Hi everyone made a new thread for all the ladies due end of March beginning of April 2022. We are coming to the end of the first trimester, some of you have already crossed that important milestone! Some are starting to get bumps and sickness could be leaving, has anyone got that 'glow' yet... fat chance

Hi Everone.
Do you mind if i join?
Currently 11+3 with our rainbow baby after 2 MCs in the last year.
My 12 week scan is a week tomorrow and my anxiety is sky high.
Ive had a very symptom free pregnancy so far which doesnt help my anxiety as i constantly feel like something has gone wrong.
I have had a scan at 6weeks and 9weeks and seen a healthy baby but i just cant shake this anxiety off. 😫

Nicmarie · 13/09/2021 20:21

Hi all, first pregnancy and at 11+5 weeks, feeling quite emotional about the whole process and more anxious than I thought I would be. Also having bad migraines but have been told these should ease too. 12 week scan is on Thursday so hoping to have my mind out at ease a bit. But just wanted to say hello x

Ania89 · 13/09/2021 21:23

@Scoaf I am sorry to hear about your losses. The anxiety is a nightmare. I am 10+5 and had two good scans already but seem to be unable to shake it off. I so want to enjoy this pregnancy but constantly worry that sth will go wrong. I am not sure whether there is anything we could do which would make this anxiety go away. Good luck at your scan tomorrow ! Mine is not until end of Spetmber which feels like forever…

Carolinesyear · 13/09/2021 21:50

Thanks everyone!
@Ania89 my scan is on the 27th so two weeks today!
Thanks for thinking of me @GeorgiaMcGraw it was a nerve racking wait and I was convinced they'd find something wrong but all good thank god and no sign of spotting.
@nervy any more private scans planned? I might do a 4d one at 16 weeks and find out the sex!
Hi @Scoaf and @Nicmarie I hope this thread helps with anxiety, I definitely feel better sharing!
Anyone reading any good maternity or baby books or can recommend one. I've not got any however I am reading the novel 'puffball' which is about a pregnant woman and finding it really interesting

Has anybody had a uti in peegnancy? Feeling a bit anxious now. I had my first midwife appointment one week ago, and she's just phoned up to say I've got a UTI. Weirdly, I was desperate for lemon water for a few days before that and felt a bit off, but nothing obvious, feel fine now. Have been using Multigyn gel (which prevents/treats yeast and UTIs and is pg safe) for a couple weeks on and off, so don't know if that might have helped take the edge off. Should be getting antibiotics today, and I know it's not a big deal but I feel upset and nervous. Anybody else had this?

charley39 · 14/09/2021 11:22

@GeorgiaMcGraw I had to have antibiotics twice for UTI’s in my last pregnancy and everything was fine. It’s much preferred to treat them as they can turn more serious in pregnancy untreated.
They are monitoring my urine closer this time around as I am prone to UTI’s and I’m trying to keep on top of drinking plenty of water and cranberry juice at the first sight of one!

GeorgiaMcGraw · 14/09/2021 12:11

@charley39 thank you, that's really reassuring. Good job they're on "wee watch" for you then, much better to catch it early I suppose!

Scoaf · 14/09/2021 12:59

@Ania89
Ah thankyou...
I dont think the anxiety will ever go. Its just such a long time to wait when not knowing whats going on.
My scan is a week today. Bloody wish it was today 🤣

Scoaf · 14/09/2021 13:01

@Carolinesyear
Thanks for your mesage.
I hope the 2 weeks go quick for you.
Mine is a week today and it feels like the longest week ever.

bubblepond · 14/09/2021 14:13

Is anyone else completely exhausted still? I'm 12 weeks tomorrow and on my days off still can't seem to drag myself off the sofa! Normally I'm super active and can't sit still.
The above is despite sleeping 10-11 hours a night when work allows..

Good luck to everyone having scans this week!

Twinkles18 · 14/09/2021 15:55

@bubblepond I'm the same, totally exhausted..can't get through the day without a lunchtime nap and another sleep when I finish work 😂 good sign though, baby seems to be taking all our energy!

Had my booking scan yesterday, officially 12+1 today. Baby was amazing and healthy thankfully, seen its little wave and seemed so chilled out 🤍 dying to find out the gender now!

Amazing scan photo @Twinkles18 look at the little hand how cute!!

It looks like there’s a good nub on show, you could send it to the nub people on Facebook if you can’t wait?! They were accurate with my scan for my DD!

Twinkles18 · 14/09/2021 16:34

@Hayesdays oooh i might do that! Think it looks like a girl from the look of the nub but might send it over to them to confirm 🙊

Countingchicks · 14/09/2021 16:36

@Twinkles18 how lovely! I was just about to ask when your scan was. Had mine yesterday so I'm 12+5 now
