Thank you and CONGRATULATIONS @BoodifulGoose!! 💖

Nik84 · 17/12/2022 12:07

I’ve just had a really solid positive 6 days before period is due! I don’t feel excited at all, I miscarried in January at 10 weeks so I think I’m protecting myself from the heartbreak. It doesn’t seem real!

jollydollyirl · 17/12/2022 12:44

Thanks for the new thread!

marleyandme · 17/12/2022 12:52

@BoodifulGoose congratulations! How exciting to see your little bean 😁
I'm holding off til my 12 week (well nearly 13 week) scan which is at the very end of January and it feels like so long away at the moment! I'm sure it'll fly by though.

I got a bit over excited with my bloating and ordered some maternity jeans with an adjustable elasticated waist bit and they arrived today and I've never been so excited to put jeans on 😂 the relief of having not to keep undoing my button to relieve the pressure is amazing. But I'll keep them in the wardrobe until I've actually got a bump rather than just bloat but it's got me excited for wearing them anyway!

Marmaladebear · 17/12/2022 12:56

Hi everyone hope I'm ok to join I'm due 19 august with my second (have a two year old son). I've been lurking so wanted to introduce myself. Feeling very tired but no nausea yet which in thankful for as I really suffered with my first.

Thanks so much for starting a new thread!

TheBirdintheCave · 17/12/2022 12:59

@Nik84 Yeah I was just in the hospital picking up my Cyclogest and saw a tiny newborn in a car seat. I just thought 'I wish I had one :(' which is stupid because I am actually pregnant. I just have zero confidence that it will result in a baby.

ChloeN · 17/12/2022 13:00

@Nik84 it’s really hard after loss. I was really worried I wouldn’t be excited but I was over the moon getting a bfp because I felt like it was never going to happen again! I think there’s a few of us on this thread pregnant again after miscarriage so you’re not alone xx

BCxx · 17/12/2022 14:23

@Marmaladebear hi 👋🏼 due 22nd and my little boy will be 2 by then 😊

BCxx · 17/12/2022 14:24

Currently dying on the sofa, had the flu vaccine at 7pm last night and by 11 I was really not feeling great. Today I’ve woke up all achey 😔 The good news is my Christmas night out is cancelled as so many of us are ill and has been rescheduled for a few days after when my 12 week scan will be.. result 😂

Createcomet · 17/12/2022 14:26

@BoodifulGoose congratulations 🎊 that's such a relief! How exciting 💛

I've never had an early scan before, I've got at least 6 weeks until my 12 week scan. Probably should refer myself to maternity really 🤣🤦‍♀️ still in some sort of disbelief and denial so I'll give it a week 🤣

TheBirdintheCave · 17/12/2022 14:34

Welcome @Marmaladebear :)

CityKity · 17/12/2022 14:42

Yay another thread! Congratulations on the scan @BoodifulGoose how exciting!

LBF2020 · 17/12/2022 15:45

Congratulations on the scans guys! How exciting! I can't imagine what 'it' will look like. Have mine booked for Christmas Eve 😀

Mortima · 17/12/2022 15:47

Tentatively joining - I'm 5+1 (17dpo) with my first. Been quite anxious since finding out last week, after a chemical last month, but my tests are starting to convince me it's real! Not much in the way of symptoms so far. EDD is around 24th August 😊

Congratulations @BoodifulGoose on the scan!!

Welcome @Marmaladebear to the chatty thread! ☺️ And congratulations 🎉

I'm 6+3 today and the nausea has hit big time over the last few days, it's quite bad in the evenings just got to eat my way out of it 🙈!

Anyone else getting a sour taste in their mouth? Nothing seems to kill it at the minute.

Createcomet · 17/12/2022 16:09

So I'm 6 weeks and tomorrow I'm heading home to Wales, 6 hours away, to see my mum and the rest of my family. My stepdads dad died suddenly a few weeks ago and it's funeral on Wednesday 😭

I think I'm going to tell them that I'm pregnant. It's my second child, we only want 2, and I may never get a chance to tell my mum face to face that I'm pregnant again (twice she's only found out because I phoned her crying because I was miscarrying....

Anyway, I feel Sooooooo nervous about telling them all. Like, it's going to suddenly be real if I tell them. For now, it doesn't feel real and I'm trying to get my head around it (was planned, but happened fast!)....If I tell them its going to be real!!! Ahhhhhh so scared! Anyone else told their family?

ChloeN · 17/12/2022 16:16

@Createcomet ive told my mum & dad, I FaceTimed them when I first got my positive test this time🤣 we’ve not told anyone else and don’t plan too for as long as we can hold out, hopefully closer to 20 weeks if we can

LMM91x · 17/12/2022 16:17

I was wondering why i’d had no notifications re people posting on the old threAd🤣🤣. Cant believe its number 3 and we aren’t even done with august due dates!!

@Createcomet oh god what a long drive !! I’ve told my mum - it’s my first and she was really happy but also underlying concern for me I think as she knows what I can get like (anxiety wise etc!!) it was a relief and I can text her moaning about my 6 week symptoms now 🤣 i would always say tell close family - it’s good news afterall xxxx

I agree, when I miscarried we didn't tell anyone and it was awful to have to phone mum and explain that I was pregnant, but that now i wasn't. I think I'll feel better if my mum knows, but I'm going to hold off telling my in laws (who are local) for 6 weeks or so I think.

LMM91x · 17/12/2022 16:23

@Createcomet oh yeah the in laws can totally wait - this is about me and my support system only 🤣🤣🤣 (hehe half joking..?)
We’ll tell the inlaws over christmas maybe after early scan but not wider family until 12 weeks. I’ve also told my best friend as I need her more than ever right now!xxxx

elarcoiris · 17/12/2022 16:38

Can’t believe we’re in to thread 3 already 😂
