Yay @Lollol86 nice to see you here! I’m still reading the ttc thread but can’t post too much pregnancy stuff there.

@Poppy10121 bless you!

@Lu93 lovely scan! And congratulations for getting to the 12 week milestone! We’re only 11 days apart at the moment xx

@Sakura54 thanks for the idea 💡 ah I’m surprised your new build gets cold they are usually boiling I hear 😩 Yh my second room isn’t big so I would need bunk beds also. X

@Pugprincess I read it everyday, it's so hard isn't it as we had a lovely group there but you can't post much as it's not a pregnancy group.
How are you doing?

@Dipsy77 thanks lovely xx

Hi all!

@ew1990 How’s the isolation going? Not long left now! I too don’t believe there’s a baby in there, it’s so strange – I just want movements already. I keep worrying now, I think it’s because we have a scan coming up.

@rosiejess91 @Poppy10121 Eeeeek, almost scan days, so excited for you both!

@SmilingDonkey Fab news that your partner can go to the scans now!

@Nep2020 Congrats on the 12 week scans – and on your baby boy!

@sakura54 I don’t get prolonged cramps after weeing but I do definitely get some what feels like round ligament pain when standing up from the loo – and I get a bit crampy when I haven’t drank enough!

@bubblybon20 We’re thinking Black Friday/Boxing Day sales for the pram, car seat, etc, though will definitely go and try some out first so we know exactly what we want when it comes to it. No idea where we’ll store it, mind – probably in what will be the nursery - even when baby is here we’ll have to store it in the boot of the car and just bring baby in and out in the car seat, it’s what our neighbours do and seems to work for them. We just don’t have much hall space at all and it would take over the living room.

@DanceM1 Yay to the scan being good. Must have been lovely hearing the heartbeat.

@SmileyT Neutral, unisex colours for our little one, too – lots of grey, rust, white, etc.

@Poppy10121 I’m dying for some black denim maternity dungarees but my size seems to be sold out everywhere unless I want to pay about £60 (which I don’t)! Where have you seen some? Got some really nice maternity jeans from H&M delivered over the weekend, they’re a really dark indigo blue, skinny, over the bump band and so flattering. Only £20, highly recommend. I now have a pair of black jeans and a pair of blue so think I’m done with most of my maternity shopping for now – I always wear baggy tops anyway so am ok there for a bit.

Welcome, @Lollol86! Congrats on the scan, a heartbeat after 10 weeks is great – really reduces the odds of anything being wrong.

@Lu93 Congrats on the scan and hitting 12 weeks! Yay!

Had a lovely weekend away in Bristol and Bath, caught up with some friends and family and did lots of walking and eating. Exhausted now though, even though we went to sleep at a reasonable time every day (got to say, I’m not hating the 10pm curfew 😂) Busy week ahead at work and have my 16-week midwife appt on Wednesday morning. Half hoping she listens to the heartbeat for reassurance, half worrying in case she does and can’t find it. Got our private scan next Friday, 9th, so we can check baby is ok and find out the sex. Glad it’s coming up as really starting to worry again now – trying to kick them worries out of my head though and focus on the fact that I feel sickly today and have continued to be exhausted.

Hope everyone is having a good day so far ☺️

@skyblue20 I'm struggling now. 😩 had all of 2 hours sleep last night not going outside at all isn't good for anyone. Roll on Friday!!

Glad you had a nice break! 3 weeks tomorrow till my 20 weeks scan. It's going so fast.

@Lollol86 It was my first time in Bath, was so lovely but VERY busy, which spoiled it a little. Still, a gorgeous place!

@ew1990 I'm not surprised, must be a lot of cabin fever going on. Hopefully Friday will roll around sooner rather than later. Ahhh three weeks! Mine's four weeks tomorrow but do have my private one next Friday to break up the wait. It does seem to be going quickly, I can't believe I'm 16 weeks already! I do think the whole thing will go quite quickly as I don't feel pregnant at the mo and it'll likely be a few weeks yet (at least) before I start feeling movements etc and it feels real/we can start planning properly (not allowing ourselves to until after the 20 week scan), then we're in to October/November, then before we know it it's the countdown to Christmas, which always goes quickly. Then it's the new year and we're mere weeks away from having babies! Eeeeek!

@Lollol86 I’m ok I think lol, waiting for my private scan this Friday as last one baby was 9+1 I think if I remember right so it’s been a couple of weeks. So nervous for that. Still waiting for the spotting to stop too 😩 aslongs it’s not bright red though that’s the main thing. Getting growing pains each day so fingers crossed it’s all ok. The tiredness has been crazy! These are a lovely group too just give yourself time to settle in and get to know everyone 😊

I felt so poorly at school today, for about 2 hours I felt like I was going to throw up and I’ve had a headache since the minute I woke up 😩 going to have a nice bath now and get in my comfy clothes and enjoy a decaf cuppa tea ☕️ Ps. Can’t keep up with my body hair growth 😂🙈🙊

When are people’s scans this week? X

@SkyBlue20 ah I love Bath, it’s so pretty! Glad you had a nice visit! Thanks for the tip on H&M jeans, a friend of mine was raving about their maternity jeans too. The dungarees I saw were in a posh mum&baby shop near us and I think they are about £50 🙈 but I’ve coveted them since last pregnancy and never got far enough to buy them then so will be a big treat for me if Thursday goes ok.

@Pugprincess sorry you’re so poorly, that sounds how I felt yesterday! I took today off work to stay in bed, can’t believe you’ve had to struggle through a day teaching feeling like that 🙁 hope you feel better after a relaxed evening!

One of my very close friends has just announced their pregnancy with a due date in April 2021 - so we must be within weeks of each other, but they obviously got a scan sooner! I’m so bitter about this late 12 week scan lol. I said to my husband even if that goes ok I don’t really want to tell friends til much later - he thinks I’m a bit crazy, we’ll see... I wonder when I can start to feel more positive about it all, maybe after 20 weeks!?

Have you all started to tell work already? I was thinking to tell my boss after scan but again part of me wants to wait til 20 weeks for that if we’re all going to stay at home so no one will see me!

@Lollol86 I’m 10+5 today, mines been so hard to date cause no AF after MC so I’ve settled on Wednesdays being my weekly milestones lol. I’ve had my first midwife app but no scan date yet for nhs. Just my private one this Friday eve when I should be 11+2, baby so far had measured one day behind each time so far. I had a hematoma bleed that’s still spotting brown so unfortunately it’s not been smooth sailing 😩 how about yourself? Any scan dates coming up? Had your midwife app?

@Poppy10121 Yh I genuinely went and got fresh air with water and a bag to be sick in just incase, I wasn’t sick though just felt bad. Hopefully we will feel better soon and get that pregnancy glow I hear about 😅 I’ve told my work straight away as I wanted my risk assessment and the whole covid thing too. Plus it’s easier people knowing why you can’t lift things etc. It’s so obvious with my stomach anyway 😂

Morning all! Hope you don’t mind me joining, I was on the TTC thread with a few of the other ladies. I had a MMC in May, MVA on 15th. Got a BFP last Wed, but AF only due today so tested again with CB digital this morn which says 2-3 weeks. Off my dates I thought I was 3-4 weeks so slightly confused there, but trying to stay hopeful. Going to do another CB digital next week so it’ll hopefully have gone up a week. TIME IS DRAGGING already! 🙈 Any tips on how to get through?! Everyone seems much further along, so lovely to see scan pics 🧡🌈

I've been up since 4am, I am so nervous and worried that I just haven't been able to get back to sleep. Last time I had a scan I was told I had miscarried. This time I do feel nauseous and have loads of symptoms, unlike that time when I had no symptoms. But just panicked. Don't want to be disappointed and upset again. 😩

I've started bleeding again. Browny/red with a small amount reaching a pad and some tiny clots. I feel sick. I thought getting to my 12 week scan meant I was over the worst of it. No obvious reason for my previous bleed was found on my scans so I can't console myself with that. Ringing epu at 8am but dont they will do anything as I was only scanned on Friday. I can't do this again

Report
Pugprincess · 29/09/2020 07:26

@Workingmama1 aw it’s probably the same thing as before, could you book a private one today and ask them to look? Try to choose a decent scan place if you can as one I went to last preg didn’t look properly whereas my recent one for my bleed did. I’m still spotting brown discharge so I reckon I’m still bleeding small amounts at the moment and every toilet trip I dread to see red. It’s good you are past 12 weeks though so that’s reassuring. I would definitely try a private one to see if they can find a hematoma. Let us know xx

@RosieJess91 it sounds like with your symptoms all should be well 🤞🏻Our previous experiences must leave us with a kind of PTSD I think. Is it today? If so what time? 🤞🏻🤞🏻 For you and can you have anyone in with you? X

@Pugprincess yeah, at 9.15, so at least I don't have to wait all day for it. I think it must do. Feel awful this morning, I haven't had proper morning sickness for about 5 days now, so assume it's just nerves. Nope, all alone, my hospital aren't letting partners in until the 20 week scan.

@Workingmama1 I'm so sorry this keeps happening to you. They must have to see you as it's now after the 12 week mark. It shouldn't matter when you were last seen.

Good luck for today @RosieJess91! Everything sounds like it’s going well so I hope they’re able to confirm that and put your mind at ease 😊

@Workingmama1 so sorry you have the stress of this again, I would definitely contact the hospital and try to get some answers. If it’s brownish it might just be the last of the blood from what happened before? Fingers crossed for you 🤞🤞

@Starfish762 congratulations and welcome! You’ll see lots of us are still nervous, some people on this thread suggested setting small milestones to look forward to so you’re only counting down a couple of weeks at a time (eg to when you contact the midwife to register, when you have your booking in appt, etc). I think that can help as 12 weeks is a long wait! My advice would be to stop testing once you’ve confirmed the positive, I’ve seen people go quite obsessive trying to monitor progression with home tests and it doesn’t change anything! Don’t forget CB digital gives you the date since conception so you need to add 2 weeks to get a normal dating I.e. 1-2 on CB means 3-4 weeks in midwife terms 😊 x

Good morning all!

@RosieJess91 Good luck! It’s so nerve wracking but you CAN do it. I told the sonographer about my previous experience before we got started and she was great - told me the minute she saw the heartbeat, so might be worth mentioning. Xx

@Workingmama1 Sending so much love, it must be so difficult. The good (well not good, maybe slightly reassuring?) thing is that this has happened before and everything was ok so the odds are, it is this time, too. Call the hospital and hopefully they’ll see you. Xx

Welcome @Starfish762 and congratulations!! I don’t know much about the Clearblue tests but I believe they measure from conception rather than LMP so are usually about two weeks behind your LMP date? Time really does drag when you’re in it but you’ll look back and think how it whizzed by. We all found that setting small milestones was the best way to cope - mine were something like getting to five weeks, telling the parents, six weeks, registering with the midwife, booking appt, private scan, 12 week scan. Still setting milestones now! This is a lovely supportive group and we all completely understand the anxieties it can bring so here for you when you need us xx

@Pugprincess @Lollol86 I must say, end of April babies are the BEST (any guesses as to when I was born? 😉😂)

@Poppy10121 The dungarees sounds like the best treat ☺️ Know what you mean about the late 12 week scan, I was 13+3 for mine and the wait was awful! It’s better the other side though as less time until the 20 week one! I work for myself so told my business partner really early on (she knew about the MMC etc) just for practicality reasons but haven’t told the staff yet, we’re WFH so not much need to just yet. I want to wait until after 20 weeks before a wider pool of people know - just close friends and family for now.

@ew1990 Yep, a day behind you - 17 weeks on Saturday, which is CRAZY! I remember reading about other people being at this stage before I got pregnant and it felt like they were so far along and yet I still don’t really feel like the pregnancy has started! I keep just aiming for that next milestone before I relax and then it doesn’t happen. I’m pretty sure I will start to enjoy it more after the 20 week scan though. There’s never a 100% guarantee that all will be ok but odds are that it will be if all is ok then. I just really hope it is.

Absolutely exhausted today, couldn’t sleep until about 12:30 last night then the cat woke us up at 5am, then my husband got up at 6:15, which woke me up and I finally started dosing off again and my alarm clock went off 😫 wanted a productive day today but doesn’t seem that’s likely! Made the mistake of checking my emails when I woke up, too, and had two annoying emails from a client, which hasn’t set me up for a good morning! Hope everyone else is doing ok xx
