Is anyone else suffering from carpal tunnel syndrome? 33 weeks and want to chop my hands/arms off Sad. Have a telephone consultation with a nurse practitioner on Thursday but Google already tells me there's pretty much nothing they can do. Already have a splint and that makes no difference. Looks like it will be 7 weeks of my other half constantly massaging and icing my chubby hands lol.

Also please tell me I'm not the only one who's knees hurt, pelvis hurts, vagina hurts, back hurts, and can't get comfy because bump now rests on legs. I thought all this would kick in later haha

FirstTimeMummy2021 · 18/05/2021 14:27

Ah! Thanks for the new thread @thatbasicsnowflake

It's all getting a bit closer now isn't it!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 18/05/2021 14:33

I dont have carpal tunnel syndrome this time but have had it before and it is horrid SadFlowers

@rainbowhunter89 yes all my everything hurts! Everytime i walk anywhere i get the worst fanmy daggers ever! And there are just all these hard lumps of baby poking in my ribs and getting in the way when i sit down!

OP posts:
b1990 · 18/05/2021 14:49

My pelvis hurts a lot on some days.
Frustratingly some days it's fine, and then other days I go to get up and it's like someone's kicked me in the foof whenever I walk.

Guess it's all part of the parcel of growing a human.... and it's not dehabilitating, just means I grunt more when I roll over, stand up, walk, or climb stairs.

I'm more just feeling SHATTERED all the time, which feels like trimester 1 fatigure, but back with a vengance.

Can't believe it's 2 months til we meet our small one tho. Time is FLYING

Mylasmummy2102 · 18/05/2021 14:58

I am super achy!! But I have a scan tomorrow as I have to much fluid and baby is already over 5lb so if I still have to much fluid or it's increased they will look at inducing me early so he may be a June baby. 😱

I also have the dagger pains apparently they are lightening pains that happen when baby is moving their way down

So excited tho I hope everyone is doing okay 💙💗

jenwren19 · 18/05/2021 15:32

Hi 👋🏻 is it ok if I join?! Have just come across these threads.

I'm currently 31 weeks and due July 20th. I'm a FTM and we're having a surprise.

It's great to hear from people due around same time as me, although after reading the previous thread, I feel very disorganised as haven't started packing hospital bag yet and still have a few bits and pieces to get ready. Can't believe how fast this pregnancy is going!!

Last few days I've really been struggling with a sore pelvis and pubic bone - anyone else had this? Apart from that I'm feeling pretty good!

Bunny2021 · 18/05/2021 15:42

Due our first baby - a boy on 28 July!

@jenwren19 - I haven't started packing anything yet and still need to buy half of it!

b1990 · 18/05/2021 15:49

@jenwren19 I'm due 17th July, nothing packed yet. I have a couple of bits n pieces I've mentally set aside for my stuff and a couple of baby onesies in our changing bag, but nowhere near the list that some people have together.

I'm doing a shop at the weekend to buy some bits n start getting the bag ready.... From all acounts labour is kinda long to start with so I'm counting on having 'faffing' time to distract myself from contractions n pack bits n pieces, after already having essentials packed.

more of a headache is carseat - feels like a huge decision n so much choice!

joanneligthelm · 18/05/2021 16:22

can i join? i am 43 due my 1st on July 22nd although I will be induced a week earlier due to my age!

Foxglovesandlilacs · 18/05/2021 16:26

I’m not on the list as I name changed, used to be issdorapolly! Expecting baby number 8 July 22nd Smile

Hope everyone’s ok, it’s going so fast! X

Foxglovesandlilacs · 18/05/2021 16:30

I took my youngest two to a toddler group today for the first time since before the lockdown, it was so nice for my youngest, he was born just before the whole COVID thing kicked off so his whole life has been in a lockdown really! I’m so glad this one will be born when things are back to normal (well fingers crossed anyway)

TiredAlreadyOhDear · 18/05/2021 16:32

@b1990 @jenwren19 I’m also not packed yet either - I’ve started getting a few bits and it’s all just piled up in the baby’s room going to wait until I have everything and then pack it with my other half so he knows where things are haha! It’s getting so real though! Can’t wait till my pram arrives!

PeanutButterFalcon · 18/05/2021 17:09

Just packed my bag today, I saw packed I put it in and now it won’t do up! Few more bits to get too. Didn’t realise we needed so much!
Need to pack DH and the dogs bag too.
@TiredAlreadyOhDear when is your pram ready?
@Rainbowhunter89 yes starting to feel sore have had PGP since the start and it’s really kicking in now.

PeanutButterFalcon · 18/05/2021 17:09

Say not saw

Rainbowhunter89 · 18/05/2021 17:13

Yes! It's my pubic bone that hurts too. If I get up from lounging or from bed it hurts and I kinda have to hobble it off. The trips to the loo during the night are not fun, that's for sure!
THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 18/05/2021 17:16

If you are struggling when getting up in the night now i would like to warn you i have fallen like this before, please try and make sure you have something to support yourself on when getting up as your legs can just go Sad

Inthesky42 · 18/05/2021 17:27

Can I join? I'm 30+6 due July 21st but having ELCS on 15th. I've already got a 16 month old boy and boy am I worn out!

THATbasicSNOWFLAKE · 18/05/2021 17:32

More the merrier!

Welcome new folk! I will add to the list later.

@Inthesky42 i have 5 dc including a 20m old so i feel your pain!

I'm due the 4th and not packed really, my bag is there and open and has some stuff in but mainly toiletteries etc. No baby clothes have been washed yet so they can't go in and i can't decide on snacks!

OP posts:
MillyJS · 18/05/2021 17:44

Time is really flying by isn't it?!

I'm very disorganised - no hospital bag or bits bought for it yet & the nursery is still currently my office 😂 The pushchair has arrived though so that's something!

Like everyone else, I'm starting to feel quite tired & have some pelvic pain which I think is just down to the weight of the bump.

I've got a scan next week to see if my placenta has moved as it was over my cervix at my 20 week one. Quite nervous!

Mylasmummy2102 · 18/05/2021 18:11

@MillyJS

I had this problem with my placenta too! I had my scans at week and it had completely moved good luck I hope it has moved for you! Xx

Flittingaboutagain · 18/05/2021 18:14

Thanks for the new thread. Don't worry about adding me to the huge list!

C3PO31 · 18/05/2021 19:25

Can I join?
I’m 32+3 FTM and technically due on July 10th, however baby is already weighing 5lb with a 97th centile head so he may be arriving in June!

I’ve started the hospital bag and the clothes washing but everything seems to take forever to do now 😂 and I’m forever frustrating DP by having to sit down and rest all the time haha!
Also I’m definitely suffering from that kicked in the foof feeling 😩! x
