Hi! I found out I was pregnant nearly a week ago and wondering if anyone around the same due date (15th Jan 2022) would want to keep each other updated on symptoms etcSmile this is my first and I'm so excited!

He was 3 days over. Imagine if he was 2 weeks over!!! Makes your eyes water haha yeah that's what scares me lol it seems once my waters go baby seems to immediately want to come out.

Would you choose a section this time or wait and see if you can delivery naturally? Have you told many people yet? X

Confused678866 · 26/05/2021 19:09

@Snoopy28x Haha oh gosh 😬 imagine!! It's crazy how they're all so different. Mine was 11 days over and 3lbs lighter than yours! 😂
Wow at least they don't keep you hanging around though!

I'd love to go into labour naturally next time around but judging by last tome, it just doesn't happen with me! I got to 8 days over, reduced movements set in and they decided it was best to induce me.. but that was a complete fail after 3 days so it was like my body just didn't want to labour! So if I could choose, I'd have a natural birth, no induction (it was horrendous) and a c-section if I had to. I'd like to avoid a section as I found the recovery hard and it would be even harder next time with already having a toddler. I think I'd ask if I could wait until 12 days over, if I haven't gone into labour naturally then I'll have a section! X

Snoopy28x · 27/05/2021 07:07

@Confused678866 hopefully you'll get the chance to try naturally. I can imagine that it would be hard recovering from a c section with a toddler and baby! Let's hope we both avoid that option hey!

Hows your symptoms? I get soooooo tired by 2pm. It's like my eye lids are like lead weights!! I'm struggling to sleep, I'm alright until 4am then I wake up needing a wee. Then cant get back to sleep and end up tossing and turning until my dh alarm goes off at 6am.

I over did it yesterday, I suffer with SPD with my previous pregnancies, yesterday I was cleaning the house (had to keep having a rest haha) and I think the hoovering finished me off. Last night I had that familiar twinge in my pelvis 😩 I'm dreading it x

Confused678866 · 27/05/2021 18:35

@Snoopy28x Yes I really would like to at least try! 🤞🏻

I'm not too bad symptom wise, they seem to come and go. I'm definitely very tired, sore boobs! Also the same as you with the sleep thing.. I wake up at around 4ish and I struggle to get back to sleep. My little boy is poorly at the moment so he's up through the night and then bang on 5am but I seem to be awake before then! It's hard with working all week too and driving a 60 mile round trip 🥴

Oh no, I remember hearing from other ladies before about SPD, it doesn't sound very nice! Let's hope you don't suffer so badly this time around 🤞🏻

Have you got your booking appointment with midwife yet? Xx

Snoopy28x · 27/05/2021 19:54

Oh no! Poorly toddlers are no fun. My daughter never gets fazed with illnesses. She insists shes fine and soldiers on, doesnt affect her sleep. My little boy.... full on little man flu! He wont sleep.. clingy.. cries.. lol

Wow 60 mile round trip! That sounds rough going. I'm very lucky to be a sahm, I got made redundant at the end of my first pregnancy and we decided until they are at pre school I would stay home. I'm doing (trying) to do an accountancy course but it's hard with the tiredness and brain fog. So it's taken a back burner for a little bit until I can concentrate. Hopefully then I can work from home.

I've got my booking appointment next week. I wasnt sure on dates as my periods were very irregular and this was a surprise! I had an early scan which puts me about 7 weeks now. Have you got yours yet? X

Confused678866 · 27/05/2021 20:19

@Snoopy28x Oh no he's very happy bless him and he does soldier on but he's got the worst cough I've ever heard (think he's got a chest infection) so as he as he lays down, he just coughs constantly!

Yeah it's pretty hard going and I do that 4 days per week. Ahh that's good though, it's nice to be able to stay at home with them! I'd probably do the same for a while if I was made redundant.. I'm just seeing it through as it's a decent job and I've been there for years. The nursery fees are ridiculous but I just grin and bare it every month.
Ooh that's a good idea though, getting yourself a qualification while being at home, sounds good to me!

No it's all been very slow over here! Handed forms into GP 3 weeks ago, they were sent over to midwife a week later.. called them on Monday and she said they have my forms but they're working their way through them so hopefully I hear something soon. I'll just chase next week.
Ahh lovely that you've had a scan!! My private scan is booked in for 8th June so I'd be 8+3 going from my LMP.
Ooooh what a lovely surprise though!! 🥰 xx

Snoopy28x · 27/05/2021 20:33

Ooh exciting!! It's so reassuring to see that little heart beating. Yes it is a lovely surprise and when I see my 2 playing with their cousins it makes me excited for the future.

That's rubbish, I had to register my pregnancy online which took me a while to find. Keep chasing them, it's nice knowing when you've got something booked in, it feels like things are actually happening.

I get so bloated by the evening, I look 6 months gone haha

Confused678866 · 27/05/2021 21:10

@Snoopy28x Yes I'm definitely looking for that reassurance! 🤞🏻
Ahh yes I bet! 🥰

Yeah that's it, I just want the appointment as it feels like I have something to keep focussed on and then the weeks will roll by.. I will chase again next week if I haven't heard anything.

Confused678866 · 27/05/2021 21:10

@Snoopy28x Haha and yes, I'm so bloated in the evenings too it's crazy.. but I just look chunky around my middle 😂 xx

bethabean · 01/06/2021 09:51

Hi all! My morning sickness has really started the past couple of days. No throwing up but constant nausea which is horrible. I also look bigger already which is surprising! Think food aversions are coming into play now too. How's everyone else doing?

OP posts:
Snoopy28x · 01/06/2021 10:52

Good morning! Luckily.. so far no sickness!! I get so bloated by the end of the day I look about 6 months haha I'm super super Thirsty. I drank 3l yesterday and still wake up dry mouthed lol

Have you got your booking app yet? I have mine this thursday x

bethabean · 01/06/2021 15:54

Lucky! Hopefully you might not get any sickness🤞🏼 I'm with you looking 6 monthsGrin

No I haven't got my bookings appointment yet! Are you looking forward to it? I registered my pregnancy but haven't heard anything yet so might follow it up xx

OP posts:
Confused678866 · 01/06/2021 19:00

@Snoopy28x Hey! Yes, I'm super thirsty all of the time too! 3l wow!

No, I called them again today... lady I spoke to said she had my referral sitting on her desk, she's waiting for some appointment slots and then she'd be in touch either today or tomorrow. Didn't hear back today so hopefully tomorrow... if not, I'll call back. I sent my forms nearly 4 weeks ago!!
Good luck for your booking appointment!
I have my private scan a week today so I'm currently wishing the next week away.
How many weeks are you again? X

Snoopy28x · 01/06/2021 22:05

@bethabean yeah I am looking forward to it, it seems like somethings actually happening then lol it's a long time to wait for the first scan. You keep doubting your actually pregnant!

It sounds strange... but I keep forgetting I'm pregnant!

Also another symptom now is that my fingers get so puffy over night. I cant get my ring on first thing. Have to wait an hour or 2 for them to de puff. And tonight my ankles were puffy to. I had it with my first dc. The heat isnt helping!

I hope you get your app through soon. Did you say this is your 1st DC? Xx

Snoopy28x · 01/06/2021 22:07

@Confused678866 oh how frustrating! Hopefully they get back to you tomorrow then! You dont feel like you've got the ball rolling until that first booking app do you.

Ooh that is exciting! Do let us know how your scan goes Smile

I'm 8 weeks today or there abouts. This is very much a surprise baby and I had very irregular periods on the pill so not entirely sure on my dates. I had a tiny bit of spotting so EPU wanted to scan me and they said I was around 6 weeks (2 weeks ago). So basing it on that until the dating scan. Xx

Confused678866 · 02/06/2021 09:48

@Snoopy28x Yeah, I just sort of feel in limbo and I like to know that appointments aren't booked and organised. I'm going to call again this afternoon 🤞🏻

Thank you ☺️ hopefully all is okay next week and then I can relax a little and feel more excited.. it also may help to convince my partner too 😂

Sorry to hear about your spotting! But at least you roughly know where you're at now ☺️
We were actively trying so I was tracking periods.. didn't track ovulation etc so I'm going from my LMP xx

Confused678866 · 02/06/2021 10:39

@Snoopy28x Booking appointment is on Sunday over the phone (due to covid). Then my chosen hospital will be in touch to arrange blood tests and 12 week scan etc xx

Snoopy28x · 02/06/2021 11:54

@Confused678866 yay! Glad you've got your appointment finally. I hope we get our scan apps through quickly after that x

Confused678866 · 02/06/2021 12:26

@Snoopy28x Yes, me too! 🤞🏻 xx

Snoopy28x · 02/06/2021 13:16

So tired this afternoon. Been trying to de clutter the house this week. Its took my 2 days to just tidy up the downstairs and clean. I have to keep stopping for a rest! Now I've sat down I could fall asleep...just as ds has woken up from his nap. Yawn lol

Snoopy28x · 02/06/2021 16:47

Do you girls have any inkling if your having a boy or girl?? Will you find out?

We havent found out with the previous 2 so think we will save this as a surprise to. I've manages to guess right with the last 2 lol

Confused678866 · 03/06/2021 08:41

@Snoopy28x Oh no, it's hard going isn't it! I'm getting pretty tired at work these days... the days feel so long this time around with a 2 year old in tow!

I don't have a clue at all about gender.. we found out with out little boy at an early gender scan but I think we're going to keep this one as a surprise 💛
My partner completely convinced me we were having a girl last time, so it was a shock when we found it was a boy! 😂 xx

Snoopy28x · 03/06/2021 08:58

@Confused678866 it really is lol I feel really nervous about my booking app today. I dont know why! It's just a phone app and I know what yo expect lol

My dh thinks it's another girl. It's to early for me to tell yet. I knew my last was a boy he was so active, constantly booting me in the ribs lol I was also huge!! I thought I was actually gonna pop towards the end my tummy was so stretched lol it Is nice leaving it as a surprise.

Do you have any name ideas? We have used up our 1 girl and 1 boy name now. So its gonna be really hard picking, also you want it to go with the other 2 names lol x

Confused678866 · 03/06/2021 09:11

@Snoopy28x Ahh good luck, let me know how it goes! Mine is a telephone appointment too.

Ahh does he? Me and partner haven't even mentioned it really as I don't think we want to get carried away until I've had my scan and hopefully everything is okay.
Haha, my little boy was ridiculously active too, some of the kicks and jabs I'd get would knock me sick! I should've known he was going to be a live wire based on when I was pregnant with him, he doesn't keep still!!

As for names, no clue at all.. again, we haven't mentioned anything to each other yet, I'm sure we will soon though. We struggled with boys names last time, found it really hard. So if it's another boy, I don't have a clue! There are quite a few girls names we both like individually but never really got to the point of having to discuss them and agree, so we'll see! Haha xx

Snoopy28x · 03/06/2021 09:40

@Confused678866 just got some info text over from my midwife and it says I have to attend scans alone Sad that makes me really sad, I feel like thats part of the bonding for the dad actually seeing baby for the first time. Makes it more real for them.
