Hopefully I'll be joining you in 10 days time or so!

KitQ · 22/12/2020 09:11

Yess got my BFP Sunday night. Due September 3rd or 5th depending on which calculator I use.

Highfalutinlootin · 22/12/2020 18:35

Hello all! And @KitQ especially happy to see you here. I'm due around September 1-2. Really hoping baby can hold out until September so it's the oldest and not the youngest in class!

KitQ · 22/12/2020 19:28

Hi @Highfalutinlootin :) me and husband been talking about that! If they’re born in August they’ll be the youngest but they’ll be straight in school after turning 4. Won’t have to worry about childcare for an extra year like you would when born in September. Pros and cons to both.

Everstorm · 22/12/2020 19:58

My DP and I just had a positive test! It will be our first :)

Still can't quite believe it and soo many questions, but so very excited!!

We had the same thoughts about the school year, it can make quite a difference. But as you said @KitQ there are pro's and con's either way. Doesn't change how overjoyed we are :D

Cornertakenquickly · 22/12/2020 20:19

Just had a BFP today and that puts me as due 1st September. Had a chemical at 4wk 5 days last time though so not getting too excited yet.
Congratulations to everyone else on their positives.

KitQ · 22/12/2020 21:13

Anyone had any symptoms yet? I’ve been so nauseous since Thursday. Almost unbearable today honestly. Someone heated up curry at work and nearly sent me running for the loo.

Scaredycat101 · 22/12/2020 22:45

Congrats everyone 🥳! So happy I've found this thread!

I've just got my BFP at 3+3 this evening, I'm l sat on the sofa a bit dazed and shaking like a leaf (happy but shocked)! I think mine will be a September 4th baby.

I've had a few symptoms, excess saliva (weirded me out as who knew this was a thing?!), going to the loo lots, mild cramping, pins and needles down my thighs, a bit emotional and lumpy boobs 😳.

Highfalutinlootin · 22/12/2020 23:32

I was driving to buy Christmas groceries and "Do They Know It's Christmas" was on the radio, and I started sobbing. If that isn't utterly irrational pregnancy emotions, I don't know what is. Aside from that no real symptoms yet!

Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 00:08

@Highfalutinlootin Ahaha definitely sounds like pregnancy emotions are kicking in! I cried putting gifts under the tree from family earlier which set me off 😂! Hope collecting your Christmas groceries went okay, we went to collect ours today and it was heaving!

Hunt123 · 23/12/2020 02:32

I got my BFP today ! 2/3 weeks according to clear blue ! Exciting times ahead ladies ! Hoping it will be an August baby ❤️

loumsc · 23/12/2020 07:16

I worked out my dates so at the moment it's saying due 2nd September. Will be my 2nd pregnancy. Already have a 23 month oldSmile

KitQ · 23/12/2020 08:13

Congrats on the BFPs everyone. We’ve got a long road ahead of us! So exciting.

Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 10:18

Definitely! Something nice to put a spring in our step this Christmas. Hope everyone is okay this morning! ☺️

Dream3r · 23/12/2020 10:30

Hi everyone, I'm around 4 weeks and believe I'll be due September 1st.
This is my first ever pregnancy after struggling to conceive, and I'm so nervous!!
It'll be nice to talk to others who are in the same boat.
I'm planning on telling mine and my partners immediate family Christmas Day! At the moment only myself and my partner know xx

Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 11:04

@Dream3r Congratulations on your BFP! You must be so relieved and excited especially after struggling to conceive ☺️.

What a lovely Christmas present for both your families, not long until you can give them the good news.

Can't wait to see how we all
progress, I don't know about anyone else but I'm still nervous as heck!

I am over the moon! I still can't believe it and am obsessively taking tests still everyday Blush

I keep thinking that something bad is going to happen, but I just try to focus on each day as it comes and am grateful for being pregnant

Everstorm · 23/12/2020 11:25

@Dream3r we were thinking of doing the same. Don't want to tell many people as very early, but could defo do with some support, and think it will make up for not being able to be with them this year.

Congratulations all! Great to have a nice group to share the journey with 😊

Darklava09 · 23/12/2020 11:29

I’m due around 2nd September. Found out yday.

So shocked this is baby no.2 with an 8 year age gap! And I think I’m more shocked this time around!

I’ve got endometriosis so expected it to take a while but this was our first month so I’m so surprised. I’m just worrying though things will go wrong and it will all end. Fingers crossed.

Yes that's exactly what I was thinking.

I'm desperate to ask my mum questions which she can help with and lean on her for support too, and so I'm counting down until Christmas lol.

I know that if the unfortunate happens, they will then also be there for both me and my partner.

It's so hard to know what to do, but I just think you have to do what's right for yourself xx

I'm so please for you!

I think we all have the same worry, I'm still testing everyday and the thought of losing the baby come across my mind every day.

I just try to distract myself and everyday I wake up, I have a little mantra that I say to be thankful for still being pregnant and having a healthy pregnancy.

It's nice to have others to talk to who are also going though the same think.

I've book an early scan for 23/01 so I think that'll reassure me too, and It was only £59 so priceless really xx

Darklava09 · 23/12/2020 11:50

Ahh congratulations to you too @Dream3r

I will tell my SIL Boxing Day as she is a midwife so I know I have her to lean on for support. You never know what to do in regards to telling people or not?

I’ll book a scan for when I’m around 8/9 weeks as that is what we did last time.

At least there is some nice news to end the bad year! Smile

I’m waiting to see my endo consultant as we speak so I guess I’ll be telling him I don’t need an operation just yet Grin

KitQ · 23/12/2020 12:24

I’ve told a few people. I feel like if something goes wrong I’ll need people to know and support us so I don’t mind. There’s a lot of shame and secrecy around miscarriage and I don’t like that.

It’s lovely news to tell people at this time of year anyway and definitely a lovely way to finish this year. I’m trying not to stress and just feeling grateful and lucky. Also booking an early scan though! Haha

Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 12:26

@Dream3r I think I'll be joining you in taking tests over the next few weeks just to check in that all is well! It's natural to worry if something will go wrong, I'm a definite worrier and overthinker, but I think talking closes family/friends and on this thread will help massively 💛. Also, £59 for an early scan is sooo good, I'm tempted to look around and see what is available where I am.

Oddly, symptoms aren't massively noticeable yet, boobs still super lumpy (not unusual for me around AF), going to the loo more and I've broken out a little bit. I'll be eating my words in a few weeks no doubt! 😂

@Everstorm I think you're right, if you feel that you need some support in the early stages then telling some close family is a must - this year especially!

We're having a huge family Zoom later and it's going to be hard not to say anything, I want to ask so many questions with family and friends, but we're going to try and keep it on the down low until 12 weeks ☺️.

@Darklava09 Thats incredible news, massive congrats on your BFP, especially with your endo! It'll be fab to have your SIL as a support being a midwife! We thought it would take a while but boy were were fortunate!

I'm trying to remain positive but it's super hard in the early stages and with what's going on at the moment. I'm scared of all the things that could go wrong but least we all have each other for support. 😀

Darklava09 · 23/12/2020 13:01

Thanks @Scaredycat101

It’s nice to speak to others on the journey! It’s crazy isn’t it. I’m just focusing on getting trough the new few weeks

@KitQ I agree with the shame and secrecy. I’ve told my cousin and will tell a few family members just encase! I’m going to hold off at work for a while though yet!
