Anyone 6 weeks too?!

Hi! I found out I was pregnant nearly a week ago and wondering if anyone around the same due date (15th Jan 2022) would want to keep each other updated on symptoms etc this is my first and I'm so excited!

@Confused678866 well just spoken to EPU. She asked a few questions about the spotting. Didnt seem to concerned. She didnt offer a scan. However she said sometimes the bleeding can be due to a sensitive cervix. And suggested booking a gp cervix check. They can check if there is anything around the cervix that is bleeding or check for infection etc. So I guess thats my next port of call. Not really keen on the idea of someone poking about down there when I'm pregnant! Xx

@Snoopy28x It's good that she didn't sound too concerned. I know what you mean, I don't think I'd want that either. Maybe just see how the next couple of days go and if you get anymore spotting you could book a private scan and maybe visit the GP.. fingers crossed for no more spotting though.
How do you feel now you've spoken to both EPU and midwife? Xx

@Confused678866 I feel a bit more reassured that there are multiple reasons for causing the spotting. I think just due to my previous mc any sight of anything and I freak!

Both kids are poorly now 😒 stinking colds. I really hope I dont catch it!! Honey and lemon doesn't quite cut it like lemsip lol

Oh no, nightmare! My little one had a chest infection thin a couple of weeks ago and I was dreading catching it too! Fingers crossed you managed to escape it 🤞🏻

I've had brown spotting today.. so scared everytime I go to the toilet. Gonna ring gp today and see when they can do the cervix check. If its gonna be ages then I'm gonna speak to Dh about doing a private scan. Just to know for sure what's going on.

Both kids are full of cold. Ds has been up most of the night bless him. Dd was up at 4am but manages to get her back to sleep until 6am. Gonna be a long day xx

Oh no! At least it's brown though, that's very common. I think if it was me, I'd just book a private scan anyway because if they can offer you some reassurance then you'll feel so much better and less stressed.

Oh gosh it's hard isn't it when they're full of a cold, especially when it's both of them as well. Hopefully the day passes quickly for you 🤞🏻 xx

@Confused678866 poor ds is suffering. Hes just either asleep or just laying on the sofa watching paw patrol whimpering. Dd seems a little bit happier today.

I just feel a bit exhausted with it all lol xx

Hi ladies! Hope you're all okay. Been so busy and stressed with work that I've hardly been on here. @Snoopy28x, sorry to hear you've been having some spotting but fingers crossed it's completely fine. I have read it's normal but I understand it must be worrying! I'd get a private scan if I were you just for peace of mind if you're still worried

My booking appointment is on the 21st and I'm so excited! I know it's just form filling and tests but anything to do with the baby gets me so excited. I've been feeling so nauseous the past few days and gagged this morning whilst doing my teeth🤢also eating everything in sight and so tired so having a rough time but it's all for such a good reason

@bethabean aww that is exciting!! Let us know when you get your scan date

Yeah it's been a rubbish week, just trying to think the best and try not to think to much into it. Easier said than done haha

Sorry to hear your feeling rubbish. Hopefully in a few weeks the symptoms get a bit easier and you'll get a little break.

@Snoopy28x I will do! I had a little spotting today actually and have had cramps recently but think it's all completely normal. I have gone off so much food and I loved sushi before I became pregnant but the thought of it now makes me feel so ill! Hope you and @Confused678866 are doing okayxx

@bethabean sorry to hear about your spotting to. Hopefully the fact we both have been experiencing it means it's a normal common thing hey! My midwife didnt seem overly concerned. I've not had any more since last night. I had a very hectic day cleaning etc so think that seems to make it worse.
Going to try and rest a bit today. Ds has been up most of the night again, bless him hes really suffering. He perked up a bit this morning and actually had some breakfast. Now he's having a nap. So hoping hes on the mend. I've got to get everything sorted for our weekend away... so gonna just do that slowly and carefully.

We go away tomorrow morning we have to be there by 1-2pm for our allotted check in. And it's an hour and a half drive. So have got a little time to do things in the morning. Hoping to get the car packed up tonight when Dh gets home. Hoping ds feels better tomorrow. He seems to have perked up enough to play a bit and eat. Which is more than hes done for a few days. Xx

@Snoopy28x Ahh that's lovely. At least you don't have to rush around in the morning either. Glad your little one is feeling a little better, just in time for your break.
We are going away next Saturday for a week. For a moment, it looked as though we were going to be moving house the day before but I'm hoping it will be after we get back now. Xx

Yes dd is so excited for our break. Shes been counting down sleeps since 29 haha shes skipping about planning what outfits to pack 😂😂 xx

@Snoopy28x I know, I'm hoping it's after we get back too. I wouldn't mind but it's been going on since end of Jan/early Feb! No we're only going 5-10 mins away. Our house is too small for us now and definitely will be with another baby so we've found something bigger and a bigger garden etc.

Oh that's so sweet!! She sounds very excited. I bet it's lovely when they're aware and they can get excited over things. My little one was 2 in April and how communication is absolutely amazing but he obviously doesn't understand everything we say to him.. I've been trying to hype him up about the holiday and the bigger house and he's getting there now! Xx

@Confused678866 aww that's so cute! Yes it is lovely. Her birthday is just after xmas so she gets so excited at that time of year for it all!

Well more bleeding.. I've rang epu again. Hoping they scan me this time. I cant get a private scan until tuesday at the earliest..

@Snoopy28x Ahh bless her, she sounds very sweet.

Oh no! If I was you, I'd actually really push them for a scan. Tell them that you were willing to pay for a private one but there's no availability until Tuesday and you're going away tomorrow so you need to have a scan today. I personally think you've handled all of this so well and took it in your stride but with the bleeding coming back, you'd like to be scanned so that you know all is well. Let me know what happens xx

@Confused678866 yes I am gonna push for a scan and say that I'm really worried. I really hope they do it. I dont see why they wouldn't xx

@Snoopy28x Yes definitely do. I really don't get it? I'm so surprised that they haven't scanned you me this has been happening, it's strange! Xx

@Confused678866 ok got a scan tomorrow at 12.15.. either way I guess at least I've got the holiday to keep me busy.. fingers crossed its good news xx
