lot of bloating and cramping, or did so around 3- week mark?
Being completely new to this and Google not being particularly helpful is making my anxiety soar! 🫣
it’s not pain and I would definitely get it checked if it began to be painful, but currently just very uncomfortable. Everything I’ve read says cramping and bloating can be normal as everything starts to shift and expand but doesn’t say how much or how long it would last. I’ve almost got a little bump just because of the bloat!

@Nypie I had to have bloods for my blood pressure issues (we don't know why but they presumed safe to have a baby) so I asked if they could take this as additional and they did!

@SFCM yes my bloating is awful! I've had a fair bit of cramping but it's not like google said it's more like poking and pulling about. I mentioned to the doctor and various other sources and all say totally normal! I'm 4 weeks 5 days.
