@marleyandme pretty sure I had my rhesus jab in my thigh. I’d heard horror stories too, but it was fine - no different from a normal injection x

SnowL2021 · 18/12/2022 14:18

@buttercupbee great news 😊

TheBirdintheCave · 18/12/2022 14:32

Definitely panicking more now everyone is reporting measuring as they should be at their scans :/

LMM91x · 18/12/2022 14:44

@TheBirdintheCave I think plenty have said to that it was a few days / nearly a week off so I think there’s both here xxx

TheBirdintheCave · 18/12/2022 15:05

@LMM91x I've seen a few who had reasons for it, like late ovulation.

If it helps I was 10 days off at my 12 week scan last time, having been certain of ovulation timing. A fair amount of variation is normal and expected.

Sjw30 · 18/12/2022 15:17

Congratulations @buttercupbee xx

TheBirdintheCave · 18/12/2022 15:18

@AnnieApple123 That's interesting to hear!

Sorry everyone, I have moments where I feel better and then others where I panic again. I just want this baby so much 😭

LBF2020 · 18/12/2022 15:33

Congratulations @buttercupbee 🥳

This is potentially a REALLY stupid question... how is everyone working out that their due date might be later? I didn't track ovulation (other than via the flo app) and my LMP started 2nd nov putting me at 6 +4. I have my scan next Saturday so trying to be prepared in case I am behind.. I logged when I DTD, so potentially I could be a week or so behind.. is that right? I feel like I might be getting confused over something obvious 🤣

LMM91x · 18/12/2022 15:38

@LBF2020 i think it’s peoples scans that are telling them this? 🤣🤣 cos baby is measuring differently to last period date that is the go to xxx

LMM91x · 18/12/2022 15:39

I think anyway 🤣🤣🤣

AnnieApple123 · 18/12/2022 15:40

@LBF2020 Not at all a stupid question. If you weren’t tracking ovulation, quite a lot of variation is possible. LMP dates are based on a textbook day 14 ovulation which lots of us don’t have.

We had DS birthday party today and omg so glad my friends helped me with everything! The fatigue! I just felt like I needed to be sitting constantly :(

Alpacabag22 · 18/12/2022 16:24

Hi @buttercupbee - think we're due date twins! I had my scan yesterday, measuring 6 wks 3 days abd due August 9th too. A few days behind what my app was saying but sonographer said that's very common at this stage and wasn't concerned. So trying not to worry on that front. And it's lovely to have a video of heartbeat flickering on my phone.

Nausea been hitting me hard this week - getting pretty fed up of eating toast! Anyone else also getting a really dry mouth and mouth ulcers?

AnnieApple123 · 18/12/2022 16:26

@sally16 Yes this is me too. I end up feeling so guilty and lazy, which I know I shouldn’t. Our bodies are doing so much, creating a whole new human being. Hope the party went well. Was it his third? All being well, I’ll be seven months when DS turns three and I’m afraid I’ve already been thinking about how I can do the bare minimum!

MinnieFirstTimeMum · 18/12/2022 16:45

Placemark 😊

TheBirdintheCave · 18/12/2022 16:45

Augh. Now the midwives have moved my booking in appointment to the 12th of January 😭 I'm not doing anything baby related at all next week. I went from having a scan on Tuesday and a booking in appointment on Friday to nothing at all 😭 I hate myself. The stupid spotting has ruined everything.

elarcoiris · 18/12/2022 17:00

Has anyone else found their skin has been really bad since finding out they were pregnant? It’s the only thing I can connect it to as literally nothing else has changed!

Has my booking appointment yesterday - lasted about an hour as they asked lots of questions about my last birth (60 hour labour resulting in an unplanned c section) but otherwise all pretty straightforward. Has anyone else had theirs yet?

I went to my normal weights class at the gym this morning and found it so much harder than usual. Feel like I’m getting weaker already and was nearly sick a couple of times. Determined to keep it up as stopped all exercise in the first trimester last time as I felt so rough and was then really difficult to get back into the habit again, but man that was hard!

Sjw30 · 18/12/2022 17:01

I’m sorry you’re struggling @TheBirdintheCave 💗

sally16 · 18/12/2022 17:03

@AnnieApple123 yess 3rd birthday! Can't believe he's 3!!
Oh well this year I'd already planned to use a venue that closed to the party only so was already minimal work as didn't need to even look for my child as I knew he couldn't get out 😂
He's a bit of a flight risk but everyone knows so anytime they seen me looking someone always had eyes on him 🤣

AnnieApple123 · 18/12/2022 17:05

Sorry to hear this @TheBirdintheCave and that you’re struggling so. When do you get to talk to perinatal mental health? I’m still umming and ahhing over whether to book back in with my therapist or leave it until after my 12 week scan.

TheBirdintheCave · 18/12/2022 17:06

@AnnieApple123 No idea, probably never knowing the NHS :(

AnnieApple123 · 18/12/2022 17:08

@sally16 Was it a soft play? We’ve so far never done a proper party. The first year restrictions didn’t allow it and this year we just had a small family gathering hosted at my parents’ house. I’m wondering how long we can get away with this! He likely won’t start nursery until Jan ‘24 now with the baby coming.

AnnieApple123 · 18/12/2022 17:10

TheBirdintheCave · 18/12/2022 17:06

With a pregnancy referral you’d hope they’d move fairly fast. Can’t really leave you waiting 9+ months!

TheBirdintheCave · 18/12/2022 17:15

@AnnieApple123 Haha, right?? I reckon it would at least be a couple of months which will render it all pointless anyway as the baby will likely be gone by then.
