@Darklava09 I’ve had to tell a couple of people at work as I work with

Dream3r · 23/12/2020 13:23

Does anyone else find themselves checking their calendar or baby apps constantly, just incase anything has progressed? Grin
Time seems to be going soo slow, I can't wait to be out of the 1st trimester

KitQ · 23/12/2020 13:43

Don’t know what happened to my post! Oh well.

I’ve booked an early scan on 19th January. Only £45!

Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 13:51

Not checking the calendar yet but there still time 😂🙈! I'm sure I will within the next week or so, 12 weeks is a long slog! Although I am reading up what baby will be like week on week, scary but exciting!

@KitQ £45 for an early scan is amazing! I'm tempted to although my DP keeps saying we should wait until the 12 week one... Spoil sport!

Keyboard91 · 23/12/2020 20:00

Congratulations to you all!!!

I’m quite anxious as I had 2 MCs before my LB. But I keep reminding myself that so far I’ve no reason to worry. I’ve told my sister (midwife) and best friend so I have some support either way.

Obsessively peeing on sticks every morning to see progression 🤞

I did an early scan at 9 weeks with my LB and it was worth every penny! Private scans always give you a little more time (and more time to watch and choose a picture) too (understandably!).

Have definitely noticed symptoms already. I don’t recall feeling much until 6 weeks last time! Just so tired. Off my food a bit but also ravenous. And really thirsty!

OP posts:
Darklava09 · 23/12/2020 20:26

@Keyboard91 it’s understandable you feel anxious. I feel anxious but never have experienced a MC.

I’m proper paranoid though as I’ve got really bad cramps, I’m half expecting AF. I’ve gone off my food a little and feel a bit meh.

Hopefully the next few days will take our minds off of it for a while x

Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 20:38

@Keyboard91 Sending lots of good vibes your way! It's really good you have support ready for any worries or questions, especially as we all move into Christmas. 💛

@Darklava09 I think I've heard cramping can be quite normal, so hoping this is the case for you! Maybe you could talk to your cousin or family members for some reassurance in the meantime?

I had a bit of a blip earlier where I got so anxious and overwhelmed at what could go wrong and now having to wait what seems like forever to find out 😫. My DP managed to calm down and rationalise my worries, although I was sobbing like an loon and feeling nauseous. Love this hormones already...

I think some Christmas films and any foods we can stand will set us up in good standing for the next few days!

Keyboard91 · 23/12/2020 21:01

@Darklava09 the over analysing of everything is awful. I remember cramping lots with my LB (and remember panicking and googling lots!).

@Scaredycat101 thank you 😊

I think/hope Christmas will be a distraction for us! Scotch eggs are part of a traditional Christmas dinner, right? 🙈

I accidentally ate mayonnaise earlier and almost had a meltdown but am calmer now and I’m sure it’s fine.

Progress from Sunday to today. Baby’s growing!

September 2021!
Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 21:24

@Keyboard91 Ahah brilliant, looks like they are this year 😂! I'm dreading getting to Christmas Day and not wanting to eat any of the food we've bought...🥴

@KitQ Oh no! I'm sure a little bit would be fine and you'll remember for next time. I was checking whether I could have mozzarella sticks earlier for what seemed like forever. Wow, that's some progression right there! 😀

Highfalutinlootin · 23/12/2020 21:36

Wait mayonnaise isn't allowed either? I've never heard that one.

Scaredycat101 · 23/12/2020 21:49

@Highfalutinlootin I've just had a look online now you've said that! I'm not a mayo fan so I stay clear anyways but always good to check.

@KitQ I think if it's homemade then you're advised not to eat it in case of raw eggs but commercially made ones should be okay!

So if you had some shop bought mayo I think you would be fine and no need to worry ☺️.

Keyboard91 · 24/12/2020 05:59

Are we thinking this is okay? Top is 9dpo, bottom is 12 dpo. All with FMU.

September 2021!

Keyboard91 · 24/12/2020 06:01

@KitQ shop bought is fine to eat as it’s pasteurised! Avoid home made mayo and it’s safer to say no in restaurants (not that we can go to many of those nowadays!)

KitQ · 24/12/2020 07:20

I had chipotle Mayo in a burrito from a takeaway. My husbands telling me there’s no way they make their own Mayo surely. Not stressing though, I’m sure it’s ok. Last day of work today woo!

Sceptre86 · 24/12/2020 07:56

Hi all, got my bfp this morning. This will be our third and last one. I have a dd and ds already. Congratulations to you all! Has anyone got any symptoms yet? I have been peeing a lot which made me test as I experienced that in early pregnancy with dd and ds. My sense of smell is very sensitive at the moment too. We were at lunch on Saturday and I thought the meat smelled funny whilst dh said it was absolutely fine. My due date is coming up as the 22nd September which is the day after my birthday.

PennySas · 24/12/2020 08:40

Hey All! Joining as I got my BFP yesterday - first one and 3rd month of 'not trying not to get pregnant'. In a slight state of shock and hardly slept last night - but excited too! Congratulations to all of you!! My due date is 1st Sep 2021. I haven't told anyone yet. My husband is a key worker and working over xmas so I won't see him until NYE. Trying to decide if I should call him and tell him, or wait until I see him on NYE! Its so hard keeping it to myself.

Scaredycat101 · 24/12/2020 09:15

@Keyboard91 Those tests look great, definitely getting stronger! 🥳 Have you ring your GP or Midwife team yet? I can't decide when is the best time 😭.

@KitQ Ahh I'm sure it'll be fine this one time and yay to finishing work!! You can deffo get into the Christmas spirit with pesky work out the way.

@Sceptre86 Congrats on your BFP! Amazing news to have on Christmas Eve 😀. I've been having some weird ones on and off... before BFP heavy chest, excess saliva, mild cramps, smelling mince cooking was dodgy and going to the loo lots! Now it's cramping, bit of nausea and emotional beyond belief 🥴.

Wow the day after your birthday as well, what a present that will be!

@PennySas Congrats on your BFP! It's all a bit overwhelming isn't it? We were the same as this was our first proper try and we thought we'd have a year to get to this stage. How exciting tho!! 🥰

Ooooh I'd probably wait to see him as it will be such a lovely surprise. He'll have finished work after a long, tough year and you'll give him the best news to take you both into 2021! Then again it seems so far away and it's so hard not to tell anyone. Are you planning on telling any family or waiting it out?

JollyHollyFolly · 24/12/2020 09:54

I was convinced I was out this month as I was having really bad cramps but 2 days late. Took a test this morning so I could be sad for today and try and be more upbeat on Christmas day for DD (8). To my surprise the line came up immediately! I have no other symptoms except cramping though...I hope it's not a bad sign.

I think my due date is 1st September.

I haven't told partner yet. I don't know whether to tell him tomorrow as a "present" but he's not really sentimental like that....although this will be his first bio child- my daughter is his step-daughter.

Lots of waffle- sorry...in shock.

Congratulations to all of you too

Scaredycat101 · 24/12/2020 13:49

@JollyHollyFolly Congrats on your BFP! So glad that you have some amazing news to share on Christmas 🥰.

I've had some mild cramping but last night I had an almighty cramp for a minute that felt like AF pain - I usually suffer with heavy/painful periods. But since then nothing, no bleeding, etc. I think it's normal to have cramping in the first trimester so fingers crossed all is good.

If he isn't massively sentimental you could always share the positive test this evening, I'm sure he'll be over the moon 😀

How strange!!

I had the exact same thing happen to me last night!

As I was leaving work I got this terrible stabbing cramp which only lasted a few seconds on my right side!

Since then, I have been having my usual minor cramps, no blood or anything.

Al least I'm not alone! I really started to panic xx

sydneymae · 24/12/2020 20:24

Hi everyone!
Congrats to you all xxx

I just found out I'm 3-4 weeks pregnant, due September the 4th with Clear Blue confirming 1-2 weeks after conceptionSmile

I have no idea how I'm going to not worry over the next couple of months, anyone got any tips ?

Scaredycat101 · 24/12/2020 22:22

@sydneymae Wow no way,
you have exactly the same dates as me, I'm around 3 weeks 5 days and due 4th September 🥰.

Definitely would love some tips as well to keep us on the straight and narrow through the first trimester!

Keyboard91 · 25/12/2020 05:23

Totally worrying 😩

I hate hate hate the 1st trimester

Was going to tell close family today to celebrate but now I’m too nervous too
