Anyone 6 weeks too?!

Hi! I found out I was pregnant nearly a week ago and wondering if anyone around the same due date (15th Jan 2022) would want to keep each other updated on symptoms etc this is my first and I'm so excited!

Yeah I think that's what daunts me most.. the sleep! I'm always tired anyway but it must hit you so much harder when there's a newborn thrown into the mix. Hoping my little boy takes to the new baby well.. he's very used to it just being the 3 of us so it will definitely be a shock to him. Ahh little girls are very sweet for that, their mothering instinct kicks in doesn't it!

Oh no, hope it disappears for you. That's how I've been on and off for the last few weeks! Luckily it hasn't lasted too long for me though xx

@Confused678866 yes I was a little emotional if in honest, I was worried she would hate us for having another. She was my little side kick, went everywhere with me. But she just accepted this new little person straight away, didnt even mind going off to bed when he was still up. Which shocked me! He will love it when he realises its a new play mate.

My little girl keeps telling me to go to hospital and get another baby! She wants me to get 10 more. So she must like having a brother xx

@Snoopy28x I will definitely be calling them tomorrow! So excited for that first scan symptoms are okay. Dreams have been crazy and I am going for a wee all the time which I didn't think would happen until later on! Nausea is okay and I can't stop eating! Have put on weight already.

Maybe you felt sick because you've been so tired?? I hope you don't get any sickness for number 3! Have you had anymore symptoms?

I would love to have a boy but I'd be more than happy with a girl too! So long as they're healthy then it's all good with me xx

@bethabean yes It is so exciting seeing them wriggle about and see their heartbeat! When you first feel them move it amazing! I get a bit less keen when they are big and kicking me in the ribs haha

Yes I keep weeing all the time! I get up a few times a night. I'm still thirsty alot, sore boobs but not as bad now. Weirdly I keep getting swollen feet by the end of the day, especially when it's been hotter. Yes I think the sickness might have been tiredness and hunger? Felt better after I ate something. I feel like I get fuller quicker already to!?

Yes I feel like I've put weight on to, I think alot is extra water and because we are producing more blood to. All adds up!

Boys are so cuddly! Mine is nearly 2 now and he still climbs up for snuggles then goes off to play. Very cute. My daughter is nearly 5 and super independent, I'm sure she thinks shes about 25 lol

I'm feeling fed up lol been getting spd pains today. I walked my daughter to pre school this morning and now tonight I've got horrible pain shooting down my leg and foot and the familiar pelvic pain rearing its ugly head. Dreading it!

My ds is still running round wide awake I'm about to just take him to bed with me cuz I'm shattered haha

@Snoopy28x Oh no, that sounds horrible. It sounds similar to sciatica? I've never suffered with SPD.

Oh gosh what time did he end up going to bed last night?! 😳

I'm off work today as I have my private scan later! I don't work Mondays anyway and today is booked off so I've had a 4 day weekend! 🥳 xx

He went to bed at 10.30 think he might be going through the 2 year sleep regression. I really hope not. cant deal with that I'm to tired lol

SPD is horrendous! I've read that it's like your walking round with a broken pelvis when it gets worse I get a constant stabbing pain in my pelvis like sling your pubic bone. Feels like its snapped in 2. And just walking 10mins to pre school I would be doubled over and almost in tears. Then if you've walked it gets worse as the day goes on. Then when you sit down and try and get up it all ceases up. Also hurts if you turn over in bed or climb stairs. Anything that involves moving your legs separately.

Feels ok so far this morning so may just of been walking to pre school to fast or something. I wouldnt wish it on anyone!

I'm impatiently waiting for my scan letter lol x

Oh wow yeah it sounds like it. It's awful when they go to bed so late isn't it because you don't get any evening to yourself either. I'm asleep by 9pm these days 😂

Oh wow that sounds awful 😢 fingers crossed you don't get it again this time and hopefully it was just a one off yesterday 🤞🏻
I remember lots of ladies having it when I was pregnant with my first and I didn't realise how bad it was!

I'm sure you'll get it soon - I haven't had mine yet either. The midwife I spoke to said I should hopefully receive it in the next couple of weeks. Xx

@Confused678866 will they give you a scan picture?? When I went to EPU this time at 6 weeks they wouldn't let me have a picture.. I had to go on my own as my dh wasnt allowed so I really wanted a picture so he was reassured to.

Yeah I usually would be asleep by 9 lol he was up at 6am I think hes got teeth on the move because hes very chompy on things and off his food. Hes only got his 4 back molars to go the last front ones are through but moving out more.

My friend got her scan app through within 2 days of her booking app! I am 9 weeks today, it seems to be going fast! I keep getting the odd wobble like wow 3 kids... lol but my dh reassures me we can do this lol this one was definitely a surprise as I'm turning 40 next month, but I had always in my head thought 3 kids would be nice. Dh is from a huge family so he always wanted lots of kids x

@Snoopy28x Yes as it's a private scan. I think it costs £45 so you usually get a few pictures. I had one last time but I turned out to be around 10 weeks rather than 7 and I remember getting pictures then but baby would've been bigger.
Yeah I think EPU don't give them out due to cost and it's mainly for reassurance isn't it. I can understand you wanting to be able to show your DH though.

Oh bless him, yes it's probably to do with that. We're still waiting for the last 4 molars (I think). He never ever lets me look in his mouth so I never know what's going on... teeth brushing is fun 👀

Oh that's so quick!! You should definitely get yours soon.. I suppose it all depends on areas doesn't it. I'm hoping I get mine soon so I can book the time from work properly and make the relevant excuse - as I won't tell them until after 12 week scan.
You'll be fine 🙂 you've mastered 2 so the third will just slot straight in. My partner always said he wanted 3 and I said 2.. but I guess we'll see how we feel after the second. The nursery fees ruin it for us to be honest though as it's just too much and when you work out how many years you pay it for per child, it's ridiculous! Xx

So I booked a private scan for Thursday! I should be 9 weeks on the Friday so hopefully there will be something to see. I'm so nervous something will be wrong but I'll let you all know once I'm back xx

@bethabean Ahh that's lovely! Bet you can't wait. I'm sure all will be fine. Mine is at 2:30 this afternoon and I'm the same, getting quite anxious! Xx

Morning! @bethabean and @Confused678866 how are you both doing?

Had a hectic day yesterday, to much rushing about not enough water and to much being out on the sun. I was soooooo thirsty last night!! Had a few mild cramps this morning which I'm guessing is maybe things stretching etc. Going to take it easy today. I had such a good sleep last night but still am shattered today.

I got my scan app through for 7th july. so the nervous wait continues!

@bethabean did you manage to get your booking appointment sorted out?

@Confused678866 when did you feel your first kick?? I cant really remember with my first, but my 2nd I felt that first little flutter around 11 weeks and then more movements 13 weeks. So would be exciting to feel this one then to as it doesnt seem that long away! X

@Snoopy28x Hey! I'm good thanks.. wow, sounds like you had a hectic day yesterday - it's so hot isn't it! I'm quite grateful of being in an air conditioned office!
I'm really tired too.. also had a good nights sleep but still feel shattered. I had really bad exhaustion last time though.

We're going to have to book another private scan for when I'll be 11 weeks as we go on holiday with partners family and we think we're going to have to tell them as it's going to be hard to hide it. Then hopefully I'll have my 12 week scan letter through as well.
How many weeks will you be when you have your scan?

Oh gosh, I didn't feel the first proper kick until I was 20 weeks! In fact, it happened at my 20 week scan while she was scanning me. I possibly felt flutters beforehand but I couldn't be sure. I think it's earlier with second, third etc xx

@Snoopy28x I feel like the pregnancy has hit me today! I am absolutely exhausted and so grumpy. My poor dp I'm sat waiting to go into my scan now and so nervous! Going to call about the booking appointment once I'm out. Xx

@bethabean how did the scan go??? Yes I am absolutely shattered today to!!! I had such a good sleep but woke up shattered. The kids have been driving me slightly insane today. My eldest doesn't go to pre school tues and Thursday and then gets bored and naughty..! She is learning how to push my buttons and I dont have the energy for it lol shes currently sulking in her room because she dropped a toy on the dog and I told her off.

@Snoopy28x it was so good! Baby is healthy and I saw the lovely little heartbeat. It's made it feel so much more real now! I'll attach a picture even though it looks like a blob right now

Awww @bethabean that is super cute!! Congratulations on seeing your little baby 😍 it's so hard to get your head round they are growing inside you isnt it? Even when I gave birth I still didnt really understand how this tiny person was in my tummy and I grew them!

It is hard going being pregnant with little ones. The first 3 months are rough with the exhaustion. Then you get a bit perkier for 3 months but get heavier. Then the last 3 months is tiring because you cant sleep that great. I guess it prepares you for the sleepless nights lol

It's all worth it though xxx
