Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

Thanks for making @Carolinesyear

11 weeks today, definitely have a bit of a bump but certainly don't have "the glow" yet unless it's just sweaty looking, oily skin 😂

charley39 · 09/09/2021 18:29

12 weeks today!
Definitely not glowing!
Definite bump but second baby and have been feeling the odd movements!

GeorgiaMcGraw · 09/09/2021 18:32

Thanks for starting this Caroline! Hello all! I'm somewhere between 9 and 10 weeks and very nervous, have a private scan on Saturday. Definitely more bloated than glowing right now!

BaaBaaEmily · 09/09/2021 18:51

Thanks for the new thread! I'm 11 weeks, I'm sure I can feel the odd movement too!

Pleasedontworry · 09/09/2021 18:57

I’m 11+4 today I think, still very sick and off work with hyperemesis - telling the in laws this weekend so contemplating having a private scan tomorrow as even though I have my dating scan next week, just in case… I’m just nervous 🙈 they live about an hour away, seeing them this weekend and with the sickness not really sure I can postpone telling them.

Cxjai792 · 09/09/2021 19:02

I’m somewhere between 10 or 11 weeks. Not glowing just a hot sweaty mess and sickness has made a return. Have had the last two days off work because of it! Really thought I was over the worst

Dyra · 09/09/2021 19:28

Thanks for the new thread @Carolinesyear. 11+2 today. Fatigue is gradually going which is nice. I think there's a bit of a bump starting. That or a food baby has also formed. A food baby that might have occasional movements. As for the "glow"....... well..... I'm still waiting for that to appear from my first pregnancy. Only the best part of three years late now.

heywhatswrongwitu · 09/09/2021 22:28

I'm just in the second trimester, yay! Still feel like crap though! Had 12 week scan today and all looked good, so relieved - I had no idea how stressed I was about it.

Derbee · 09/09/2021 22:36

11 weeks today, and just started cyclizine for my nausea and vomiting. Ate and kept down my first meal in over a week!

11 weeks today, and counting down to scan next Friday.

Hope everyone is managing ok!

Derbee · 09/09/2021 22:37

And repeating myself, so maybe baby brain is starting? Ooops

Nervyy · 09/09/2021 22:42

@Carolinesyear thanks for making this new thread ☺️
I'm currently 10+3 - very tired, VERY bloated (don't think it's a bump but it's nice to imagine haha) and living with a kind of 'background nausea'. I know I'm lucky not to be vomming all the time but I still feel pretty rubbish physically on a day to day.
Also not sleeping great, waking up to pee alllllll the time. I've also been getting headaches everyday the last few days.

Had my booking apt with the midwife on Monday which was great and I got my date for my 12 week scan - September 22nd 🥰
All being well ❤️🤞🏻 I will be around 12+2 but also excited for definite clarification on dates etc.

Really want to book a scan for this weekend as I am so so keen to see baby having a wriggle around again, but trying to be patient!!

Hope everyone is well ❤️🤞🏻 x

Countingchicks · 09/09/2021 23:01

I'm just over twelve weeks now, sickness actually got worse in the last week! Scan on Monday. Good to see you're doing well @Twinkles18

Twinkles18 · 09/09/2021 23:08

Iv been thinking about you @Countingchicks glad you're keeping well too 🥰 my scans also Monday! Exciting 💘
Don't tell me that about your sickness lol I been nauseous since finding out but haven't actually been sick just the random estate things make me gag..a bit like yourself @Nervyy although tonight going up to bed I was gagging for no reason and vomited, hoping it's just from eating too much chocolate lol

Countingchicks · 09/09/2021 23:13

@Twinkles18 i find the more often I eat the better!

Kipkay35 · 10/09/2021 07:49

Hi everyone. Thanks for making the new thread. 12+6 today and finally told my family. My sister is also pregnant! She's 8 weeks and was waiting to tell us but couldn't keep it in when I told them my news. She had sex once without her coil and got pregnant 😂16 months for us. So exciting, it finally feels real!

Carolinesyear · 10/09/2021 11:43

@Nervyy we are the same dates, I'm roughly 10+3. I have had two scans already and booked in for one on Sunday as I couldn't wait for the nhs one at 13 weeks. I'm so so nervous, I don't have many symptoms other than the occasional cramp and lack of appetite for things I used to enjoy. I'm definitely feeling bloated, headachey and tired but not sleeping as well as I did in those very early weeks. My baby apparently is the size of a strawberry 🍓 but womb the size of a grapefruit. This is my first pregnancy and I'm 32. I feel my placenta has taken over as I havnt had any brown spotting for over two weeks!

@Carolinesyear Hi date twin! Haha.
I am also a natural worrier and this is my first pregnancy so I have also booked a scan for Sunday! 🤣 I know I said I was trying to be patient but naff it, I miss seeing my baby and want to know that they're okay! ❤️🤞🏻
What time is your scan? Mine is just after 2pm. So excited but also nervous.
Been struggling with lower backache today which is new.
Glad to hear you're not feeling too rubbishy and the spotting has tailed off!! Bet that's a weight off your mind xx

ChewChewPanda · 10/09/2021 14:04

Ah hi everyone. I missed the earlier thread but I am due baby #2 at the end of March and haven’t really told anyone but parents so I can’t do much moaning about my horrible morning sickness - so much worse than last time. I also look about 20 weeks pregnant practically overnight!

bubblybrit · 10/09/2021 19:00

Hope everyone is doing well. Thanks for the new thread @Carolinesyear.

I’m hoping that the fatigue lessens soon as I’m really struggling to get through the days at work. Nausea is subsiding which is positive though.

Going for the NIPT tomorrow so another opportunity to see baby. I’ve had two private scans already so just praying that everything is still ok. Unsure whether to find out the sex. I know my DH would like to know but I’m on the fence. Found out with my 1st so part of me would like a surprise this time but then I enjoyed knowing the last time and felt as if it helped me bond with ‘her’. What you guys planning to do?

Dyra · 10/09/2021 20:16

Good luck with your NIPT tomorrow @bubblybrit. I won't be finding out. It's honestly one of my favourite moments of my life when DH told me what we had when DD was born. Even if he had to tell me twice before it sunk in. Then again my bonding with my bump consisted of regular poking of errant hands and feet and calling her "spawn".

Welcome @ChewChewPanda (great username!). How old is your first?

Have a great time seeing your babies on Sunday @Carolinesyear and @Nervyy.

One pregnancy symptom has appeared that I swear I didn't get until later on last time. Really vivid dreams. Fortunately they've all been OK so far, but still a rollercoaster of emotions.

bubblybrit · 10/09/2021 20:39

Thanks @Dyra. I’m so undecided. We won’t be having any more DC so this will be my last chance for a ‘surprise’ but my DH has his heart set on finding out 😢 DH used to call DD ‘alien’ when she poked and prodded as it reminded him of the famous scene in Alien lol 😂

GeorgiaMcGraw · 10/09/2021 23:13

Good luck everyone getting tests and scans this weekend. I've got a private scan tomorrow, should be 10 weeks. No reason for anything to be wrong but after the mmc, I assume the worst. I do hate being such a worrier!

bubblepond · 11/09/2021 06:51

@GeorgiaMcGraw good luck with your scan today!

GeorgiaMcGraw · 11/09/2021 09:37

Thanks @bubblepond. I was so nervous but the scan went well, measured 9+6 and we could see the baby's arms and legs moving!

bubblybrit · 11/09/2021 14:22

Brilliant news @GeorgiaMcGraw. So glad your scan went well!
