Hi all,
obvs still very early days. Iā€™m currently 4+4 and just trying to enjoy it really. Just wondering if anyone wanted to join me to share early symptoms, how youā€™re managing to hide symptoms, how youā€™ll reveal your pregnancy to loved ones etc. and all the other bits and bobs on this journey šŸ„°

Hiya. Ive just had this today at 14dpo. After a CP in Sept I'm really anxious and taken about 200 tests however I'm seeing good line progression finally. I paid for a private hcg blood test today as was convinced I'd lost baby again, then got the CB2-3 after, typical!! S x

@Soopyjoopy so sorry to hear about your cp šŸ˜”
completely understand your anxiety! Your tests look great šŸ‘šŸ» Iā€™m feeling a bit anxious but itā€™s pushed me the other way in terms of testing. I literally tested once and havenā€™t tested since. I had a strong line, Iā€™ve had no AF and Iā€™ve got pregnancy symptoms so Iā€™m hoping for the best šŸ™ˆ canā€™t bring myself to test again x

Thats so sensible, after my cp I said I wouldn't go mad again as it made no difference.. mines quite a complicated story, I was told many years ago we couldnt have babies, we foster, around 35 children, adopted 1 our beautiful boy, then I got pregnant with our next son who is just turned 1!! Now fingers crossed pregnant again!!!

Hi all. Iā€™m 5 weeks today but 19dpo as ovulated a couple days later this cycle because of CP last cycle. I also had a CP in October so this is my third pregnancy in 3 months. Iā€™m really hoping this one sticks but worried something will happen again.

Iā€™ve now got tonsillitis too and canā€™t get an appointment until tomorrow afternoon so my throat is in a lot of pain but luckily I havenā€™t got a fever so hoping it wonā€™t cause any harm to the pregnancy. I donā€™t think itā€™s an issue with no fever. At least if I can get something to take tomorrow Iā€™ll be better for Xmas day. I had tonsillitis when I was pregnant with my daughter too so Iā€™m guessing itā€™s because of the lowered immune system as I get tonsillitis when Iā€™m run down.

@Soopyjoopy your 14dpo test looks similar to mine this time round and I got the start of a dye stealer on 18dpo. I started bleeding with a negative test 18dpo the previous 2 times so it made me feel a little better. Iā€™m going to try so hard to not test again now though. I know that Iā€™m pregnant today so take it day by day.

@allgoodthings84 sorry to hear about your CPs and tonsillitis! I hope you start feeling better soon!
Your tests look good. It makes me want to do another but Iā€™m really going to try and hold off. Like you said, today Iā€™m pregnant. Just trying not to stress really but itā€™s so hard.

Hi all, Iā€™m 4 weeks today. I found out a few days ago with a really strong positive so Iā€™m trying to not let the thought of twins terrify me šŸ˜…

@LuckyStar511 thank you and congratulations to you too. Iā€™ve only done the 2 tests. The one on 14dpo to confirm I was pregnant. I knew I was as didnā€™t spot for the few days before AF like I usually do and AF always comes 13dpo unless Iā€™m pregnant. I was going to do the second test on 16dpo as both other times on 16dpo the tests were pretty much negative but I decided to hang on until 18dpo as that was the day I lost the other 2. I was very shocked to see it darker!

I know itā€™s still very early days though and I donā€™t feel pregnant but I think the tonsillitis isnā€™t helping. I canā€™t wait to get to the docs tomorrow. I didnā€™t have symptoms with my daughter until nearly 7 weeks.

How are you feeling?

Congrats @Nik84! do twins run in the family?

@allgoodthings84 with my first, the first symptom from missing AF was sore boobs but I donā€™t have that at all this time. I think maybe itā€™s because Iā€™m still breastfeeding though.
Ive been very tired and have had some nausea too. Trying not to overthink that though because with my first, my sickness was horrendous so I donā€™t want to get in my own head about it. Apart from that though, all good šŸ˜Š

@LuckyStar511 No they donā€™t, but Iā€™m 38 and know the chances are higher. Youā€™d think the body would want to hold onto eggs as you get older instead of flinging double out šŸ˜…

No, I have 8 and 10 year old girls. There wasnā€™t a plan for a third until last year when I fell pregnant unexpectedly and unfortunately lost it. After that we decided that we really did want another baby.

@LuckyStar511 i do have slightly sore boobs but not massively. They just tend to get bigger when Iā€™m pregnant šŸ˜‚. I hope you donā€™t get much sickness. My only symptom with my daughter (apart from the boobs) was constant nausea from nearly 7 weeks until around 20 weeks and horrific heartburn. I always had a bottle of Gaviscon to hand

@Nik84 Iā€™m sorry for your loss. how old are you if you donā€™t mind me asking? Iā€™ve just turned 38 and Iā€™m a bit worried about twins but Iā€™ll be happy if this pregnancy keeps going no matter what. My partner would be delighted šŸ˜‚. My mum has twin brothers so if the saying that it skips a generation it could happen šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø. I havenā€™t got loads of symptoms though and Iā€™ve heard that if itā€™s twins tends to be more symptoms?

Hi @Needtobuildabridge. so exciting this is your first baby. It will be my second the first one is now 7.

@allgoodthings84 I turned 38 in September šŸ˜Š I havenā€™t had any symptoms yet except for cramping like af is coming and the start of sore boobs. So thatā€™s a good sign! But I did get a really strong positive 5 days before I was due onā€¦ šŸ˜µā€šŸ’« Like you though, Iā€™d rather it was twins than no baby at all šŸ¤žšŸ»How old is your first?

allgoodthings84 · 22/12/2022 20:59

@Nik84 ooo same age as me. I was feeling maybe Iā€™m too old before but decided to have another as my partner doesnā€™t have a child. My daughter is 7 so not been in early pregnancy for 8 years. I didnā€™t find out with her until nearly 7 weeks as we wasnā€™t ttc. It was when the symptoms hit that I realised I hadnā€™t had a period so took a test

Hi everyone Iā€™m 4+4 šŸ˜Š

Came as a lovely surprise as we werenā€™t really TTC this month! Had a missed miscarriage at 12 weeks in August and a chemical in October so really hoping everything goes ok this time šŸ¤ž

No obvious symptoms so far apart from feeling bloated, but that could also be because I canā€™t keep my hands out of the Celebrations tub šŸ˜‚

@allgoodthings84 ah so weā€™re in a really similar situation, my youngest is 8 so it feels like a lifetime ago since I had a baby! I also thought I was too old but realised how much I really want this and there are lots of women who have babies later in life these days ā˜ŗļø
@ClaBro1 congratulations! I also had a miscarriage at 10 weeks, it was a hard time, Iā€™m sorry you had to go through that. Fingers crossed it goes well for us this time.
@Soopyjoopy šŸ‘¶šŸ‘¶ I donā€™t think Iā€™d cope šŸ¤£

Sorry to hear about your CPs šŸ˜¢ I suffered a miscarriage at 6.5 weeks back in august and it really does cause so much anxiety now! @soopyjoopy that's wonderful news, you beat the odds the doctors gave you! This will be our first baby. I am super early, around 3.5 weeks, But got a good positive on easy @ home.
