Starting a new thread due to last one being full. Such a valuable place to share our journey! Not going to tag anyone in case they don't want to be tagged.

Marching towards or in the beginning of the second trimester!

I've been for a private scan today and it was wonderful! Wanted some reassurance as I was so poorly with covid. Also got a cheeky potty shot which I know is a bit early at 13+6 but I think it's quite obvious 💙 let me know what you think!! Little monkey stood on their head 😂

Checking in!
Week 14 and finally feeling energetic 🙌🏻

chardaboo · 04/06/2022 15:29

New here 😊 I am 10 weeks and went for another private scan today to curb some anxious feelings and feeling a lot better now thankfully.

they moved my due date to 30th Dec from it being 29th at previous scan and the NHS so far have it as the 27th. The lady told me that it can change up to the 12 week NHS scan an then that one is the final one.

the 12 weeks is dragging in for me - I found out when I was 7+3. This is my first so it's all very new to me 😊

Checking in!

fab scan pics @AG96 💙

Is anyone suffering with terrible hayfever and what is everyone using? I usually use prescribed strong antihistamine but don’t think it’s pregnancy safe so open to any ideas please 🙏🏼

AG96 · 04/06/2022 15:36

@chardaboo lovely scan pic! My date has been moved constantly. Started at 29/11 then 11/12. Then at dating 5/12 and today's scan 4/12 😂 babies come when they're ready though so who knows!
Also my first and just going with the flow of this crazy journey. So many highs and lows already

@PinkFizz1 my consultant said I can take cetirizine antihistamines. I suffer from hayfever and eczema so it helps with the itching and I've taken them every night for the last 2-3 weeks

Thank you for setting us up @AG96 fab photo of your little one! How exciting!

Sdoubleyou · 04/06/2022 16:37

Thank you for starting a new thread! It's so lovely seeing all the beautiful scans ❤️❤️

chardaboo · 04/06/2022 16:40

@AG96 thank you ! yours are good too ! aw that's funny yours have been so varied. mines have only been out by a few days but looking forward to getting the NHS one but like you say they will come when they are ready - I'm hoping I am early haha. my symptoms are starting to get a bit better except for the insomnia

MrsWindrush · 04/06/2022 16:40

Is anyone starting to think about maternity clothes yet?? Seems ridiculously early (am only 10+2 atm) but was wearing my sweaty Betty running leggings at parkrun this morning and they’re starting to feel uncomfortably tight around the tummy! Maybe getting a pair a size up is the way to go at least for the next few months…?

Chanel05 · 04/06/2022 16:47

Checking in! 11 weeks today and my dating scan is in 11 days.

@MrsWindrush I need to crack out the maternity leggings now from the loft because my clothes are just feeling too tight.

Wanderlust16 · 04/06/2022 16:53

I’ve got an appointment to start getting measured for a maternity bra. Im 12+5 and I’m finding the evening bloat is a challenge so I’m beginning to think about more floaty outfits before I go full maternity! I might change my mind next week though haha!

Jampot36 · 04/06/2022 17:00

@chardaboo @AG96 thanks for sharing your scan pics, they're both so lovely!

Ive had a lazy day, late night thursday and shopping yesterday has wiped me so came back from hairdresser and had a nap!

@MrsWindrush i got a size up leggings, normally a small but got medium, h&m £20 jobs, didnt want to spend loads but they are so much more comfy.

AG96 · 04/06/2022 17:11

I don't have any maternity clothes but bought some leggings that are a size bigger which is accommodating bump/bloat atm. For work I'm still wearing the same clothes but I'm plus size so my preference has always been baggy clothes. Had to untie the string on my trousers though lol.

Got my last blood thinning injection tonight. Definitely will not be missing them!

Thanks for the new thread!

Husband is desperate for a last minute holiday this month, so I'm looking for maternity swimwear just now (just in case my supermarket purchase fails me). Also have some old boxy sundresses that I hope will do the job, but definitely needing as few summer updates.

Jampot36 · 04/06/2022 17:47

Is it normal to get weird sharp pains still? Not had them for a while but started up again today. No bleeding and not so bad I'd call midwife but noticable little sharp pains that seem to come and go, never last longer than a couple of seconds...is this still muscle stretching?

LolaJ87 · 04/06/2022 18:05

@AG96 thanks for starting a new thread! What a lovely clear scan as well - very early to find out the gender but that’s certainly looking unmistakable 🤣💙

@chardaboo the first trimester does drag but how lovely to get such a proper look at your baby now! I found out at 3+6 and the last couple of months have been the slowest and most anxiety inducing of my life.

chardaboo · 04/06/2022 18:23

@LolaJ87 aw did you ! I would definitely have been much worse if I found out that early ! yeah I feel much better today after seeing such a difference in the scan. I never thought I would be as bad with worry, hopefully after 12 weeks it will be less anxiety 😊

baby2in2022 · 04/06/2022 18:23

Hope everyone is doing ok. Just marking my place. We moved house on Wednesday and things are crazy. I'm so tired. Will catch up properly soon xx

Amphibian94 · 04/06/2022 18:32

Thanks for starting the new thread!

I totally caved and have booked a scan for before holiday. It says that I should be 16 weeks though and I will only be 15+6... do you think 1 day will make a difference?! Figured I would just tell them I'm 16 lol.

BuchananBaby · 04/06/2022 18:45

Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend just placemarking 😁 I am 14+5 and I thought the first trimester tiredness would be gone by now but apparently not I am absolutely shattered 24/7 😩

@MrsWindrush I have had to move to leggings the last few days and not planning on coming out of them anytime soon, I went for £10 h&m ones just need to go buy a few more now 😂

@AG96 that looks conclusive to me 🙈💙

MrsN3 · 04/06/2022 19:12

Hey everyone, lovely to hear how everyone is getting on…. Went to my nhs scan Monday and baby was a right stubborn one- they couldn’t check the fluid behind the neck for the syndromes which is a shame and due date is moved earlier to 4th dec which is exciting!
Are people finding out gender of bubbas or not? just for fun any ideas what this little one (13wks1day) could be? ❤️ Stay well ladies

@Tofu35 Ooo, where you planning on going? 😁

@Jampot36 I've been having more cramping again. It slowed down but picked up again in the last week. Also have felt a pulling sharper pain if I've moved fast or funny. Think everything is shifting and growing so much. From first trimester to second trimester it starts moving out of the pelvic area and upward

@Amphibian94 do they say 16 for a specific reason? Is it a sex scan? I think one day would only be mm's in difference so hopefully shouldn't matter!

@LolaJ87 @BuchananBaby eeep 😁💙 MIL said "you sure it wasn't the cord" but it was a pretty clear lil winky 😂😂

MrsN3 · 04/06/2022 19:15

@BuchananBaby Leggings and dresses are the way forward- nothing tight feels right at all- I’m considering ordering some from love leggings as they have a variety of styles for decent prices!

Mommabear20 · 04/06/2022 19:32

Thanks for the new thread!
I'm 13+3 today so very nearly into second trimester!
Nausea is slowly going, am down to 2 or sometimes 1 antisickness Tablet a day now instead of 3.
Still struggling alot with exhaustion but think that's just my life now, pregnant or not 🤣

RhiRhi1996 · 04/06/2022 19:42

I agree with it dragging until the 12 week dating scan, I found out at 4 weeks , so much waiting & worrying! I've got another early scan tomorrow for reassurance (11 weeks) then still a whole 2 more weeks to wait for my NHS scan!

I have a feeling I won't ever stop worrying about miscarriage/ something going wrong, even after the high risk first trimester ends! 😬
