Hey all,

I know this is bit of a long shot, but is anyone due in March 2021?

I appreciate everyone is from different places, but are there a few ladies that want to create a WhatsApp group or something so we can be “cyber mum friends”?

I know being a mum (or a first time mum in my case) can be very daunting and a scary time, and not only that, but it can be quite lonely.. so it’s be great if a few people would like to become “online friends” so we can just talk and have company/share experiences/worries/how bored they are Hmm

Hi @lozablott

There was a thread going for March 2021 but within a few pages everyone wanted to merge onto a Facebook group so I think it died out. I was gutted as I don’t have Facebook and it would have been nice to have a thread going from the beginning to chat about the goings on!

This is number 4 for me. I’ve been terribly anxious throughout. I’m generally an over-thinker anyway but I’ve been plagued with a “we’re pushing our luck” type of feeling. It has got a lot better now I can feel him moving. I’m 28 weeks today.

How are you feeling? Nothing compares to the excitement of your first Smile

HungryHippo20 · 04/01/2021 16:46

Hi 👋I'm 30+4 and due 11th March! I'm a first time mum at 40 and I live in Scotland. Experienced two miscarriages prior to this pregnancy so have been super anxious but like @PowPurry I'm feeling much better now I feel her move (loads!)

Have had quite a good pregnancy to be honest. Feeling a bit nervous and scared now I've got just over 9 weeks to go! Have started reading a hypnobirthing book which I'm enjoying and I think it's been helpful!

How have your pregnancies been? Have you found out sex? Feeling organised? X

KB13 · 04/01/2021 16:51

Hi 🙋🏼‍♀️ I’m due on the 04/03. This will be my 3rd baby. I already have 2 daughters who are 8 and 6 and this one will be a little boy. We are all anxious to meet him now 😬 I’m finding this pregnancy a lot more nerve wracking with everything that is currently going on in the world :(

lozablott · 04/01/2021 17:42

4th baby!!? Wow good on you! Superwoman. I’m an over thinker too- this whole pandemic and Covid isn’t helping either, is it!?

I’m ok, just sort of wish little one was here. I know I shouldn’t wish my pregnancy away, but I am so bored and just need and want company

@HungryHippo20 I am so sorry to hear about your miscarriages, I can’t imagine how that must’ve been and how you dealt with them.

Is hypnobirthing worth looking into? I sort of feel guilty because I don’t even talk to my baby In my belly and I know it’s sort of advised to do so.. I’m not the only one, right?

My pregnancy has been really good so far! I’ve been dead lucky- no morning sickness or anything. The only symptom I had was sore boobs (sorry if it’s TMI). I’m also having a girl, which I’m very excited about.. but I’ve only just entered my final trimester so I don’t wanna jinx anything haha! X

@KB13 2 girls and a boy- do you feel prepared? I couldn’t even imagine myself with one let alone 3! Nothing I want more though than to be a mum.

We’re all a little apprehensive and anxious (well I am anyway) giving the current circumstances. I’m more anxious about her being here and having to co-parent and not having her here at all

NotThatKindOfDoctor · 04/01/2021 17:55

Hi! I’m 37 and like @PowPurry this is number 4 for us.

We live in South West France here so have no family or (English) friends nearby.

I’m 30 + 5 and am due a csection around about the 2nd March, although we’ve not had the official date yet.

Where abouts in Scotland are you @HungryHippo20...I often dream of moving to North Berwick!

HungryHippo20 · 04/01/2021 18:10

@lozablott some of the hypnobirthing book isn't my cup of tea (visualising hot air balloons....😆) but if nothing else it explains how our bodies work in labour and how breathing works with our body to help not hinder. It's defo worth a read I would say!

I sort of talk randomly to the baby and my hubby does but we feel a wee bit daft 🤣🤣we've played her music too!

That's great you've had a good pregnancy too. I feel that I'm more at that uncomfortable stage where climbing the stairs and moving in bed is an effort 😂

I'm now thinking about hospital bag and what I'll need....ordered some maternity pads and breast pads. Also just got some nursing bras ordered, hoping to breastfeed but not putting pressure on myself!

Looks like we will get some good advice and guidance from all you 4th time mummies!! I'm telling myself labour can't be that bad if you've all done it 3 times already 😆

@NotThatKindOfDoctor I live in fife just over the bridge from Edinburgh. What makes you fancy north Berwick? 😊 we've just been put into lockdown again from midnight.....I'm so hoping it's under control by March 😣xx

lozablott · 04/01/2021 18:16

@HungryHippo20 I think I’ll end up giving it a read- I have nothing else to do🤣 visualising hot air balloons doesn’t appeal to me either though haha!

Oh my gosh yes! Turning in bed is an absolute pain- and I’m waking up every 3 hours for a wee whereas before I could go before bed and then when I woke up!!! Once I’m awake... I’m awake! It’s annoying but all worth it I guess.

I haven’t even thought about the hospital bag.. I suppose I have a few more weeks to be fair.

Have you guys got all your “essential” things bought? Like the pram and nursery furniture? I know this is crazy- but I bought everything when I was like 14-16 weeks! I was just far too excited.

OP posts:
Paperyfish · 04/01/2021 18:18

Me too! 28 weeks with my fourth! Am in Surrey.

HungryHippo20 · 04/01/2021 18:31

Yip and when you pee you think "is that it?" cos you felt absolutely bursting and hardly anything came out 🤣🤣

We've got all the big things. Parents will collect pram next month (eek!) and we've got nursery furniture all built. Just ordered her curtains today and we've got paper ready to go up. I was more worried about covid so we just ordered all of it after 16 week gender scan ☺️

I have a low lying placenta so I'm back on 27th jan for a scan to check if it has moved up any 🤞🤞otherwise might need CS. I think the chances are it'll have moved though. Any of you experienced mums had this?

ALew15 · 04/01/2021 19:04

Hii. I'm due 15th March and I'm a first time mum from South Wales. 30 weeks today. So excited to meet our baby girl 💕

KB13 · 04/01/2021 19:09

@lozablott as prepared as I can be 🙈 I’m just waiting on the last few things to be prepared. But it’s easier with subsequent pregnancies as you know what you do and don’t need. It’s going to be a massive change from 2 to 3 especially with the age gap. But my daughters are so excited to have a little brother and they will be so helpful. I just wish I could fast forward the next 8 weeks and have him here safely. I’m someone who will go over every scenario in my head and then stress myself out which isn’t very helpful.

I’m with you on the waking every 3 hours for a wee. I’ve also found that I wake between 3 and 5 now as well and struggle to fall back to sleep 😴

Thunder212 · 04/01/2021 19:39

Hey 👋 I’m 27 from Scotland and due 12th March with baby number 2!
I’m very anxious this time.. thinking because I had such a great pregnancy and labour first time round I won’t be so lucky this time!
We have just gone into lockdown again so hoping partner will get to birth as this is baby 5 for him but his first daughter!
Do you guys know what you are having ?

X

Colorsofthewind · 04/01/2021 20:23

Yay a March thread!

Hi, I'm a first time Mum from Scotland and due 28 weeks today with a baby girl. It's great to have a thread like this for keeping up with others experiences - we're so excited but feeling a little anxious today now we're back in full lockdown!
Nice to (virtually) meet you all! SmileFlowers

HungryHippo20 · 04/01/2021 21:01

@Thunder212 @Colorsofthewind where about in Scotland are you both? I'm watching and waiting for updates from NHS fife about partners and scans etc 😬due a scan on 27th jan x

Thunder212 · 04/01/2021 21:07

@HungryHippo20 I’m in the highlands! What about you ? I’m due a scan on the 11th.
I thought oh a March baby...this will all be over by then 😂
I keep checking the maternity app waiting on updates

I'm down in Fife ☺️ yes I thought the exact same but nothing feels any better at all!!! The only good thing I suppose is a lockdown now means slight chance of improvement by March 🤞🤞the maternity app is great isn't it!!

Is yours a growth scan? I'm needing to get placenta checked as it was low lying at 20 week scan. I've got another scan in Feb too,
Was already planned before I knew about the placenta issue because I'm "old" lol (I'm 40, actually just realised I'm nearer 41 but because I turned 40 in lockdown it doesn't count does it?! 🤣🤣)

Helenknowsbest · 04/01/2021 21:40

Hi I'm 28 years old from Newcastle upon Tyne. I'm 28 weeks pregnant with a daughter (currently have a 17 month old son). Feeling a bit nervous as our house purchase fell through last year due to stricter deposit rules. So currently in a 2 bed flat until we can purchase. Son has the second room and my daughter will be in our room with us. Pregnancy has been rough but now in the last stretch. Due 25th March! X

lozablott · 04/01/2021 22:43

@ALew15 @Colorsofthewind
How exciting for FTM’s- I’m glad I’m not the only one 🤣👀 feel slightly unprepared though ngl! And this whole new lockdown that’s been announced tonight has really tipped me over the edge. I just want to cry- but that’s probably the hormones 🙄.

@KB13 I’m awake for a week around1/2am and don't fall back until 3/4. And then I’m wide awake ready for the day at 7/8 🤣 getting sick of it now. I also feel I can’t nap throughout the day, as I just wake up dead groggy and moody.

@Thunder212 they’ve told me it’s likely to be a girl, so I’m going with that. They have confirmed whether it’s a girl- I know they’re not allowed to, they’ve just said “yeah it looks like a girl”... I hope so anyway as I’ve bought girl clothes and done her nursery 🙈

@Helenknowsbest oh my days, poor woman! This must all be so difficult and hard for you. Luckily though, you’re not in it alone.. I know it’s bad circumstances with the lockdown etc. But at least you have your partner with you to do it all with!
I’m due 27th March so very near the same.

Glad I’ve made this thread. I feel a bit more relaxed and reassured myself talking to others in a similar situation or just for a chat x

Hello hello!

I'm due 14th March and I'm from London.

Nice to meet you all :)

I have just started the Positive Birthing Company digital pack - might not all be for me but I like the idea of positive and powerful language.

Tonight's new was a bit :/ I thought we'd be past this when it was our time but as long as we can have our birth partners we can survive ♥️

Has everyone finished work yet? I'm finishing at 36 weeks (12th Feb) and I flutter between maybe I should stay longer as I'm at home and I CANT WAIT NOT TO LOG ON TO THIS LAPTOP AND DEAL WITH ANNOYING QUESTIONS Grin

Sho2207 · 05/01/2021 00:11

@HungryHippo20

I'm due 12th March and also had two miscarriages before this one. How are you feeling now in third trimester? X

Sho2207 · 05/01/2021 00:12

@Thunder212
Due date buddy 😁
Also 12th March!
Been on so many threads and your the first I've seen with the same due date 😂 X

SkyBlue20 · 05/01/2021 04:24

Hi all! Lovely to see another March thread!

I’m due a little girl on 13th. It’s our first baby but second pregnancy after a MMC last year. Have been very anxious throughout as a result but it’s easing slightly the more I can feel her (anterior placenta so has taken a while!) I still can’t believe there’s actually a baby in there that will be ours to look after for life in mere weeks! So overwhelming but very exciting!
