Aha found it! Thanks@Annabell1

TowerStork · 12/02/2022 20:10

Just back from the supermarket. I walked home with the shopping in a backback. I didn't think it was heavy, but I had pains shooting out of me in all directions - my bum, shoulders, and even my toes. Thankfully, the walk is short. I'm 20 weeks and didn't really have symptoms before this, but everything has stepped up a few levels in recent days.

Thanks for the new thread!

AlbatrossSociety · 12/02/2022 20:58

Thanks for starting a new thread!!

@beansprout55 I actually got stretch marks on my boobs at like 7 weeks pregnant and they're now gone. I kind of thought once they were there that was it so I was gutted to have them so early on but as I say they've completely gone now! It's made me feel a bit better about other stretch marks which will almost certainly be coming my way.

My nipples are also the things causing me the most trouble, they're so painful and the skin just feels really weird? I have found applying nipple balm regularly to be really helpful but I don't like the way they look anymore. It's just so many changes to adjust to.

I only ever feel baby kick right down, nearly in my pelvis. My placenta is at the front though so sure I'll feel a bigger range as baby grows. Does anyone else find that bump changes massively from day to day? Yesterday my bump was much smaller than usual and today its somewhere in the middle!

beansprout55 · 12/02/2022 21:21

Gosh thread 8!

@AlbatrossSociety that's interesting that they came and went. I fully expect to have them, and I think I'm prepared..... 🙄 But having them so early on before my boobs will be at their biggest has made me worry I'll be plastered in them. I shouldn't care really and I don't think I will be bothered by them once the little guy is here. I suppose it's just all part of coming to terms with the body changes as this is my first pregnancy. Sigh.

@Vimto1991 I too have been lathering myself in oil since they came! No idea if it will help, but at least I'll know I tried.

mrkb · 12/02/2022 21:31

Thanks for the tag! Can't believe it's thread 8 already - we have to be the chattiest due group ever??

24 weeks tomorrow and just saw baby move on the outside for the first time! DH also felt her for the first time last night too. I have an anterior placenta so even though I've been feeling her for a few weeks now it's not been noticeable to others. Very exciting to have finally been able to share her little movements with DH :)

ChildOfFriday · 12/02/2022 21:33

Hello! Thanks for the new thread and the tag @Annabell1 Smile

We have had a baby-oriented day at John Lewis trying out prams and looking at car seats, etc. Still lots of decisions to make and we only bought some baby clothes today but we feel a lot more informed!

Roxystar23 · 12/02/2022 21:42

Thanks for the tag @Annabell1 :)

I’m also suffering with nipple pain - it sometimes feels like they are on fire (usually in the middle of the night) but also if I am outside and it’s cold - it’s like my nipples freeze up and when they are defrosting that’s when I get the pain. 🥴

So lovely to hear that some partners are now starting to be able to feel the babies movements. I know I’m not used to feeling the movements myself yet - my partner can’t help but giggle each time (I think in disbelief & pure joy).

EarlGreywithLemon · 12/02/2022 21:52

Thank you so much for the tag and new thread @Annabell1!
22 weeks here and, after two weeks’ respite, the nausea is back. This time it came with a five day headache that has only just eased today. Glad I’m seeing the midwife so she can check me over on Tuesday.

GrowBabyGrow · 12/02/2022 21:58

Thank you for starting the new thread @Annabell1!

I'm so relieved to read I'm not alone on the nip pain. When it's cold like it was today they feel so so sore!

unknownscot · 12/02/2022 22:21

Thanks for the tag

Clueless22 · 12/02/2022 22:24

Thanks for the add @Annabell1 😀

Annabell1 · 12/02/2022 23:10

Lovely to see everyone!
I'm also 22 weeks today and apparently she is about the size of an ear of corn and has a layer of fine hair just like corn silk. Interesting 😂 I'm also joining the painful nipple club.

Number 8! Wow dont see any other months having this many groups. We are on a roll

Is anyone getting rib pain or pain under ribs

Btw @invisibledragon thanks for sharing that video

beansprout55 · 13/02/2022 00:11

I am @MrsNT! I'm so so uncomfortable with it today. Wish I could lay a super hot water bottle across my abdomen but don't want to overheat baby.

hellointhere · 13/02/2022 02:43

Thanks for tagging me!

I have stretch marks from weight gain in my teens but they've faded now they don't bother me, it's likely I'll get them again but I am applying Shea butter every day and I love it. At first thought it smelt bad, now I'm addicted. I'm sometimes struggling with my changing body and looking after my skin is helping a lot.

Turniptracker · 13/02/2022 07:39

@ChildOfFriday we had a great session too! Feel so much less panicky now we've had a proper informed chat about some of the important purchases and found some answers to my stupid questions too. But concerned we fell in love with the first pan they showed us - the joolz aer, but I love how simple and light it is!! Did you see any you were particularly taken with?

Letsbekindplease · 13/02/2022 08:23

I had an embarrassing situation this morning. Wonder if anyone else has had it. Sneezing / coughing then peeing Shock. I wouldn’t say my bladder went back to normal after baby no.1, but this time around I am getting caught out short before needing the toilet. I’m going to have to start wearing a product when out and about because this morning it was like a full on pee after a sneeze ! I hope this is only whilst pregnant and not afterwards because that is worrying!!! Anyone else lol??

MrsTrue · 13/02/2022 08:38

@Letsbekindplease - oh, sounds horrible. I've not experienced it myself (yet anyway... I've heard it's so so common!) but I wonder if you've you heard of Aniball??? I've heard brilliant things about it for preparing for birth but I think it can also be used to help with pelvic floor strength to avoid embarrassing leaks!! It is a bit costly but I've bought one to use in the later stages of the third trimester as I'll try anything to avoid horrible tears and/or a c section! I assume there are other similar products out there too that help strengthen those muscles, I think we just don't talk about them much!!

MrsNT · 13/02/2022 08:40

@beansprout55 yesss thats how it feels.constant nagging

mrkb · 13/02/2022 08:45

@MrsNT @beansprout55 I'm having pain in/under my ribs. Feels like something is squashed there (which presumably it actually is!) and a weird tightness. I find it wakes me up in the night sometimes too!

Is anyone else having trouble not sleeping on their back? I swear I never slept on my back before being pregnant and no matter what I do/how many pillows I place I wake up multiple times throughout the night on my back. I know we shouldn't worry too much until later but it's also becoming quite uncomfortable too (though maybe that's psychosomatic because I know we're not supposed to sleep on ours backs haha)
