Hi! I found out I was pregnant nearly a week ago and wondering if anyone around the same due date (15th Jan 2022) would want to keep each other updated on symptoms etcSmile this is my first and I'm so excited!

@Confused678866 my dd was such a good sleeper. 5 weeks slept through. Sleeps 12 hours every night. Nothing fazes her.. so was a shock when he had colick. Didnt sleep, sick after every bottle. Realised it was dairy allergy.. then soya.. so had dietician referral. Finally got his formula right. Then weaning started and multiple things would make him sick, eczema etc. Poor little boy. He is doing well now.

Yes it was perfect. Well we are due to go to ireland for a week in august to see dh family (hes from there) but not sure on travel restrictions and things so will have to see if it still goes ahead.

Yes I am excited. My sister is doing with me to. We want to start our own bookkeeping business after this. That's our goal. Something to work towards.

When do you go is it this weekend? I bet you cant wait xx

Confused678866 · 23/06/2021 06:41

@Snoopy28x Oh wow, she's a brilliant sleeper then!
Ahh bless him, I know of little ones with the same sorts of allergies, must be hard! My little one suffered with colic but that soon got better but he was just a rubbish sleeper. When we started to wean him at 6 months, eczema started to appear. I suffer with eczema anyway but his was definitely food related. It's only recently started to call down.. he only really had it on his face bless him. He slept much better last night, no wake ups!

Ahh fingers crossed you get to go! That would be lovely 😊

Yes that's a fab idea. Definitely something to work towards. Amazing!

Yes, we go on Saturday. I am looking forward to it now, just got to get the next few days at work out of the way first! Xx

Snoopy28x · 23/06/2021 06:48

@Confused678866 yay for sleep! Mine sleep through and ds is still asleep. Me and dd were up early to see dh off to work.

Feeling tired and drained today, hopefully a few days of rest will help. Just got the pre school run to do this morning.. always stressful lol we live in a small village but it has 2 schools plus pre school and people come from everywhere so it's always manic with people, cars and bikes in the morning!

I have my dd stay and play at big school on friday 😫 I'm dreading sept but she cant wait.

Ooh not long to go. It's so nice to get away for a break. Did you say you have another scan before you go? My best friend is also expecting her 2nd she has her 12 week scan tomorrow. So keeping everything crossed for her xx

Confused678866 · 23/06/2021 08:21

@Snoopy28x Yes hopefully a few days rest will do you good, it sounds like just what you need.
Oh no that does sound very busy!! It's extremely busy where I live too.. I'm right by a big motorway so that's probably why.
I'm looking forward to holiday so I don't have my 60 mile per day commute to and from work, it becomes tiring!
Ahh I bet school comes around so quickly doesn't it 😭
Yes, we have a private scan on Friday afternoon so just hoping all is okay.
Ahh that's lovely, hope it all goes well for her! 🤞🏻 xx

Babyghirl · 23/06/2021 11:10

@snoopy28x
Been reading through the thread so sorry for what your going through, but to let you knw I'm on a thread ttc after a miscarriage if you ever want to pop over to it when you feel ready, I have had 4 miscarriages and a cp ttc num 1 hoping for a positive test soon and I'm being giving progesterone from a bfp 💚

Snoopy28x · 26/06/2021 08:43

@Confused678866 how are you doing? I hope your enjoying your holiday! How did your scan go yesterday?

Yes I bet the break from your travelling will be nice. It must be exhausting to do that every day!

We had my dd stay and play at big school yesterday, she loved it. Her teacher is so lovely and kind and gentle. I think dd will do well with her. Then the pre school said that ds can go in to look around next weds..! Then I got an email about dd graduation from pre school. That made me so emotional!!! I can't believe she will be starting school, I'm not ready for it. Or my little man going to pre school! 😪😪 lol

I am still feeling very up and down with hormones. Poor dh doesnt know if I'm gonna snap his head off or cry on him! I'm not usually a cryer. So finding it very annoying lol hoping things even out soon.

I'm going to help my sister start to decorate her house today, little project to keep me occupied and also gives me that little break from the kids xx

Snoopy28x · 26/06/2021 08:48

@Babyghirl thank you for your kind words x I think my ttc days are done. I will be 40 next month, I have 2 dc (which are currently scrapping over megablocks!). I think maybe my body is just finished with making babies. This is my 2nd mc in a row now since ds. I really hope your ttc journey is successful. Mc are such a horrible thing to experience physically and mentally.

How long did it take for your hormones to settle? This time I feel so up and down. I cry over any little thing or snap because I've got a really short fuse! Xx

Babyghirl · 26/06/2021 09:09

@snoopy28x
Please don't give up you will get your rainbow baby I knw someone who was 47 thought she was going through the menapose and she was pregnant, my moods where up and down but I think that was more grieving from sad to angry my last miscarriage took 3 weeks for a nagitive test, Im 38 was at the point of giving up but my feeling for a baby is to strong and a fear of not trying again cause nxt time could be my time I'm under the rmc and will have progesterone on my nxt bfp I knw its tough but you will get through it 💚

Snoopy28x · 26/06/2021 09:16

@Babyghirl I'm so sorry you've been through so much.. it's not fair. You are so strong to pick yourself up and try again. You really deserve your rainbow baby! Please keep me posted I'd love to follow your journey xx

The hospital rang me yesterday they did offer me a scan to check everything was gone, but I said I'm pretty sure I've passed it all. I am always a bit concerned about infection however. I had one 4 weeks after the birth of my dd, ended up bleeding so heavily I passed out and had to be taken by ambulance to a and e..! So very conscious of that!!

How long did you wait to dtd after? I'm really missing the closeness with Dh. It's been a long time because of the spotting that happened x

Confused678866 · 26/06/2021 09:35

@Snoopy28x Hey! Yes I'm okay thank you. Just about to set off on holiday. Scan went well thank you!

Ahh it all sounds lovely though, I'm sure they'll both enjoy their new little adventures 🥰 it must be very emotional when the little ones start school, I can't even think about it! 😭

Oh bless you, I hope you start to feel better soon and your hormones settle. I'm sure it won't be too long 🤞🏻

Oh that's fab, something to concentrate on. Hope it all goes well! Xx

Babyghirl · 26/06/2021 09:41

@snoopy28x
As soon as bleeding stopped we started to dtd again as cervix will be closed, just take a pregnancy test in two weeks time to c if it's nagitive, so sorry your going through it and try and enjoy your holiday as much as possible 💚

Snoopy28x · 26/06/2021 09:50

@Confused678866 have a fab holiday! I hope the weather is good for you.

Yes our house needs decorating to, dh is gonna do that when I pester him enough haha xx

Confused678866 · 27/06/2021 06:37

@Snoopy28x Thank you.. weather isn't so great this morning.. think it's going to be naff the first half of the week and then it's better the later part of the week! Will just have to find some things to do indoors. We've booked to go swimming and there's a soft play etc on the site so that should pass some time!

Our new house (if we ever get into it) will need decorating too! Xx

Snoopy28x · 01/07/2021 07:48

@Confused678866 sorry! I didnt get any notifications to say I had a message. Just came on to message you.

Hows your holiday? I hope the weathers perked up for you. Ooh I love swimming! I bet your ds loved soft play.

It's been a hectic week. We went for a long walk at the woods.. well got lost didnt we! Theres my sister on God trying to find our way back to the car, dd complaining shes bored and 2wants to go home.. me trying to explain shes only got 3 miles to walk back haha then ds deciding hes tired and wants mummy to give him a piggy back.. so 11k steps later and me exhausted from carting a 2 year old most of the way back.. we made it hahaha it was lovely and scenic and peaceful and we found lots of bugs and a crazy amount of slugs to look at! Yesterday ds had 2 hours trial at pre school, I couldnt get him out he loved it. So that is reassuring. Not sure I'm ready for him to go there and dd to go to school! I'm going to be a wreck in September.. sobbing at the school gates lol xx

Confused678866 · 01/07/2021 08:11

@Snoopy28x Holiday is going well thank you, just very busy and little one is pretty tired so we've been seeing some real tantrums! But we are enjoying it and the weather is so much better than the forecast said!

Haha oh wow that sounds a very busy eventful day! 😂 it's so hard isn't it when you have to carry them for a length of time! My little one lives walking but as soon as he's tired, that's it.. he wants to be picked up. Our stroller has been our saviour this week - he never usually likes to go in it but it's been in constant use.
Ahh glad he liked it, that's very reassuring for you! How often will he go to preschool? Xx

Snoopy28x · 01/07/2021 08:17

@Confused678866 oh that's great news! Yes it all gets overwhelming for them when they are seeing new things every day.

Yes mine is the same he loves walking but when hes done.. hes done and sits down. Or just stands still and wont move (a bit like our dog haha). We have a trike that he loves to go in, he got bored of the stroller very quickly but actually asks to sit in the trike which is good.

He will just start off 2 mornings a week. He is going to go for 2 more trial days while dd is still there. She loved showing off her little brother!

We have had real struggles with ds sleep the last week or so. He wont go down until 10pm.. wakes once in the night then up at 6am. Some days he will nap others he wont. I'm shattered!

Confused678866 · 01/07/2021 08:31

@Snoopy28x Yes and we're here with partners family and our 4 year old nephew so they're just very excitable together and he never knows when to give in when he's tired!

Yes we had a trike but he outgrew it very quickly because he's just so so tall!

Ahh that's good.. haha oh bless her! My little one loves nursery, just wish it didn't cost me so much!

Yes that sounds like mine this week... late at going to bed and wakes early. He usually wakes during the night but he's KO'd on holiday when he goes to sleep because he's got so much to catch up on! Xx

Snoopy28x · 01/07/2021 08:35

@Confused678866 bless you. Must be tiring for you!! How are you feeling? I hope your getting some rest!

Yes both mind are tall. This trike converts as he grows so he can cycle it himself when hes bigger. Which is good!

Aww it's nice he has another child to play with, I bet they both love it!

Debating another walk today, round the lake. Will bring the trike haha trying to get more active. Loose some weight.. which has stuck around since ds lol been on a mission sorting the house this week to getting organised.

Snoopy28x · 05/07/2021 07:23

@Confused678866 hey, how was the rest of your holiday? The weather perked up over the weekend so I hope it was the same for you to!

How are you doing? Xx

Confused678866 · 05/07/2021 07:30

@Snoopy28x Hey! Sorry I didn't see your last message.
Holiday was great thank you, really enjoyed it. The weather turned out to be pretty decent all week in the end! Most days the sun was out, I even came back with a tan! 😂

I'm good thank you. How are you? Xx

Snoopy28x · 05/07/2021 08:00

@Confused678866 ooh fabulous!

Yeah I'm good. Gone on a bit of a get fit mission. Dusted off my treadmill in the garage to use. Dd is ready for pre school but ds is still snoring!! Need to go and wake him up really, just having another cuppa lol x

Confused678866 · 05/07/2021 11:59

@Snoopy28x Oh that sounds fab! Well done you. I can't believe your little one was still snoring at 8am this morning! My little one slept amazingly on holiday but it was because of late nights and being exhausted and he actually slept in until 8am a couple of mornings.. but he's back to his 6-6:30am get ups now! 😂 xx

Snoopy28x · 05/07/2021 12:02

@Confused678866 well he hasnt been going to bed until 10pm-11pm the last week.. which is driving me a little crazy. As no break because then dd is up at 6am..! So trying to wear him out today. We went round to my friends on the way back from pre school and he was running about playing in her garden. Then came home and hes been pottering about. Now hes napping. Then gonna walk him back up to get dd later. So hoping lots of walking does the trick! X

Confused678866 · 05/07/2021 12:05

@Snoopy28x Ahh I see.. yeah it's tough isn't it when they don't go up to bed until late because you just don't get a break do you.
Sounds like you're well on your way to wearing him out for later! 🤞🏻 xx

Snoopy28x · 16/07/2021 22:37

Hey! How are you doing? Sorry it's been a hectic week! It was my dd pre school graduation, plus sorting stuff for her starting school. Uniform is a minefield ha then was ds 2nd birthday. Time flies by.
